We have used this pharmacy for 15 years, and since the two longtime pharmacists retired, the service has gone downhill. Prescriptions are no longer filled as written, and instead the pharmacy keeps requesting approval for larger quantities without explanation. No one has been able to tell us why, and no one seems interested in fixing it. My husband waited three days for a prescription because of this issue. We came in person after they would not answer the phone, explained we only wanted the 60-count the doctor prescribed, and were told it would be ready by noon. When we returned, we were told the computers were down and it would not be ready until after 3 p.m. (They were using the computers) When I explained this delay had already gone on for three days because of their unnecessary quantity request, the technician interrupted me and said that was not their problem. The only positive was that the morning tech was polite and professional. The afternoon staff, however, lacked customer service skills and came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The overall appearance and standards of the pharmacy staff and management were disappointing, especially for a neighborhood Walgreens surrounded by schools. This location used to be organized, professional, caring, and efficient. Now it feels chaotic and poorly managed. After 15 years of loyalty from our family of six, we are done. We will gladly drive farther to Costco, where the customer service and professionalism are far better. I purchased an electronic phonecharger from Walgreens for nearly $40. Within just six weeks, the cord began to fray -- a clear defect and a potential safety hazard. When I brought it in for an exchange, they refused because it was past their 30-day return window. Nearly $40 for a defective, frayed-cord product that lasted less than two months, and they wouldn't stand behind it. That's completely unacceptable. A company that won't exchange a faulty -- and potentially dangerous -- item after such a short time clearly doesn't value its customers. I will NEVER purchase anything from Walgreens again. Walgreens pharmacy on 48th and Elliot is short staffed and rude. At 11:45 I called to check status because I had gotten a text and app notification. I needed to get the medication before 3 and in pain. I was told that they didn't have it, I advised the man I got a text and notification, he told me he had 2 but not the one I needed and proceeded to tell me he was busy and couldn't talk anymore and hung up. I called back about 15 minutes and the girl told me she had all three and would not give me a timeline stating that it was just her and the pharmacist and they had to unpack before getting prescriptions ready I told her I didn't have transportation after 3 and she couldn't give me a time and very rude. My daughter took me there about 2:45 and the female said there were two that needed pharmacists to check and when I asked the name of them, she proceeded to repeat herself in a very rude manner and walked away. When she finally came back I looked to see if they were the ones I really needed, my daughter told her she was very rude and asked to speak to the manager where she said she was in front of the store. She refused to give her name when my daughter and I both asked. My daughter and I both talked to the manager so we'll see what happens. But there were about 6 people behind the counter. We had the worst experience with Walgreens pharmacy. I will never shop there again. My roommate had been in to transfer her prescriptions from Washington state and left the information with the pharmacist. When we came back four days later they had no record of the request. We went home and got her prescription bottles went back to Walgreens and then the pharmacist assistant didn't know how to transfer the prescriptions from Safeway pharmacy to Walgreens. Another wasted trip. I refused to stand around for another 20 minutes while she figured it out. I left and went to the nearest Safeway where they managed the refill in under five minutes and will mail out the prescriptions saving us another trip to the pharmacy. this location frequently closes due to no pharmacist available. wait times for drive up are over 20 minutes every time I go. and I held this morning for 17 minute, I had only one caller ahead of me the entire time!!!! I am on hold again because they still haven't picked up and my prescription is now a delay because of the pharmacist, not stock or insurance! and the website often is down due to technical issues. would highly recommend going elsewhere even if it's a drive and limited hours. Absolute worst customer service at the this pharmacy. The rudeness from the girl answering phones is so unnecessary. She is snarky and speaks to you with NO respect. You also will get hung up on with NO answers on your prescription after waiting on hold for 30 min. I believe I had the same run in with this person in the drive thru and she was so incredibly mean to me because I had a crying newborn in my back seat. It is consistent that the pharmacy always delays prescriptions. You have to constantly phone in to make sure they are filling your prescription. Even when the are phoned in for same day pick up from your doctors office there is a delay. In addition the customer service has deteriorated. read more

Don't bother with Walgreens Photo. The quality has gone down hill. Twice in 2024, I used Walgreens Photo for two separate occasions for printing of photo cards at two different locations (Mesa & Tempe). The quality is garbage. The 2nd time I even paid extra for the premium card stock for better quality. Both times it was a waste of my time and money. I was in a time crunch both times. I love convenience. That's what you'll find at a Walgreens store. When I don't want to spend my time roaming around a grocery store, I come here and find many daily essentials in a smaller space at a fraction of the time. The health and beauty ladies are typically knowledgeable and on point :) Liquor, smokes, and drug areas satisfy the devil in me ;D Photo area makes plugging in my phone into a paper trail of memories. Clean and well kept isles are easily navigated. Pharmacy my go to when prescriptions needed. I hope I can always afford convenience over price point. Thank you Walgreens! If you care about getting medications ON TIME - or at all, PLEASE, go somewhere else! At least 3 times, this pharmacy refused to fill my medication properly or at all and when I got disgusted and changed to a local non chain pharmacy, they have refused to transfer my prescriptions twice now. I don't know about you, but when I am feeling sick or needing a refill, the last thing I need is to have the pharmacist say no and force me to drive to another location. Once, I had called in 3 prescriptions. I was told when they would be ready. Went to pick up and only had 2 ready, but wouldn't give them, I don't know why. The 3rd...ooops, we don't have it, but you can get it at xyz location. Drove quickly to that location, and explained what was happening. The pharmacist said let me call them. She calls to 32nd street and I can hear every word from the female pharmacist as she says to this new pharmacist when asked "what should I do?" The answer: " I DON'T CARE, I AM NOT FILLING IT". Yes, I put in Caps, because the pharmacist was yelling it - that's how I heard it. So this 2nd pharmacy could only fill 2 which they did. The 3rd, I had to go to a 3rd Walgreen's with 10 minutes to spare. They filled the last one, but who wants to drive to 3 different pharmacies? Recently, I went to pick up a prescription to help me breathe. Same prescription for over 2 years at this "pharmacy". Almost every time they would give too much - probably to try and make more money, and it would be corrected. This time, I get there about 20 minutes before closing. The Pharmacist (Al), asks me to wait. After 5-10 minutes, someone brings over my prescription, but by the size of the bag, I know it is again too much. I explained it to the tech, and she was nice about it. She starts to take things out (they come in closed boxes) Al, asks what she is doing. She tells him that it is too much, so she is taking some out. He says "no we are closing soon!" I look at him stunned. I said it was way too much, I only need 2 boxes, not 6! He still says no. Now this is for a nebulizer to help me breathe, it isn't for a hang nail or a tiny rash! Also not a "free" medication on my insurance. Right after his "NO", he rushes over and pulls down the steel gate. Very professional. They make the same mistake as they have been doing, and now they won't correct it. If he was so in need of leaving at exactly closing time - A. They should have filled what was asked for, B. Not kept me waiting for 10 minutes, and C. Could have just taken them out, put a note on them, and put them back in stock the next day, nevermind about staying for 2 extra minutes to make the change, or putting up a sign saying "All prescriptions must be picked up 30 minutes before closing." Yes, I spoke to the Mgr on these occasions, but that is a whole different story. I won't take your time to discuss. Please think twice about going where no one ever knows you, or wants to; where prescriptions are filled wrong or not at all; and where a whole lot of other errors and problems happen and there is no resolution. read more

This place is always understaffed and I always dread coming here because the line takes way too long each time. They only ever have one person in the checkout line. The guy at the checkout is always very nice and it's a clean nice store with a nice staff. They are frequently out of common things, but not sure if that's just a COVID aftermath situation. This review is specifically for the pharmacy as we have been going to this location for several years now. With the previous pharmacist, we had not so great experiences. Now that Elaine is the pharmacist, we have had no issues or problems at all. She and her staff are always friendly and accommodating, they help answer questions, and they are efficient. Sometimes people lose track that their prescriptions are not the only ones being filled as visibly obvious with the alphabetized bins that are sometimes overflowing, waiting to be picked up. There have been incidences where I have wanted to intercept and defend the pharmacy staff, because of how incredibly selfish and rude some of the buyers are. It's as though they forget that the staff are also people just trying to get through the day. I have never witnessed any of the staff become argumentative or unkind during these occurrences, despite how they are being spoken to. I truly do appreciate this pharmacy location! read more

Generally, this pharmacy is great. They are personable and do everything in their power to help resolve an insurance/doctor/pharmacy issue. However, lately, the pharmacy tech staff have been really unhelpful. When the doctor sends out a prescription to the wrong Walgreens pharmacy, call and cancel it to get it to yours, it's called going above and beyond to get me on my way. Arguing with me about something you can fix much easier than me is not good customer service. Luckily, someone else in the pharmacy must have told this young man to call/cancel/and then refill, which fixed the situation. Think ahead, do what you can when it's much easier for you to fix than me, this is going above and beyond for the customer. read more

This pharmacy is the worst. I've been filling prescriptions here several times each month for four people in my family since they open and I can only recall one time that they've actually gotten everything right efficiently, politely, and without any screw-ups. They've filled wrong prescriptions, miscounted prescriptions, and just now they handed the wrong person's prescription out the window to me! Do not apply for the Walgreens credit card they don't tell you that if you don't qualify for the MasterCard then they give you a very high credit limit with Walgreens that affects your credit score stopping you from getting an actual credit card and being trapped with a Walgreens only card the Walgreens card only is strictly for the benefit of Walgreens very upset that I was not given the option to opt out if it was not the MasterCard now if I close my Walgreens only account it will affect my credit and the amount of the credit they gave me is also affecting my credit to debt ratio read more

This review is in regards to the photo department. I walked into the store today for a passport renewal photo and was immediately and pleasantly greeted by Josh at the photo department. The process was quick and easy with only three pictures to take. Josh told me it would take about 10 minutes to process the photos and in the mean time he offered to even print off my paperwork!!
