While other pharmacies may continue to run better vouchers, this Target Pharmacy has made me a loyal customer over the past several years. Most pharmacies are happy to hand you your prescription like a fast food worker handing over a #2 meal, but I've always been impressed with how cheerful and attentive the staff is at this Target Pharmacy. I've had questions related to prescriptions, supplements, or over-the-counter medications, and they are always fast to answer and point me out to another reliable resource if they cannot answer my question. They have demonstrated excellent customer service by telling me immediately if a prescription is not in stock, estimating accurately when it will be back in stock, and even offering to call another nearby pharmacy if it is a prescription that I need quickly. It doesn't hurt that the pharmacy is located close to "Clearance" endcaps, allowing me to browse for some marked-down "Essie" nail polish if another customer is in front of me in line. But that's just an added perk :)

When I'm out, life is miserable. When I called to inquire, (they didn't call me to let me know, ) clerk was extremely rude, & grilled me with questions about the medication and my dosage. First, if there are issues with the script, call the doctor, I have no control over that. Second, that issue had nothing to do with the fact that they forgot to order it. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up a partial, I felt physically terrible. I became tearful out of anger and frustration. The clerk I had just spoken to on the phone looked at me, laughed and rolled her eyes. I need to say that again. I was crying, she laughed and rolled her eyes. I completed my purchase and left. I was so rattled I waited three days to approach pharmacy manager to discuss calmly. This is what happened: First, she raved about the kind and loving employee. Second, she mumbled a three second apology. Third, she said there were notations in my file where in the past I had been "belligerent."This also has nothing to do with their failure to order on time. FYI the "belligerent"episode, which had occurred about a year prior, happened because the pharmacy failed again to order on time, so I would be in active withdrawal from OxyContin cold turkey for 24 to 48 hours post-surgery. I asked her if under those circumstances she might be upset. Blank stare. Finally, she says if I'm unhappy, I can go someplace else. In a way, her behavior was even more unsettling than her clerk's. She had heard about the situation before I came in so she was aware and had time to reflect. She lectured me like I was a child called into the principal's office, making it clear she did not give one flying flip about the customer. She has plenty of those and doesn't need me, this is true. But I was still hoping she would do the right thing. I was looking for "I'm sorry you had a bad experience. That was unacceptable." How did we get to this place as a culture when these people who deal everyday with folks who are seriously ill, some terminally, think it's OK to be absolutely horrible? When sometimes life is such a struggle that you become emotional, it's OK for someone to laugh at you? If you use that pharmacy you should know that if you are having a bad day, some body that could be your grandchild, without input or supervision, can mark your file with their own opinion, and that notation stays there. Then later if you ever have a problem, they'll use that and throw it in your face to avoid accountability. Sad.

I really enjoy using Mathes Pharmacy and am grateful for their friendly and on-time service…read more The great services they provide are: *they will call you at an appointed time each month to automatically refill your medications. *they will deliver partial medication refills when the doctor office doesn't respond quick enough for any remaining medications. *they will deliver by the following day, if not the same day. *they have a store of health related products across the street, while selling such items in their pharmacy store. *I'd say the turn-over rate is relatively low. I've been using Mathes for two years and many of the same employees are still there. A huge plus! *signing for delivered medications is easy and quick. *they're quick to correct any errors, without any inconvenience to the customer. *a couple of times they ran out of a particular medication, which they restocked and delivered within a couple of days. *I think their prices are very competitive, if not better, than their competitors. A couple of times I called to compare prices and Mathes was definitely lower. They also price matched in order to keep my business. I loved that! I HIGHLY recommend Mathes. They're building a new store front. The new store is located in the same location - further back in the large parking lot. It's really nice to see local businesses pour money back into their business through expansion that'll not only help themselves, but benefit the customers as well.

They switched our insurance plan, and Mathes was not listed as one of the pharmacies that we could use. We have a large family and couldn't justify paying the extra expenses to use them. So we were forced to use CVS, since that is the company that purchased my vehicle idea company. She was now an employee of the nations largest pharmacy chain. What we found was that this company was out of medications more than once. One time we had to wait a week and a half for a common medication to be refilled because they were out! 10 days without a medication, when there are numerous other pharmacies in the area owned by the same company. So fortunately CVS sold the company after a year, and we are able to go back to Mathes. As soon as my medications run out, I'll be there. Why go to Mathes? Because it's NOT a big box store pharmacy. You may not be wowed this it's customer service, but they are always friendly and very helpful. They will definitely take care of you. Plus they are local, which is a bonus to me. If you need a prescription delivered, they even have a free delivery service. I highly recommend going here. Skip the big guys. You won't be sorry.
