Waipu Caves are great for those who love going on adventures and exploring. Not only are there caves to explore, but there are plenty of other tracks around here to check out as well, where you can see limestone rock formations aplenty. The drive to reach this place is quite far, and it's on a gravel road too.
The caves themselves are pretty cool, especially if you love geology and cave formations are the like. But if you don't care about all that nerdy crap, it's still cool because there are glow worms in here. Everyone loves glow worms. Don't forget to bring a torch, otherwise you won't be able to go much further past the main entrance. Also its damp in here, and especially when it's been raining it gets quite muddy so be careful and maybe bring some hiking shoes. read more
