This cafe is along the Genuss zu Fuss (a 7 km nature/culinary hiking trail) and Eifel Krimi (local crime trail) and near to an 11th Century castle in the quaint (sleepy) German town of Kerpen. The Reibekuchen is also worth trying - it's nothing like you find at street stalls. Also freshly prepared, the flavour is amazing and not dripping with oil (again, not your usual Christmas-market fare!). It was a pleasant surprise to find it comes with some salad and salmon - yum! The location is great and staff very friendly. Definitely sit outside in the square if the sun is shining.
