I would give zero stars if I could. The pharmacist mishandled my Lantus refill request by sending it to a doctor who is not authorized to renew my prescription, despite my more than 50 years as a Type 1 diabetic and decades of prescription history with Walgreens. He refused even a single pen(which I am well informed on) to bridge me over while the issue was sorted out. His disregard for my medical history and the urgency of insulin access was unacceptable. If this is how he treats long-standing patients with life-sustaining medications, it may be time for him to reconsider his role. I was essentially sent away without the medication I rely on to live. Sam, the person working at 2:30 on 7/28. The current man mining the drive thru is extremely rude and dismissive, while waiting in 90 degree weather, he skipped me in the drive thru line, I inquired why and he said I was making a big deal although it was hot and I was on my way to work, he failed to verify if I would be able to get my medication today and I had to park my car and come in. POOR MANAGEMENT, ROTTEN CUSTOMER SERVICE! Checking out at Walgreens, the eye drops rang up for $30. I thought they were $20.00.  Cashier said "no its $30."  Point blank & repeated this no matter what.  I didn't see any for $30, and I would not pay for it.  -Later one rang up for $22. With no other customers the cashier didn't offer to see for herself and sternly said,  "This will take a while since I need a manager to total this out and start over.  I said I was waiting on a prescription. Cashier said "Don't blame me! It's not my fault!"  I said there is no need to get defensive. Cashier said, "I am not defensive", and added more about blaming as she went to get a manager. The Manager came up and asked what the problem was.  I calmly said the above of what the Cashier said to me.  By then there were other customers. The Manager very loudly said "Now! Now! Just CALM Down!", while looking at me said "Take a couple of deep breaths! All is fine!" I was calm, and embarrassed. The cashier finished the transaction and held my purchased bag straight out in front of her, waited for me to grab it while glaring at me with a somber face.  I waited for her to say Thank you.  Barely moving her lip Cashier finally squeaked out a very soft, "Have a good night;". I said "You too."  Cashier said "Geez, why did you have to glare at me like that?  You didn't have to stare at me so long."  I  replied  "I believe you were staring at me." Cashier just said more snotty accusations at me as I walked away. I found the Manager and calmly said that I thought her response to the incident was not right.  I felt blamed instead of addressing the cashier's poor behavior.  I said, "Now she's very inappropriate again." The Manager snapped at me and said "_xxxx__ is not inappropriate she did nothing wrong!" and just repeated this same argument when I said,  "Oh yes she is. She's very inappropriate."  I said, "Accusing me of glaring at her is very inappropriate."  The Manager argued repeatedly, "She was not inappropriate!  She did nothing wrong!"  I said yes she was inappropriate and walked away feeling worse for having said anything at all. Later I tried to look at the cashier's hidden name-tag. Cashier mimicked me and very snottily sang her name out, with the manager standing right there. Manager said nothing. The staff here do not understand how their own computer systems work, have difficulty communicating with customers (I've been talked over, asked questions completely unrelated to my concerns, completely misunderstood when I've tried to explain my problems...and hung up on) and do not seem to care at all about their customers. The pharmacist (or pharmaceutical tech) they have hired for some of the night shifts is also one of the most asocial, crass and rude people I've ever had the displeasure of getting my medications from. I have had to move from one Walgreens to the next over the years because of this company's incompetency when it comes to their training. Suffice to say that their monopoly of 24-hour pharmacies in America has led to their being lazy. read more

Walgreens is a great one stop shop. As you wait for your prescription to be filled you can stock up on some food essentials or even browse toys. You can even find special edition Walgreens only Transformers. My husband likes to collect those. read more

Evidentially, it's "game on" with a brand new shiny CVS moving in across the street this fall. I've always found this Walgreens to be just fine for all my needs whether it be passport photos, a bottle of water, or fingernail clippers. Yet they'll have to rise to the occasion if they're going to beat out the competition that will be located on what I consider to be the more convenient side of Division street. read more

Better than CVS which is across the street. More stuff to look at and more people on staff. They have helped me out a few times and somehow they're always really friendly (despite dealing with sick and frustrated people all day). I like this place, it's solid. read more

WORST experience with a pharmacist EVER! Thank God for physicians that prescribe appropriate medical solutions in the form of prescriptions to maintain healthy pain free living. A compassionate, caring, patient and helpful pharmacist is a great compliment to a medical team. Medical issues in themselves can cause anxiety, guilt, self doubt and a multitude of emotions as people try to live their lives as normal as possible with medical conditions. Unfortunately my experience with a Walgreen's Pharmacist (I'll call him Brad) was anything but compassionate or caring. I was treated in a manner that made me feel like I was suspect, unimportant and an annoyance. As I waited for my prescription to be filled, I witnessed each of the next 5 customers get treated with the same disrespect and indignation. I would hope that management would take note of this level of customer service (or lack thereof) and help "Brad" to refine his customer service skills ( or find some) before all of their business walks across the street to CVS. Customers shouldn't' be treated like crack dealers or be made to feel that way. read more
