This Walgreens sold us a $250 Amazon gift card that was already redeemed & had part of the claim code defaced. There was no way to see that before purchasing as it was still in the cardboard sleeve. Walgreens refused to make it right, so they took our $250 and gave us nothing. Do not shop here, and definitely don't buy gift cards from this store. Horrible treatment! read more

The Walgreen's Manager, Cameron, knows and practices GREAT Customer Service. I entered the store about 15 minutes before closing. I could not find waterproof 1 inch adhesive tape in the store, even though 'shop on line @ walgreens.com' stated that they had some available to pick up. Cameron took the time and made the effort to accommodate me, the customer. I left one minute before the store closed with the product I needed. Cameron is an asset to Walgreens. Thank You, Cameron. Again. After waiting several months to go back to this Walgreens on Book Road. Our family was treated like crsp at the pharmacy because the pharmacist wanted to go to lunch. Wanted us to come back in two hours. We didn't, reason for last review. So we went back today for some groceries. We have the rewards points and have at least $5.00 coming to us. Asked that the amount be taken off our bill. The cashier stated we had zero points! Serious! We have been members at least 15 years or more. In addition the cashier did not know what she was doing. Ya, to all Yelpers, the Book Rd at 95th street Walgreens is a must to avoid. Poor service and unprofessional management. Wow. My dad and I came here yesterday because it was on our way (I usually go to the one on Columbia & Ogden). We found everything well enough, but customer service was totally lacking when we went to check out. The register was run by a girl who seemed high school age and made no secret that she did not want to be there. Dad bought only a greeting card and she just shoved it at him across the counter; when he asked for a bag she made a show of rifling through the bags, slamming it in, then tossing it back at him. What the hell? When I said thank you as we were leaving she said, "Uh-huh." Ok... The thing is, Dad said the same girl was there the day before when he went here for a newspaper and she had the same 'tude about a bag then. Sounds like some training is needed, and it is proof that one employee can give your whole store a bad face! I'll stick with my location on Ogden and Columbia! read more

Walgreens on any locations are terrible when it comes to customer service store and pharmacy department! I went to the one in Book Road and 95th- pharmacist and tech are horrible! Looks like they hated their jobs! Pharmacist went over the instructions of medicines to take like she's reading a litany to herself. Not so friendly like yoU are a bother to her! I would transfer all our records of preferred pharmacy to CVS which by far staff and very friendly and helpful. Save yourself some aggravation! read more

Walgreens Clinic on Book & 95th street in Naperville is such a ripoff. You promote as "no insurance, come here" We provide convenient......blah blah blah Let me tell you that I paid $125 copay for my son to be seen at a HIGHER level office by a physician and got stitches to boot. 2 hour visit. My husband went to this location and was in and out in 5 minutes. Saw a NP and the bill was double my sons. What a complete and utter ripoff. Do not go here unless you want to start off with an $185 office visit. You're not paying for quality care. Just the name of the system. Run run run MedSpring is WAY more affordable, clean, and can provide a greater variety of services. read more

The wait times are a bit high, but they manage to get my prescriptions done on time. The pharmacy has improved a lot. Drive through is slow at times, but other than that, I've had good experience. Rida is straight up the fastest and nicest pharmacy technician I've ever had assist me. I wish I had energy like that. She also doesn't hesitate to tell you the truth. No matter now rude the customer is, the staff manages the situation professionally. Rodrigo and natalia have great customer service. This Walgreens has improved a lot and it's honestly because of the staff. As long as there's a staff who knows what they're doing, the pharmacy will flow well. read more

I've actually been going to Walgreens more and more for quick things I need. It's more convenient to me then going to an actual grocery store. The prices can be a little more expensive then say a Walmart but not too much. Convenience usually costs! But if you are in a rush, def think about going here instead of a bigger store. They usually have good deals going on for make up which is nice and even hair care. A buy one get one free or half off is usually always going on which I can appreciate. The employees are nice and it's clean and organized. I used to go here for my pharmacy needs and I had a great experience going through them as well. Sign up for the rewards program also. There isn't a whole lot of perks but there are some and it's free so might as well! Overall great store! read more

But became very impatient and condescending when I asked about pharmacy discount cards. Sorry lady. And sorry Walgreens. This pharmacy is awful. Wait times in the drive thru are ridiculous. I have had several prescriptions filled incorrectly also.

Walgreen's is great. Bob the cashier has been there for years and he is awesome. We have been going to the pharmacy for years, and we've never had any problems. They always have cheap milk and if there's more than 3 people in line at the cashier, Bob will say "I see three!" and ten seconds later the photo person says that he's available to check out. So there's never any waiting. read more

The pharmacy here is a total bear to deal with. You're better off going to the one on Washington and 87th st. Several times they have not listened to what I am asking them and sold me the wrong thing. They scanned my ID and then I was unable to buy the correct thing because of the quantity laws. They were mistaken, not I, yet I was unable to get my medication because of it. They always seem to be understaffed and running behind. The rest of the store is always organized and the employees are friendly. 3 stars for the store, 2 off for the god awful pharmacy. read more

Horrible with medications I got a text saying it was ready and I show up and still have to wait 30 minutes and I end up missing my appointment I had planned on making it to. If I could give them zero stars I would. This evening, as I went to the cash register, I saw the cashier a few feet away unmasked and speaking to two other unmasked patrons. She then came over to check me out. Thankfully she then put on her mask but I asked "isn't it required for patrons to wear masks?" She said yes and I said "shouldn't you have told them they cannot be inside?" She seemed to not care and allowed the people to still stay in the store. The patrons overheard my conversation as they ironically sanitized their hands with the stores products and said "what's the problem I'm 6 ft away from you." And I responded "you're required to where a mask inside". Why was I the one to say something? I was so disturbed not only that the patrons were not kicked out for abiding by the rules but that the staff of the store wasn't either. The management of the store needs to review the rules and guidelines with the staff and make sure they are being unforced. Unbelievable.... read more

The people working at this Walgreens are great. The service at the pharmacy is a little so so I knocked off a star.

My doctor sent a prescription to Walgreens on Book Road on Monday. Later that day I checked on the status and it said the prescription was "in process" and wasn't ready yet. I checked again the next day and the next two days and got the same result - still "in process". The following day I checked the status again and the result was "there are no prescriptions in process" - my prescription had disappeared ! I called the pharmacy and they told me that they decided not to fill the prescription because there is a similar OTC medication that would cost four dollars less. They never told me, they just unilaterally decided not to fill my prescription, while all the while stating that the prescription was "in process". Fortunately, this wasn't a life threatening situation, but if it had been, my life could have been jeopardized without knowing anything about it over four dollars ! read more

It never fails that I always have a positive experience at the Walgreens. This location, imparticular is my favorite. Not because its nearest my home, or on my way to work, but because of June, who rocks out the register on the weekdays. She is so chipper and so fun, she absolutely makes my day! Unfortunately we live very close to this walgreens, otherwise we would switch pharmacies for sure. This review is just about the pharmacy, the rest of the store is run very well. The pharmacy is probably just too busy, but there is one issue that really gets me mad. My doctors will give them a 90 day prescription and then after a refill or two suddenly walgreens is only giving me 30 days or 60 days of meds with no explanation given. I have asked a few times and they say things like the doctor only said 30 or 60 days or there was only 30 days left until the Rx expired. Well, that doesn't make sense or hold water! The Rx's have a number of refills on them. And/or they expire in a year. A year is evenly divisible by 90 days. There is no way they could be reducing it because of that reason. I don't know why they do this, but they have done it consistently to both me and my husband. My theory is that they only get reimbursed a certain amount by the insurance companies per rx, but that includes a couple bucks for every Rx filled. Fill three 30 day rx's vs one 90 day rx and multiply that by all your customers and it pads the bottom line just a little bit. I don't quite believe in the Grassy Knoll but I do have ?s about that day in '63, so I might be conspiracy minded, but otherwise why would they do this? We used Walgreens for ten years in California before we moved here and never once did our Rx's mysteriously change from 90 days to 30 or 60 days. We have had some other minor issues, but at least all our meds are filled with the right meds and the right dosages, so that's worth the two stars for doing the minimum necessary. But I feel that if my doctor orders 90 days then Walgreens needs to be more concerned about filling that part of the Rx accurately as well. read more
