There was an old woman in the billing section,she took so much care in packaging the items we bought, especially the doll.. I appreciate her talent and the care she took on delivering the purchased items with all necessary stuff,which could have been neglected by someone else thinking it as unnecessary. This one act of hers made my souvenir even more special ,as it is now more like a gift from her. This place has beautiful hand made paintings, Christmas crib in Alaskan theme , other cool Alaskan stuff and regular souvenirs as in other shops. It's not a large shop, but there were still some nice items, even though some of the other stuff (birch and blueberry syrup, fireweed honey, teas) you can find at other shops as well. Still, there were a lot of unique gifts. It's worth a step in, even to just say hi or find something that catches your eye.

I have extremely sensitive, dry skin prone to allergic reactions, bumps, and a number of other issues. Silverbear Manly Soaps has fixed most of the problems with my skin on almost all of my body, and it smells amazing, and when bought in bulk, it's a dollar cheaper to what I had been using previously, so I'm a convert! Earlier, on a hike at Byers Lake, the guide talked about Devil's Club being used medicinally for things like mosquito bites. I asked around and some locals said that Silverbear Sundries is the place to get Devil's Club balm. Not in Talkeetna? They mail it to you! I got the Mountain Mamma Balm that does NOT have hemp in it and smells great. There are two Pokemon Go pokestops within reach of this store, so stay a while. There are two gyms around the corner, too.
