The pharmacy releases a large amount of controlled substances to college kids resulting in not enough meds for regular customers. Four times I've had to scurry to search for this medication. Pharmacies aren't too welcoming to someone seeking a controlled substance. It is embarrassing and frustrating to ask and I have not had much success. It has been 14 days and my presecription is still not filled and there is no date in sight it will be filled. I just transferred all my prescriptions to a different company. By the way Andrew the pharmacist (who was excellent) has not been at this store for a couple of years. read more

Nice Walgreens. Across the street from a lot of boutiques and eateries, as well as Coolidge Park and Walnut St Bridge with limited parking so folks come park here. Don't. You WILL be towed. The pharmacy is very good and friendly for a pharmacy. I've never had any issues there. The checkout is as slow as every other Walgreens in America, but what can you do? You're stuck behind old people who are sorting through a coupon book no matter when you go and that's not really Walgreens fault. The staff are friendly here, but I have only encountered 1 team member of management, that was sincere and/or helpful in many years. This store is always heavily stocked with seasonal candies and accents. They have a clear price tagging system that can help you earn points or find clearance items fast. The toys are restocked regularly and this location also has a cosmetics guru in a suit that helped me find the correct lotion. My review is based on bad management and very low staff numbers at all times. You can't expect one employee to stock, clean, and run the registers whilst keeping customers happy with fast friendly service. The floor staff do seem to want to give individual attention to everyone and usually greet you on your way in and out.Pharmacy is quaint. They provide many pharmaceutical needs and advice. This location offers many cosmetics and nutrition supplements. The 3 Star rating is based on bad management and how they treat me on phone calls. Repeatedly not listening and putting me on hold and then coming on the phone with the answer to a question I didn't ask, listen managers. It is located near two beautiful bridges and a Publix grocery store. There is also a thriving local scene (the north shore) located justin front where you can get hand made food and art. Terrible experience every time I'm forced to come here by my normal pharmacy being closed. Slow service that is distinctly unfriendly. They go out of their way to ask invasive questions that are unnecessary at the pharmacy whether you are filling a prescription or attempting to get otc cold and flu meds. read more

I live in Newark Valley, N.Y. My Dr. sent in a script to Walgreens here in NV. I sat almost an hour last evening waiting for the script to come . I have an UTI and desperately need the prescription to be filled. I called about 1:30 this afternoon to see if the script had been filled so that I could pick it up. The Dr's office just called me and they will try it again. It now seems that it would not go thru because it was listed as a Rite- Aid pharmacy. I would think that it would be automatically be transferred. I am tempted to go the CVS in Owego, which is 10 miles from here. I will give them another chance. Every time I use the pharmacy here the Pharmacist goes out of his way to be difficult. He is rude to me and even ruder to his coworkers. I don't know how or why Walgreen's continues to employ him. I've been using this N Market St location for several years now. A transfer from my Hixson location (since they opened). Admitting I was a bit nervous at first due to my pharmacutical needs. Andrew and his staff were then and still today Totally Awesome. I've watched their pharmacy customer base triple at best. They all Know and Help me. Treating each customer with personalble attention. The store is always clean, stocked well. Whomever you see on the floor is always helpful if needed. I'm greeted kindly upon entering with any employee. Willing to help without my asking. I do agree with a few previously posted complaints about "The Bad Apple" employee. He's either working in photo area or front register. I've voiced my opinion and avoid interaction with him, honestly. At the bottom of your receipt the number to call is the way to handle "him". I've not overheard him be courteous to Anyone, ever. A "strictly business" attitude. Not offering to help. I think he's just in the wrong line of work (public relations). Don't let him give this Store as a whole a bad wrap. This is a very good Walgreens. Hopefully, the readers can "overlook" as I have learned to do as a regular customer. Be Happy and Healthy. read more

If you require a decongestant containing pseudoephedrine for that awful allergy-induced sinus pressure, don't bother coming here. I stopped in after work today to purchase some Mucinex-D for my husband who had stayed home from work with a sore throat and severe sinus pressure. The pharmacist first asked a series of intrusive questions about my symptoms, and I mentioned that the medication was for my husband. He then refused to sell the medication to me stating that my husband would have to come in himself to buy it. He then attempted to recommend several unhelpful options. My husband had already tried phenylephrine as well as an antihistamine with no relief. As a nurse, I'm aware that a product containing pseudoephedrine is generally the best option for that "my head is going to explode from sinus pressure" feeling. That's fine, I get that Tennessee has a meth problem, and he was trying to do his little part to attempt to prevent that. What I did not appreciate was the scene that was caused at the cash register in front of other customers. The pharmacist made me feel like a criminal and embarrassed me when he could have calmly explained his personal (not company or state or federal) policy for refusing to sell medication to me. That was within his rights as a pharmacist, and I respect that. He just reinforced thoughts that I have had when I have picked up prescriptions at this pharmacy. Customers are a nuisance. Customer service and respect for patient privacy are not priorities at this store. I will no longer be filling any prescriptions or purchasing anything here. read more
