It's a picturesque little wharf that welcomes you into Wine Island. There's a car park here, but they charge to let you park here. If you walk a ways down the street, there's a free lot. The public bus runs out here, as do taxicabs, but the walk is recommended upon arrival. On the walk back from the vineyards, I advise you to take the bus for just over a dollar, it's totally worth it. It's about a 10 minute walk into town. I wish there were stalls selling stuff like snacks and more wine. That'd have been helpful. And why can't they build the wharf further inland? J/k...

I emailed the company at "booking.atstaxi@gmail.com" and booked our transportation within 10 minutes. I was shocked at how quickly the responses and confirmation was for our transportation. Honestly, I read on TripAdvisor that the others had negative experiences with drivers not showing up so I had Uber as a back up plan. Thankfully we had a driver that showed up and was on time. The fare was cheaper than Uber and much cheaper than the other taxi services in Auckland going to the airport. We paid a flat fee of $39. The driver was friendly and helped us with our bags. Overall, I would use this company again.

The wine tasting at the island are fun but a lot of walking. If you tell customers 5:54 then make it 5:54. We got to our bus stop at 5:50. We waited till 6:35. That's beyond unacceptable. I'm not sure what you have to work with outside these explorer buses but don't trust the times AT ALL. Extremely unprofessional company.

As a commuter, Explore boats are newer and cleaner, the staff genuinely friendly, and there is far better food and drinks selection on board - almond croissant on the way to work anybody? (Don't, it gets addictive). The journey feels far more relaxing. We're yet to see how the smaller boats deal with rough winter seas, but right now it adds a perfect option if you want to catch a ferry approximately half hour out from the Fullers boats. Tip: check out the upstairs indoor cabin- those seats are made for giants.

When at the airport, you can purchase tickets by: you can use a NZ card (I'm assuming) at the iSite location, as long as no signature is needed (would not allow me to use my USA debit card). Or you can go outside and before the queue the ticket booth is attached. Easy transaction and the operator ensured I knew where I was going and gave me a map. On board has decent WiFi and comfortable seats. One issue I had, and it's for all of NZ transit, is that they don't announce stops. So I'd recommend talking with the bus driver or familiarizing yourself with the city location so you know when to press "stop" to request getting off the bus. I download maps and save for offline usage and pin point the stop I wanted so I could ensure I didn't miss it. Did not see anyone purchase on board, not sure how it works. I recommend getting tickets for the operator booth and getting a return ticket to save yourself the hassle of having to pay on board (remember, NZ is big on card usage, so it's okay to carry minimal cash for safety).

I catch this bus when I have time because believe it or not the bus service can actually delay you. Those damned traffic lights that always favour the passengers cause the bus to travel slow. But if you have time and aren't in a hurry then take the bus. It travels from Britomart up Queen Street to Kroad then another travels from Wynard Quarter to Britomart up Queen Street to K Road.

We sat on the upper floor and it was very neat and clean. Seating was tables and we had nice views out the window. The ride was smooth. Staff was friendly. The shuttle arrived right on time to pick us up as well. The return trip was on a bigger boat. Again everything was clean inside with some comfy couches to lounge on after a day of hiking.

Firstly everything is pretty much always closed. Like even in normal business hours, it is dead. Secondly, even if it was open, they have the weirdest selection of stores. I can't even pinpoint what most of the stores are because they're so mediocre, and they change all the time. It's just like no one really cares about it, but they should. It could be awesome. They could have a cool restaurant, cafes, bars. Or just knock it down, lay down some astroturf and have a mini-golf. Hey, but walk out of the wharf and you're in beautiful Devonport. My advice? Skip the inside and walk down the side.

I.e The faults which other reviewers have listed already; the facade of the building actually has a quaint charm that gels with the rest of Devonport itself. A rustic sort of understated calm that may hear the taunts you throw at it but won't react at all. It fits in this setting is what I'm trying to say. Just like the Central city Ferry Terminal fits the sort of lifestyle encapsulated by 'big city life', this building has a vibe all it's own. And who could give a place such a bad review when just outside it has a patch of perfect golden sand where you can catch the most amazing views of Auckland City. Take some fish n chips along with you, you won't find a better spot.

The tour includes driving you around Waiheke and tastings at 3 wineries. They will pick you up from…read morethe ferry or downtown. Julie was a lovely guide and bus driver. They have pre-booked tastings at the wineries and thus you get a tour of the vineyard and some information about the history, etc. Our tour had 10 people on it. My only critiques are that they don't give you that many tastings at the wineries (3-4) and they don't allow substitutions if you don't like whites or reds. Also they give you an extra 30-45 minutes at each winery after the tasting has ended, which was perhaps a bit too much time. I figured out you could take a public bus from the ferry terminal that will drop you off right in front of many of the wineries, so not sure its fully worth the money (though this tour does take you to ones that are not available by public bus). You do get better value for money with this tour though compared to many other tours we looked at.
