They do have plus points over Tesco though: 1. Parking. I prefer the parking here to Tesco in Chineham. You can park near the front of the store which is useful when you have a trolley load! 2. The salad bar.yummy! 3. The hot food counter.also yummy! 4. The cafe/restaurant. Great for a cuppa and they do a really reasonably priced breakfast. If you're a Tesco shopper and you fancy a change, I'd recommend you give Morrisons a try. PS. I do agree with the comment about fruit and veg though, it tends to have a very short shelf life.

There is also a petrol station located near the exit of the store, which is useful if you have driven to the supermarket and require it. The staff are reasonably pleasant on most occasions.

You'll find reduced price bargains (meat and bakery) if you pop in just before closing on weekdays. They also have 'green' checkouts for customers who don't require plastic bags - cardboard boxes are usually available from behind the checkouts. There is free parking but this does get chocker with 44s, especially at weekends. Unless you have a disability, I recommend parking at the end of the car park. You'll reduce the risk of a BMW X5 reversing into you and you'll have a less stressful shopping experience. Because it's a smallish shop, you'll usually see the bright and breezy manager or deputy manager walking the floor - extremely unusual in today's supermarkets.

Just like the other Tesco I shopped last month, this store is massively huge with a major selection of produce (two aisles!), cheese, meats, and then dry goods. I'm almost glad I don't have a car, because my carrying capacity limited my spending budget here. The store also has a little snack restaurant, though I thought it had a pretty good selection for a cafeteria style deal. Great hours, it's open from Monday at 06:00 until Saturday at 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. (Aside from the bus issue.) There's a petrol station in the parking area and a "freephone" near the tills for calling a taxi.

The bakery had these awesome rose geranium/cherry flavored cupcakes. We frequently purchased a Waitrose brand treacle tart with some clotted cream to go with. The Rachels organic yogurt in Ginger was amazing. And don't get me started on the premade Indian food. To be honest, we went to 2 indian restaurants in Wokingham and the ready made meals at Waitrose tasted more like authentic Indian food than either of the restaurants we tried. You can also go and have tea or cakes in the area next to the bakery. Lots of stay at home mums with squirmy children but the cream tea was nice and under 4 pounds.
