After driving 30 minutes the owner called her and the appointment was given to someone else by accident after having it in the books. Just as weird, this happened after my wife left a poor review regarding the owner. The owner said "there is a conflict of interest" and my wife is banned from the business. Posted above is WV law stating this banishment is a violation ofF state and federal laws!! I'm looking for other clients that have been treated like this by the owner. I visited the ravenswood WV Dollar general store. There was a nice cashier named Sherry working the…read morefront and a manager and another staff member just behind her in the office. The manager and the other staff member we're having an obvious social visit. The cashier, Sherry entered the office area and requested assistance because there was a line of people waiting, and I needed assistance getting a fan down from a high shelf that was only reachable by a ladder. Her request was plainly ignored. And she proceeded to wait on the customers and then go out, while others waited in line, and climbed up on a ladder and reached for a fan that was still too high for her to reach, in order to get the item I requested. I specifically asked the manager if she worked there at the store because I was confussed as to why she was not helping, or even acknowledging her coworker / employee, while there was a line of customers waiting, while she was socializing in her office. It did not leave a good impression on me at all. Not sure how DG does their management but human compassion and just basic respect should be established and practiced by the management towards not only the employees but the customers who are standing their waiting and listening to someone's social Life issues while waiting in line... The cashier, Sherry was very sweet and worked very diligently and I felt very sorry for her. She did not deserve to be treated so rudely especially in front of customers. And the customers should not have been disregarded.
