They charge a To Go fee and Service charge fee. CEO's / CFO's make enough money and should just pay their employees more. Businesses should be dealing with most of the inflation, not the consumer. How is a To Go All Star meal almost $20 now? Never going back. read more

This was my first time ever eating at a Waffle House Restaurant and I was not disappointed. The waffle was so fluffy and felt like it melted in my mouth. Late night eats after a night out in Charlotte. Food was ok. Service was ok - imagine being in a restaurant with folks under 30 as your staff (besides the cook). Lots of playing, laughing and jacked up orders. Dirty cups! I had to ask that my drink be put in a to go cup because there was some caked on residue on mine. Okay, it's been a decade since I've last eaten at Waffle House but I can honestly say that I left happy and stuffed. Waffle House is what it is...it's nothing fancy or pretentious and it will never win any culinary awards or be featured as one of the of the Top 10 Restaurants....but it's perfectly suited for what it is, and I totally embrace and appreciate that! At its core you can always expect fast friendly service, outgoing wait staff and exceptional speed from the line cooks...all at a reasonable price. Today on our way back to NY we introduced our Son to this very Southern institution. Not only did my wife and I have all kinds of flash backs to her VA life and my FL life, but my Son totally enjoyed everything. It's been a super long time since I have been to a Waffle House. This was convenient to our hotel and we got in late so this was an easy stop. I got the double hash browns all the way minus mushrooms. I like mushrooms, just not on my hash browns. Funny story though, we are visiting from New Jersey but hail from the south. We sat eating when a couple country boys and their wives came in. On put David Allen Coe on the radio and the whole house (including us) broke out in sing! My wife said, "We're back in the south!" so I've been a fan of waffle house for going on 30 years because, well, you know... waffles. locally grown, socially distant, masked and glovely domestic style waffles! when it's way too early (or late) for any sort of interestingness how about getting something waffley and maybe some stuff that plates well with waffles? yes! waffles!! finished up for the day a little after 6:00am and had about an hour of dead air before a doctoring appointment. just enough time for waffles!! pull up at WH with the sun nearly on the rise and just a few people inside, find a seat at the counter and get hot coffee, icy water, and a clean menu... briefly considered getting way too many taters with too much stuff on 'em but stuck with the perennial favorite All Star Breakfast Special plus sausages and hash browns and more coffee please. one of the best-er things about WH is the cook is RIGHT THERE making food literally right in front of you/me! that's so cool and way more satisfying than me watching ME make me breakfast plus the servers help with the waffles which is kinda nice and helps it all run smooooth... way smooooth :-) waffle is large for its size but not crazy-thick like before the turn of the century; light and fluffy until awash with oleo and syrupy goodness. yummm! cook did a nice job with two eggs up, set whites and liquid centers! hash browns was crispy brown on the outside soft and white in the middle, and my toast simple and white... splash some hot sauce all around and then eat like you mean it. read more

What can you say about Waffle House other than it's an American staple and the one located off Hwy 150 at the interstate is no different. Breakfast is fast, hot, tasty and traditional. And so is the conversation if you end up standing in line for a table. Coffee comes fast and frequent and the pancakes and waffles are worth the wait. Website says "soft music, table linens, candles"etc. Well, even though this location says they are participating we arrived and were told they aren't doing anything because of Covid. I can always expect a cheery attitude from the helpful and personable staff as they go about their nightly tasks preparing delicious waffles and breakfast foods for the clamoring masses. Love their waffles! I have been here about three times and got the all star special. Its a BIG meal which includes waffle,toast,ham or bacon, eggs, grits or hash. Very quick service. Food is good. We saw a sign that had $5 meals but waitress didn't give us a menu for that. The menu I got was very simple and I wished there was more to choose from. read more

My wife and I had breakfast here 3/14/17 and we had the worst service we have had dinning out in a long time. They were not that busy and our server, an older thin black woman took several minutes to show up at our table. The minute she walked up you could tell she had a very bad attitude like she was pissed off she had to be working that day. Placed our silverware on the table and did not even speak to us until she pulled out her pad and pen ask us if we were ready to order. When our food arrive she just dropped the plates on the table and walked away without saying a word. Passed by the table once to refill my coffee and again said nothing, all the while we hear other servers taking care of their customers and being very friendly and attentive. When I returned from the restroom, I notice our plates were gone and I asked my wife if she said anything when she picked up the plates and she said no, she just picked up the plates, dropped the check on the table and walked away without saying a word. I don't know who peed in her Corn Flakes that morning, but it wasn't us and we did not deserve to be treated that way. Needless to say no tip was left and we will never eat at this Waffle House again. My wife and I are so sick and tired of sorry service and wasting our hard earned money to be treated this way. Plus Waffle House prices have risen to a point that its not the bargain it used to be, especially with the beyond sorry service. We used to love to eat out but with experiences like this we are not eating out no where near as much as we used to. read more
