Super cheap and yummy Mexican, sadly, only average service. The hubby and I shared chips & salsa, chicken tinga and pork pibil. We both loved the kick in the chicken tinga...as well as the extra kick provided from the fiery sauces on the table. My pure classic margarita was delicious but a bit on the small size. If you're gonna put a ton of ice cubes in my alcoholic bevvy, at least fill it completely to the top of the tiny glass! We visited Wahaca on an early Sunday afternoon...a time in which it seemed that 50% of the tables had young children eating. Not sure what this place is like in the evenings, but steer clear on Saturday/Sundays lunches if you can't handle a "yelping" child or two. :)

If you ask me, I am not a massive mMexican fan and I would never have walked into this restaurant. Luckily I was invited and I ate here. To my surprise this place is actually really tasty and priced very reasonably. there is a huge selection of street food as well as the normal main courses including tacos burritos fish chicken beef...you name it. They also do special drinks and virgin cocktails which were all very tasty. We ordered so much (almost one of each)I cannot possibly remember which dish is which. This place is very good for groups if you like sharing or if you want to try lots of dishes.

I'm really, really REALLY impressed with Wahaca's new 09/10 "cold months" menu. In particular, I love the smoked herring tostadas and the Baja California fish tacos. I also love the fact that they serve (and as far as I know are the only restaurant that serves) horchata. YUMMY! It's an attractive space too (much like their Covent Garden restaurant) and appears to be the most popular eatery at Westfield ... but don't let the long queues put you off. They tend to move along at a steady pace and even if you have to wait a little while, it's well worth it. Good, hearty, feel good Mexican food. Awesome.

I ordered the Beef Burrito and was disappointed with the actual amount of beef in it. Just a few strips and the rest was filling (rice, beans, cabbage, green rice, etc.). The ambiance was nice, but not Mexican at all. The music selection was mostly Salsa and Cumbia. Not very Mexican. To me, this was more of a Tex-Mex restaurant, but the flavor was not what you'd find in Texas or Mexico. There are other dishes on the menu that sound appetizing but I'm not sure I'd return to try them. Then again, the restaurant was pretty packed so they must be doing something right.

Good tacos with a nice atmosphere and decent margaritas…read more Came here with friends from work for a fast bite near our Brock-street office. We shared a big plate of taco ingredients and tortillas. It was all very good and the good news is that with the variety there was something everyone liked. The space was chill and upscale while also feeling trendy. The drinks were also nice, mostly margaritas. In the end, nothing really stood out enough for me to remember or come back for if I wasn't in the area, but it would probably make my easy list of places that won't disappoint near the office.

Unfortunately, Mestizo charges per person and the minimum and maximum is two for this item So I couldn't order for one without paying forty dollars , and I'd be damned to pay that much. Having this rule is ridiculous. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant forcing you to order something that can easily be portioned to one. I ordered a marinated chicken with rice and beans. The beans were out of this world. Such a unique flavor I definitely was not accustomed to in the states. The rice was unfortunately bland. The chicken was marinated in this red sauce and was tasty for the most part. However , when I made my way to the center it became dry and had a weird taste. If you're gonna order this dish, proceed with caution. The dessert really outshined and redeemed my visit somewhat. I ordered the tres leches cake. This dessert is basically like a Mexican version of sticky toffee pudding. There are many overlapping factors. One key difference is tres leches uses a milk and cinnamon base , so it kind of tastes like a horchata cake.
