This business is so tiny... I live around the corner, but didn't know it was here for almost a decade! It says Walgreens, on the sign outside, but it is actually only a pharmacy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They greet you as soon as you step up to the register. There is almost never align. Even when there is, it's only one person. You can use the Walgreens app to order your prescriptions. They app, or the staff via telephone, will tell you when your prescription is ready. I moved from FL where I used a Walgreens Specislty Pharmacy that was a 5+ star facility. Came to Mass out along 495 and wanted a comparable store. All is/was good except for being able to reach them by phone. Excessive long holds "assisting" other callers. More likely put the phone on hold as they either are out to lunch or no staff to assist. No option to leave a messsge or receive a callback. Finally decided to leave them and go to the pharmacy affiliated with my doctor's facility, also in Boston. Provides free delivery of prescriptions so I don't have to drive into the city. Finally gave up on Walgreens. read more

I have been using this Pharmacy for 20 years . When I started with them they were efficient and and caring . Today I spent over 20 minutes on hold listening to the most obnoxious music you can imagine and still no one came to the phone . I have my medicines delivered and yet there online apps and AI prescription refill service does not provide an opportunity for me to be able to say that I need this delivered . It insists that I come in and pick things up . I live on the North Shore while the pharmacy is in Boston . I cannot go in and pick my prescriptions up . They used to call when it was time to refill my prescriptions now I have to call them for each individual refill, have the specific prescription number , and give them a credit card instead of my insurance card . I have tried since April of 2023 to obtain a respiratory medicine from my local CVS. CVS would promise that they ordered the medicine but the "warehouse" would never send it to them. I relayed my frustration to my Pulmonary doctor and he told me about Community Pharmacy. Community pharmacy was able to not only obtain this particular medication, fill my prescription and deliver it to my house by the next day. I don't even live in Boston, yet they were able to provide extremely fast delivery. I will forever praise Community Pharmacy in Boston. read more

What can I say? Exceptional service. Post transplant they assisted me with the piles of pills I would be living on. Since then they have also shipped me meds I was unable to get locally (I live 3 hours away). Pharmacists seem very knowledgeable about Med interactions. read more

This is a tiny pharmacy tucked into an alley in the South End. It's part of the Walgreens chain, but unlike other locations, this place does prescriptions only, and doesn't sell chips/phone cards/shampoo/whatever else. It seems that they take the "Community" name pretty seriously. They have services to help people out who might have trouble taking their meds, or staying safe in general. There are free sharps disposal containers available, and a dropoff spot for filled ones. Also, I saw on the counter that for people taking multiple medications, the pharmacy can put pills into a blister pack book, so each day has the proper number of each pill divided up into separate compartments for morning/noon/evening/bedtime. There were free condoms (both male and female) and lube samples, various local periodicals, and lots of literature on living with HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ health in general, in English and Spanish. The huge upside to getting prescriptions filled here is the outstanding customer service. The pharmacy tech and then the pharmacist worked with me to get me the cheapest possible price for my prescription, going through several layers of discounts and checking insurance coverage for different quantities, etc. They were super helpful and accommodating, and willing to look up different options that I suggested. I'll get a text message when my prescription is ready to be picked up. I don't care if I can buy Cheez-Whiz at the same time as getting my prescriptions filled, but I do care that the staff here at Community Pharmacy are exceptionally competent and kind, and provide a high level of service to the community. read more

This is just a pharmacy, not a full Walgreens, but they do participate in Walgreens rewards and other programs. They have more limited hours than a full Walgreens. But, they are fantastic for repeat customers. I have less common prescriptions and a busy schedule, and they always preemptively take care of things. They are incredibly helpful when brain fog, insurance pre-approvals and other day to day challenges of living with chronic illness come up. I initially picked them because they were near my work, but even though I work out of a different office location, I keep coming back because they know me, anticipate my needs, and have been generally sensitive to me as someone with "invisible" illnesses read more

Don't even deserve the 1 star but that's the only way I can add a review! The pharmacy has unprofessional disrespectful staff the one in particular "Liz". I called to confirm delivery a couple days ago only to get home yesterday to find medication had not been delivered. Called to get a status because it was after 4:30p and knew they closed for the weekend. (The one location that carries the anti-rejection meds needed; that right there is a problem). Liz goes on to tell me she called a couple times because she didn't confirm payment type. If I confirmed delivery do you really think there's more discussion that's needs to happen. CHARGE THE CARD!! It's not a pair of shoes, it's medication needed to keep an organ functioning. She gives me some nonsense about the medication being delivered the next day (they'll be closed may I mind you) if it not that evening. Right there she couldn't even confirm the medication were out to be delivered. I asked her what happens if the medication does not get delivered, they'll be closed! She says I can call the after hours. I remind her that I need to know what happens if the medication doesn't get delivered. She's says "I don't know you'll have to call your doctor". at this point I was pissed and ended the call. She calls back to inform that they will be having the medication delivered by courier. It is now Saturday 8:59am and the courier did not show up last night. The after hours informed that all other Walgreens pharmacy would be able to give us a generic (can't take the generic) so the only option is an ER visit for the medication! I am utterly disgusted with that way they have limited patients and the unprofessionalism. read more
