During one of my visits, I became intrigued by the gel nail polish. The fact that it was quick drying, not damaging to natural nails and wasn't a fake nail that would have to be pried off if I tired of them intrigued me. But, I was skeptical. I've been known to wear off the most expensive nail polish within days if not hours. Other customers attested to the fact that the gel polish lasted over two weeks. I am now sporting my 3rd gel manicure and despite using my nails to scrape off jelly on the counter, open a wine bottle wrapper and a million other things, my polish looks as good as the day I first got it over two weeks ago. The salon owner, Linda, is as pleasant as them come. She is a good conversationalist while focusing on her services. She takes her craft seriously and learns the proper technique and doesn't shortcut on materials. The salon carries a full line of beauty products for hair and skin, small gift items and health supplements. I've not known anyone who received hair services there yet but my hunch is that with the attention to detail and level of quality I've received with my massages and nails, that all of their services are five star.

When I placed the order, however, the website will say that my order will be ready for pick up by a certain time and that I am to pay in-store. I went to the store, and was told that they never got the order. I was told that I could call to ensure that they received the order, but I figured an page saying that my order was placed, would be ready by a certain time, and a confirmation of my payment option would be enough-guess not. Although I prefer Walgreen's prints to Walmart's (Walmart's prints a tad darker), if their online ordering center isn't reliable, I won't be using them again.

After 30 minutes waiting in line, and seeing just one customer waited on, I left the store, along with 2 other people who left in discuss. I just had a molar pulled and really needed the pain relief too. Horrific service and I'll NEVER use Walgreens again, especially when there's a CVS right across the street. On the way out, I saw some cashews on sale for $2.98, I went to buy them so it wasn't a complete wasted trip, but the cashier tried to charge me $7.58!! Apparently there's a secret club and I wasn't entitled to buy anything on sale because I'm not a member. I threw the cashews down and left . I only went to this Walgreen's because the one closer to me on 16th St in Moline doesn't have a pharmacy.. Imagine that, a drug store that doesn't sell drugs!
