I'm sure like most businesses now this Walgreens is understaffed. The employees were kind enough. But I just couldn't find a way to get a walk-in flu shot without waiting endlessly in line. The pharmacy is all the way in the back corner, cramped and weirdly placed. A man working there tells me to go wait at a tiny window around the corner, not the pharmacy, where they will take flu shot walk-ins. I'm then stuck in line for a long time only to hear the woman up front tell another customer they don't do walk-ins, only appointments. I'm not really sure why places like Walgreens stick their biggest business in the back and make it so hard to use. I suppose they need you to walk by aisles of dandruff shampoo and Epsom salts first to make a few extra bucks. read more

This is for the pharmacy only: Alexandra has absolutely no customer service skills and her attitude screams "I HATE MY JOB LEAVE ME ALONE". Her monotone voice, complete disregard of your time and laziness is extra evident when she takes 10 minutes with each customer and that's with them already having a prescription. I had only one person in front of me and I was there for 30 minutes. She also didn't even tell a man to wait while she did something she just had him waiting and ignored him until she was done and said how can I help you. The rep Rene at this location deserves some recognition. This gentleman was kind, friendly, and very patient with me. I came to get my passport photo taken. Knowing how I'm never satisfied with a picture, I was not a fan of most of the pictures taken. In this case, Rene was so patient with me in taking multiple pictures to see which one was the best for me. He's experienced as he knew how the pictures needed to be so that it does not get rejected from the renewal center. He is a friendly guy with great patience. This is a busy pharmacy - a *very* busy pharmacy, with lots of older customers. Honestly I think the staff would be more efficient if they spent less time gossiping and more time working, but to their credit they do go out of their way to address medication costs with every patient. That being said, don't expect stellar customer service. Everyone in there looks gives off vibes that they hate you and possibly themselves. As for the rest of the store, it's less well-stocked than other Walgreens I've been to but isn't terrible. The associates are friendly and helpful. Besides the treacherous parking lot (thanks Trader Joe's), this store has zero respect for the customer's time. I'm not expecting an amazing experience at a chain drugstore, but I do expect some effort. Update: I started this draft the last time I came here and I was dumb enough to try it again. I'm sitting in the drive thru now, with six cars behind me, one of them laying on the horn. It's been 29 minutes and counting. As if pharmacies aren't depressing enough, now I'm trapped in line while watching the cashier dolefully type into her computer. I've wasted 1/2 gallon of gas and two hours of work. As I walked in I already knew that the service wasn't going to be the best due to how they were standing. They told me to go to photos to do what I was here for, mind you no help, no one asking "do you need help?" Then I manage to figure it out and they tell me when it's going to be ready, so I go out to come back when it will. When I come back, the white woman working there who just showed up by the way after hours of it being empty says "we're just now processing it" and so I have to wait another hour (although I have things to do) for them to finish doing it. Excuses, excuses, excuses! Walgreens Pharmacy notorious for EXCUSES. D0 NOT ORDER PRESCRIPTIONS FROM WALGREEN. After ordering a 90 day prescription last Friday March 16 and being told it be ready after 2pm Monday March 19. My wife gets a call Monday afternoon confiming prescription is ready for pick up. She goes by Tuesday morning at 10am to be told they "had to order them, come back tomorrow" she told them when i placed the order and I was told it would be ready Monday after 2pm. The cashiers are very poor and the manager as well. Cannot remember to do what the customer asks, for example with the reward. The manager was too lazy to reprocess the order so I could get my reward and not next time. This is the manager and really couldn't care less. Why bother taking a survey when nothing will change? This is for the pharmacy. I have been picking up prescriptions from this Walgreens for the last 2-3 years. I don't know why I keep subjecting myself to this experience, because it is almost always guaranteed to be miserable. I went to pick up a prescription today, and there was only one person in line. This is quite rare, as this pharmacy is actually pretty busy and there is often a long line. I thought I would get in and out pretty quick. Well... I waited in line for 20(!!!) minutes, and not a single person acknowledged me. I became visibly frustrated and someone finally said something. By this point, a line was forming behind me. The pharmacist who gave me my prescription me seemed like a pretty unfriendly person, as she did not smile, did not apologize to me for my unreasonably long wait. If you need a place to pick up prescriptions, don't make the same mistake I have. Go somewhere else, especially if you're the type of person who has places to be (i.e. you're not retired). This place has a consistently miserable attitude, there is no sense of urgency, and everyone moves at a snail's place. I'll be switching pharmacies to pick up my regular prescription. read more

I came to get a prescription filled because it's close to my office. I was asked to come back at 1:00 pm so I took my lunch to come pick it up and they tell me no pharmacist is on staff they're at lunch and can't give me my prescription with out his approval and I'd have to come back at 2:00 pm. Two rude "boys" trying to assist me when I was asking for help. Came here to get my cheaper alternative version of getting a passport photo taken for my license. I asked for the wallet photo since I only needed 1 and for a dollar, you get 4. I was trying to tell them that getting a wallet photo taken and getting it cut to a passport photo as close as possible. It didn't need to be exact, the photo was only needed for license application, but I don't think they understood. One of the guys laughed and the other was even more rude, NO GREETING, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills whatsoever. And the worst part of it all, literally a minute after I left to complain to a manager or HR, one of the guys was the manager and I was in shock. No wonder their associates lack customer service skills, their management does too. Don't ever come here, or at least not in the photo department. My beef is with the check-out line structure. I hate when you have to get in one line for like 12 cash registers, only 2 of which are operational. You stand in a line, which seems longer than it really is because you are waiting in 2 lines. Not only do you stand in this single line, you can't go brain dead!!! You have to pay attention to the next register which might yell out "Next Gust Please" - and if you delay like a single second, the guy behind you will tap on your shoulder and point you in the direction of the cashier. (Please hold while I end my day dream and get to the register) Walgreens and CVS are notorious for their "creative" check-out line tactics. Take a lesson from other super markets and do it the legit way. Really, it doesn't need to be this complicated to wait in line.
