We absolutely loved it here, personally I think it was the best hotel that we just happened upon. Everything was extremely nice and pleasant, very romantic. The room was excellent and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The wellness spa is exceptional and very clean with the most amazing quiet/multi use room. I would love to make this hotel an annual tradition. Everything exceeded our expectations.

A Very pleasant stay…read more This hotel seems to cater to mostly business travelers however my family is staying here for our holiday to the Black Forest. The rooms are clean and updated. Remember to bring a small bottle of shampoo (a non issue since we brought a travel bottle for the kids) but it could catch some by surprise. They leave a bottle of water to use (for free) each day. The breakfast is 8.90 euro for adults and 4.75 for children. I must say it was well worth it. They really went out of their way to feed my picky eating children. There is beer on tap (for a nominal fee) for the dads and moms after a busy day out. Wifi is free (slow at times I am guessing on usage). Parking is free an available even when we came back late at nights several times. There is a supermarket a short walk away to pickup an inexpensive meal or snacks for those middle of the night jet lag moments. The hotel also has a green offset for those people who might require it before their bedding locations. There seems to be an detached second building catering to long term stay business people. I have no idea what rooms are like in that building.

Mrs. Steinert seems to run the place during the weekdays whilst at weekends she takes care of her grandchildren leaving the heavy work to her son. They have obviously learnt what they are doing and take great care on a familier basis over their hotel and restaurant customers. Not really a place to visit if you don't like steps, there is no lift, and I personaly have a problem with sloping roofs in the rooms on the third floor. The breakfast was what one might call adequate but only local produce and very tasty. A very good local and not pricey wine list, visited by locals who justv want a bite, and others that require full culinary and local cuisine services. It is the sort of place to just feel easy and always return to.
