Overall I'd say 5 for the company! I am a longtime Walgreens customer - best place to get my travel supplies & my photos. I'm always greeted with a friendly welcoming. The store is organised so that you know where everything is, you don't hafta guess. Pretty much the same formula for every Walgreens no matter what state I'm in. I love this location. But lately, the friendliness has turned too oft into grumpy and surly representatives. The tone I got when being asked a question, whilest sitting trying to create photos, was more like an accusation. I get it. They're tired of the local community looting & plundering to feed (for the most part) their addiction. I feel for the employees who have to deal with this constantly. But I had to remind them not to allow these people to bring them down. Be tough love firm. Sadly like photos, businesses such as Walgreens are quickly vanishing. I may find myself choosing their competitor for now, because their Photo Company has chosen a program which won't allow me to print any of my photos that aren't 4 years old or newer. And that's WRONG! That really pissed me off when I'm trying to preserve my family history. read more

The store manager here - Amanda cere (spelling may be wrong of name)- is an idiot, she didn't give the employee discount when proof of employment was shown after the phone number didn't give the discount. The employee only app ESS41-Reflexis was logged into as asked by the register associate.. the store manager refused to give the discount.. wasted everyone's time ... ppl behind us in line were getting upset waiting... rude and completely disrespectful... didn't provide a reason for not giving the discount when asked.... We live 40 minutes from this location. Unfortunately it was the only one that had the prescription we needed. I have been on hold for almost an HOUR. I called the main store like with my husbands phone twice and told them that I need to speak to someone in pharmacy ASAP. My 6 year old is in pain. They do not care. I am giving them a 3 to help them out. I was on hold for 20 minutes to speak to someone in Pharmacy, but when they finally answered, they quickly hung up before saying hello. I called back and was on hold again for another 25 minutes before someone picked up. That's just crazy!! ... Or maybe I'm crazy for calling back! I think both!! read more

I live around the corner from this Walgreens and all I have been getting is rotten service from this place. My other Walgreens I love love, I am not feeling any type of love at all. Their management is very rude an no Customer Service training at all. They had a mop that was dirty on the bottom pad and I bought another pad to change the dirty pad. I ask for a discount and was told no she can send it back to the company and get a full refund. I said then take the old pad and send it back to get comped. Again I was told no an I paid full price for the mop and extra pad. The manager walked away mumbling and refuse to help. Roxanne the cashier was very nice and apologized for her manager's behavior... 12/19/2017- Then tonight I stood dental section 20 minutes pushing a button for service another manager finally came after 20 minutes later after I had yelled up front for service. No sorry, you had to wait long nothing.. If I was a secret shopper these manager's would need to be written up and take a 40hr Customer Service course. read more

I had a horrible experience here at this pharmacy. I had went through the drive-thru and was met with a very rude pharmacy tech. Once I was received my medication in the drop box she just walked away from the window. She didn't insist on asking me if I had any questions about a narcotic I was picking up for my mom or anything. I wish I would've gotten her name it was such a horrible pharmacy experience. read more

This is probably the worst Walgreens pharmacy I've dealt with. They will frequently tell you that your meds will be ready by a specific time and then you'll be told that it will be another 90 minutes and so on. They do not appear to be knowledgeable and claim to follow "corporate policy" when another Walgreens has completely different policies. I'd love someone to tell me what the corporate policy really is. They make no apologies and can not explain anything when they've told you wrong information. I will be looking for a different pharmacy. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We waited at the pharmacist drive thru window for over 10 minutes and they NEVER acknowledged or spoke to us even after we rung the bell and everything. They could clearly see us and still zero acknowledgment. They could've said, we'll be right with you or just a moment...anything. It is very inconvenient for me to go into the store with 3 tiny children by myself and one is in a lot of pain. I was trying to do all customers in the store a favor by not bringing my kids in. When you have a 1 year in NEED of her medicines, you would like some help! DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

If you are sick and not feeling good at late at night you normally want to go to a pharmacy where the pharmacist is nice and caring. Well the overnight fulltime pharmicst is rude and unpleasent to work with he tells people it will take 8 to 10 hours to get prescriptions filled. He complains that walgreens closed all other 24hour pharmacies in the phoenix area and hes the only one. If their is any type of insurance entry he will not put it in. He tells you got to come back during the day to have a Rpht put it into the system like it belittles him. I have known several pharmacy techs who have moved to other locations because of him. I and several people i know will not go to that pharmacy anymore because of him. I rather go 10 miles out of my way now to get all my prescriptions filled at costco because at costco they know your name everytime you go there unlike walgreens who knows you as a number. Stay away from this walgreens at all cost. read more

The pharmacist here is a dick and the techs are stuck up and think they are better than you. I understand the area I live in isn't the best. Yes there are drug addicts and what not. But my damn medical history is on your screen speaks for itself and it shows type 1 diabetic and you want to deny selling syringes for my insulin. Then say ok you will only sell me a bag for 3 plus dollars when I can get a box for 15.. c'mon you have to be kidding me I was using my hsa account for crying out loud. So basically you are assuming I am a drug addict. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out based on the medical history... type 1 diabetes doesn't go away... forever on insulin read more

There is a Walgreens located at 51st Ave and Indian School Road in Phoenix, AZ. My family and I have been going there for years and always enjoyed excellent customer service and professional pharmacy care---until yesterday. My son was quite sick and I recommended this Walgreens to fill his scripts. When he dropped off his script, the pharmacy tech stated it would take an hour to process it. My son asked if he could just stay home and if I could pick it up for him. The lady affirmed I could and I would just need id. Not once did she ask for health insurance information. Since the doc's office had called in the script anyway, and the tech confirmed that and other info, it seemed she already had the insurance information. An hour later, I returned. This time, I used the drive through and a different pharmacy tech. This one informed me they didn't have my son's health insurance information in the system. She double checked and still, nothing. She suddenly said she would be right back and left me sitting there for about five minutes. During that time, I called my son on my cell phone. Then, I told the tech I was going home to get him. She just said, "Ok." and that was it. No apology for inconvenience, no possible explanations concerning the problem. Nothing. About a half hour later, my son and I were there. By then, he was beginning to shiver with fever. That is when we learned Walgreen's doesn't take or use Tricare insurance. (My son is in the Navy Reserves.) The tech informed him he could get his script filled at CVS, which takes Tricare. By then, it was more than 2 hours since the doc's office called in the script, son was sick and needed his meds. Rather than go to another store and risk waiting any longer, he paid for his meds out of pocket, which came to more than $80. {{{Just think, if the original pharmacy tech had done her job, the entire scenario could have been avoided. Time and money could have been saved and a sick Navy Reservist wouldn't have been jerked around like that.}}} I knew I was in for a long night caring for my sick son and my husband, who is recovering from major surgery. So, I quickly picked up a movie and some chips. I used the cashier in the "beauty" aisle to avoid the line at the main register. The cashier proceeded to eat cheetos in front of me, while she was handling my transaction. For me, that was the last straw. I will never spend any more of my money at this particular Walgreens again. This is a big city. There are plenty of other pharmacies to choose from. My son was so unimpressed, he was glad he could only go to CVS anyway. So, Walgreens at 51st and Indian School, this is your notice---You're Fired!!! read more
