Now I have taken my car to the dealership all it's known life. Yes, I am one of those girls and I am not ashamed of it. However, not having a BMW dealership anywhere even close to Kirksville, I had to start seeking solutions elsewhere. I brought my car in here and they were the nicest people in the world. They popped my hood, checked my coolant, quickly checked for a leak, then filled me back up with coolant, gave me some extra in case there was a leak, and taught me how to check and refill the fluid. Best part, they only charged me $10 for the privilege of all this, and were incredibly nice to me the entire time. If ever something goes wrong with my car again in Kirksville, this is the first place I will go. Granted, there's not a ton of other choices in these parts, but these guys are seriously great.

Turns out all I needed was a coil pack, spark plug, and some O2 sensors in the end. Claude took the time to diagnose the issues correctly, finding the real cause of the problems instead of jumping to conclusions. And when even replaced a faulty oxygen sensor free of charge when a new one wasn't working right. The van now drives great, no check engine lights. The routine transmission maintenance was not preformed on the car when it was being serviced at this business. Then the transmission went out of the car. To get the transmission fixed the car has been at the dealership for 6 weeks and they still don't have the car back. The dealership has had nothing but excuses for my parents, they didn't even supply them with a loaner vehicle to drive. There has been nothing offered to offset the inconvenience of this issue. Talking to other people it sounds like this is becoming a major complaint with many, many people. If I could give them a negative review I would!

Harrelson's has been a life saver! They are now a full service auto repair shop, oh and they work…read moreon foreign cars. They have been so helpful and honest with all of the problems that we had with our '91 Honda Accord. They have always been able to figure out the root cause of the problem, and fix it quickly and cheaply. They do tend to forget to call you back once they are done with the repair so it is good to call and check in on the repair status. When another mechanic said that a repair would be at least $700 to fix the lock on the drivers side door, and that they would need to get a whole new door that would not match our car. Harrelson's was able to fix everything for around $300, while keeping our existing door. At another point my wife and I broke down in Kansas City due to a clutch problem and the repair shop there did over $350 trying to fix the problem (replace the clutch master cylinder and slave). All of this work ended up not fixing the problem so we had Harrelson's look at it, only to find that the problem was just a leaky hose, that cost a grand total of $50 to fix. I can not speak highly enough of these guys, A++ repair shop!
