Waffle House was a lifesaver for me today at 4 am. I had been trying to find something to eat for a hot breakfast since passing Springfield heading east. I spent the night in my RV past the east side of Springfield and all the truck stops had nothing in their warmer bins including that huge new place that does everything in a bigger way. Service was excellent and super friendly. I ordered two eggs with hash browns, sausage, toast and strawberry jam. It was cooked to perfection. It really hit the spot after searching for the previous two hours. This Waffle House was unusual in that it had parking for a handful of semi trucks. I have been to many Waffle House restaurants and this one was very good. It was very clean both in the restaurant and bathroom. We were greeted when we walked in which is customary and opted for burgers instead of breakfast. The burger was very good with the famous hash browns not fries. The service is what made this stop so great. The welcome as we walked in, the singing cook, the friendly banter among the staff. The WH hat for the kids and we were told by at least two people goodbye and have a nice day. It was a pleasure to watch the interaction of the staff with each other and the customers. Boooooo bad visit boooooo Stopped in on our way home from STL. We'd been to this location before and it's, well, it's Waffle House. The food is always the same, amirite? Close. This time around the food quality was in question. Wife ordered: Bacon cheeseburger, lettuce, onions, mayo. Hash browns scattered and smothered. Diet Coke I ordered: Two eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns chunked, dry white toast. Coffee and water Grandson ordered: Pancake with chocolate chips, side of bacon. Sprite Granddaughter ordered: Pancake with side of tomato. Sprite When the food was received my wife had no onions on the burger, no onions in the hash browns. My toast had a sh*t ton of butter. I never saw a cup of water. We could have corrected the order but why bother, it's not like we got someone else's order and we were too tired to do it. The burger was not very pleasant. Again, you'd think it's WH and it would be consistent but not in this case. The flavour was off and even Mikey wouldn't have liked it and we all know Mikey likes everything. Now......the service. Wow. I can't say we've ever had someone as in bad of a mood as the woman who served us. I may as well have sat down and said "eat a bag of sh*t, wash your hands and then get me a cup of coffee." We were never handed menus (I had to go get them), she was rude, half listened to our order, and forgot things. I'm normally very sympathetic to waitstaff but this was just plain rude. My first ever Waffle House experience, and it didn't disappoint. I'm visiting my son and his family in Missouri, and he informed me The Waffle House is amazing and I have to try it! Well, this mama didn't raise a liar, because it was awesome. We need one in Everett ASAP! I ordered the peanut butter waffle with all the trimmin's. It was like heaven on my palate. I adore maple and peanut butter together. But, I wanna talk about the trimmins -- because they were awesome! The over-medium eggs were cooked to perfection, and the ham was amazing. For sheesh, even the toast was epic (white bread cut into perfect triangles FTW!). But, my favorite part of the whole shebang was the grits. We don't get grits served to us very often in Everett, Washington (which is where I live), so, I was thrilled to see them on the menu. Boy howdy, they were amazeballs. Just ate a breakfast meal at Waffle House in Lebanon, MO. The food was fine but someone started the music up so loud I could hardly hear the waitress. I asked if they could turn it down..... In a few minutes as I was trying to hear her again, I told her I could barely hear her for the music. She said it has been turned down but clearly, it was still overpoweringly LOUD! IT was horrible. Usually when I go to waffle house my service is great and there is never a problem. Tonight I went with some friends and our waitress was extremely rude to us. She gave us our drinks as normal but did not give us any straws, so I got up and got some straws myself for me and my table. Not a problem by the way. The waitress rolled her eyes at me, and then proceeded to tell us we needed to "fucking leave" because she "would not be disrespected by teenagers". Personally I have never had a bad experience with waffle house and love coming to waffle house because of its quick food service and friendly customer service, but unfortunately this one individual had to ruin it for me and my table. read more

Absolutely worst service around 1:30am Thursday July 13th! Managers need to watch the camera to see the cook on his phone and the waiter having zero respect and not asking for refills asking if we need any condiments or anything in general. Also what was extremely rude was laying the check on the table and walking away without saying a word. Also couldn't even get all the food to my meal. My meal was supposed to have a waffle but I guess the two other customers only drinking coffee and eating an egg was just too much for them to provide service to us. Managers need to get the employees in check. Tiny location, but convenient from the highway. Stopped In for breakfast. Renee was our server, and she was great. Food was delicious, though I wish the bacon was cooked more. I guess you have to ask for crispy. The thing keeping this from being a four star review? The smoking. They allow smoking at the bar, and the only one partaking in this was one of the waitresses. And actually, it wasn't until we went to a different waffle house later that I realized how dated this one was. The menus were old. It felt like the greasy diner from Dutch. Went in at 3:30 in the morning after trying to call in my order to no answer to the phone. Walk in to be told we're doing carry out only. Quickly I could see why because other then 1 customer which appeared to be the employees friend. Every booth and seat in the place had dirty dishes in front of it. Not 1 single place to sit if you wanted too. The other employee that was suppose to be working was outside with her boyfriend. The place was absolutely filthy. If I could give -10 stars! This is the second worse Waffle House in America that I have experienced I never have an issue getting a spot on the grill cleaned to get some hash browns and toast since that's all there is to really eat. I asked for my order in which the young lady took very nicely with no problems. However, when she went to tell the young man to clean a small section he clearly had a problem and wanted the manager she claimed to be the district manager named Julie and she abruptly walked over to the register and said we just cleaned the grill and aren't going to clean it again because you don't want something on your food. Wow Waffle House, Lebanon, Mo Waffle House is willing to allow you not to serve a family of 7 (5) children starve simply because they don't want to make a clean section on a grill. Julie is an amazing representative of trifling and poor decisions and if Waffle House agrees then I am no longer eating hash browns. Wow! I have had bad experience at The Waffle House in Lebanon. A waitress tried to overcharge me by $10.00. When I called her on it she got mad. I then went back and she was my waitress, she served me cold hot chocolate and then threw my order on the table on top of everything that was already laying on the table. When I wouldn't tip her as my table was leaving she sarcastically made remarks about not getting tipped, and was getting into it with my daughter. When I stood up for my daughter, the cook then asked me to leave..which I did. I ate there one night when the cook that was there that night wasn't there and had no problems, went in a few nights ago and was informed I was banned. I do not recommend you eat there. Outstanding service from Theresa and Jessica!! I'm extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke so when we walked in the smoke hovering in the confined space of the seats at counter was a bit overwhelming for me and was actually intensifying my migraine. With a long drive ahead of us and empty bellies, I figured I'd just stick it out. Well that's when Miss Theresa stepped in. Recognizing my discomfort, she offered us the first booth that became available away from the majority of smoke to make us (me) more comfortable. What a pleasant surprise! Our meal came out piping hot despite how incredibly busy they were. Talk about a cohesive team of people!! My coffee mug was never allowed to be low for long and our server Miss Jessica was amazing! As we left I made sure to let Miss Theresa know that even though we have a Waffle House down the block from us in St. Robert - based on THIS experience and how pleasant and accommodating they were, they have earned my business. A friend and I eat at this Waffle House every Friday morning at 3am. This morning when we walked in, the juke box was playing loud obnoxious music so loud that we had to raise our voices to talk across our table. Initially, we assumed it would soon stop but, an employee went over to it and commenced stuffing it with money, and punching song, after song, after song. So, we realized it was going to play the entire time we were there. Prior to this, we had both ordered breakfast. Very quickly, I got tired of listening to the thumping music, so I approached the juke box playing employee. I told her that I was tired of listening to it, and that she should turn it down or off. Her reply was that the volume control was in the Manager's Office, which she had no access to. I then told her to unplug it. She said she couldn't do that, so we were forced to go to the local Hardee's instead. We left while our meals were still being cooked. When it comes down to it, I know no friends that want to listen to music in a Waffle House. They are there to eat. Not be subjected to a loud unwanted concert while they try to eat in peace. If experiencing this again, I'll scratch Waffle House off my local go-to list, and will do my level best to advertise my reasons why. I intend to visit the local Waffle House Manager later this morning to convey my personal disgust with this morning's experience. read more
