You book through an app for available appointment times with specific barbers or whoever is available the day you are looking at. I booked my haircut with Kikowa at 9AM. This was my first time cutting my hair at this Barbershop, located on the second level of where Aiea Bowl is. The barbershop is clean and small there was about 6 chairs, but all chairs were occupied that morning. Kikowa was very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. My haircut took an hour as, I was going for a new look. I showed Kikowa a refence picture of what I wanted. He asked me a lot of questions, even though I didn't understand some her made sure to explain it to me. I told him what I wanted to keep, and what I wanted to achieve. I also added an eyebrow trim with my haircut for $7 more. He took his time cutting my hair. Kikowa was also super chill, easy to talk to. When he was done there were somethings I wanted to cut down more on my sides and he had no problem fixing it up for me. At the end of the haircut, he also explains what was done with my hair and even explains what type of haircut I got. I ended up getting a Burst Fade. I enjoyed my experience here and the chair was super comfortable. My eyebrows also came out nice and not too thin. Overall great experience definitely coming back here again.

Unfortunately, the scheduling and time management have been consistently disappointing and have only gotten worse. The biggest issue is that appointments seem to mean absolutely nothing. On several occasions, I arrived on time for appointments that I had booked in advance, only to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to well over an hour before being seen. Most customers understand that delays can happen from time to time, but when it becomes a recurring issue, it shows a complete lack of respect for people's time. The final straw was my most recent appointment. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment with Ricky, arrived on time, and waited 40-45 minutes. He never showed up, and nobody seemed to have an explanation or solution. There was no phone call, no text, no advance notice, and no effort to make things right. After sitting there waiting, I eventually decided to leave. What makes this even more frustrating is the hypocrisy. This shop has no problem enforcing late fees and cancellation policies for customers, yet customers are expected to accept being kept waiting for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or even over an hour for scheduled appointments. What a joke Also while I'm here might as well just say it, there seems to be an ego problem with some of the barbers, as if showing up late and keeping clients waiting is acceptable because they're busy. Some of the barbers here could use a reality check. You're providing a service, not saving lives. At the end of the day, this is a service business. Professionalism, punctuality, and respect for customers should be the bare minimum. I've spent a lot of money supporting this business over the last year, and this is how loyal customers are treated. After multiple experiences like this, I can no longer justify spending my time here. There are plenty of great barbershops out there that actually respect their customers' time. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.
