Waited 45 minutes for a vaccine which I had an appointment for. The most incompetent people work in the pharmacy

Through COVID, I have used this Walgreens often. Twice to get COVID tested and once to get my COVID vaccine. Then a couple times to get some nitrile gloves. COVID testing: They were mostly organized and I was in and out of there within about 15-20 min. Not too shabby. COVID vaccine: Relatively painless process. I wasn't able to figure out how to choose the J&J through the website, so I just walked in and asked. She said it was fine, though she acted put out that I was trying to walk in. In the end, I got my vaccine relatively quickly and with decent customer service. The nitrile gloves: Holy crap, this is so dumb. I bought online with a coupon to buy one box (at $4.99) and get one at 50% off. Well, that's 80 gloves for $7.50. Just about right for pre-COVID prices. When I ended up liking them, I decided to go into the store to repeat the buy (I noticed that the coupon online was still active.) In the store, the price for a regular box was $9.99, plus they didn't have the online deal in the store. So this is really what I did. I went on my phone, ordered the gloves, walked out to my car. Waited in the car, and they brought them out to me. The stupidity of what I had to do there just irritates me immensely... Finally, this store is pretty trashy. There isn't much that I would purchase in this store... and it was pretty boring to walk around for the 10 minutes after my vaccine, but I did survive the experience. read more

I had a new scrip sent in this morning. Then I spent the entire afternoon trying to get the meds delivered without success. Each time I called in, I had to first wait through the obligatory announcements "in espanol". Then the store hours for that day. Then the lunch hours for that day. Then the store hours for tomorrow. Then the recommendations for childhood vaccines. Then I would request a pharmacist from the computer receptionist - that was rejected and the system again tried to get me to give up and take care of my needs using the robot operator. So next I would request a pharmacist again only to be put on hold. I would wait on hold for several minutes until I was told I was #1 in queue. I waited several more minutes to have someone answer but then this person just said "walgreens please hold" and I was back in purgatory. After several more minutes the robotic voice said I was now #4 in queue. So in 10 minutes or so I stepped back 3 spaces in the phone line. After several more minutes I heard another human voice again saying "walgreens please hold"and was again back to the annoying music for a still longer time. Then the robotic system eventually hung up on me. I have experienced this several times in the last two weeks. Occasionally I get through to a human but these people are in a call center not the pharmacy and they are not able to help do what ii need so they transfer me back to the robotic system where again I am farther down in the sequence than I was before. Only once in the last two weeks have I actually reached a pharmacy staff member. My low rating does not relate to the pharmacy staff but instead to the piss poor phone system. I wish Rite-Aid was still in business because I could always get through there. read more

walgreens hq PLEASE help your pharmacy techs. i have never had a positive experience here and i always have to wait at least thirty minutes in line (after waiting 3 days for my fully in-stock script to be filled). I thought walgreens was swamped and understaffed due to covid, but after three years i think it's the norm now for every walgreens pharmacy to be a logistical and customer service nightmare. DONT BLAME INDIVIDUAL TECHS-THIS IS CLEARLY A TOP-DOWN ISSUE. walgreens hq needs to implement some training or policy because i've genuinely considered stopping taking my medications because of how much i hate dealing with this pharmacy every month. read more

The store is often poorly stocked. Some of the employees are very nice. After so many times of waiting 8 deep in the drive through line or worse inside the store I moved my prescriptions to a mail order pharmacy. Now they are delivered to my home and there is no standing in line or waiting in the drive through. read more

I have been doing business with Walgreens since my youth in Chicago, well over 60 years. This Pharmacy is by far the worst and least customer oriented I have ever experienced. This evening's episode is a perfect example. My wife has Parkinneeded Prednizone and the prescription was ready. We arrived at the store at 5:38 PM, aware that the pharmacy closed at 6:00 PM. My wife entered the store since she needed nylons, but to spare her walking throughout the store and standing in line, since she has Parkinson's, I offered to drive around to the drive in. I drove into that line at 5:44 with two cars in front of me. The first car exited at 5:46, By then, another car pulled in behind me so I was trapped in the line. And there I sat. At around 5:50, the extension drawer came out to the car in front and I expected that would end that transaction. Instead, the drawer remained extended for the next 8-9 minutes and nothing happened. At 6:01, they completed that transaction and closed the window with no regard for the customers in line. I went into the store and was told with absolutely no concern that I could go to an all-night Walgreens, The closest is in Dearborn Michigan 20-30 miles away. read more

I rarely take the time to write a review, but this Walgreens deserves it. In the last several months, they have lost staff or reduced staff to the point where you have to wait HOURS to pick up a prescription. I called in my prescription yesterday at 10:00 am and the automated system said it would be ready by 3:00pm. I checked last night- still not ready. I checked this morning- still not ready. I am now OUT of a medication I NEED. I call the store- it's a joke! I could wait on hold for 4 hours and they would NEVER pick up. I will now have to drive to the store, wait in line for over an HOUR- just to tell them they need to fill my damn prescription. At this point- they will tell me it will take an hour or however long to get ready, and I will have to wait in line all over again. They have no system to manage the extreme lines. They are not a functional drugstore. The worst part is- they have my prescription, so I have to wait in line for HOURS even if I want to just take this prescription somewhere else. I can't stand CVS, but I have no choice but to go back to them now. I have NEVER had this kind of a problem getting a prescription in my whole life- and this is a prescription I have been taking for 8 years and have had it re-filled at this same pharmacy monthly for the entire time. It's not like this is an exotic or new prescription. I understand everyone is busy- but how difficult is it to tell a person on line if their script is ready or not, tell them when it will be ready, and move to the next person? These idiots behind the counter will spend 20 minutes with a 90 year old who asks stupid questions. They will sit there and waste 25 minutes working out insurance issues with a person; meanwhile everyone in line has to wait. How about 2 lines Walgreens!!? 1 for people that have their shit together and need all of 2 minutes to stop off or pick up, and a 2nd line for people who have all day to sit in Walgreens?! This Walgreens location is the most pathetic operation I have ever seen. I hope they go out of business!! WORST customer service possible. How corporate management is either unaware of how this pharmacy is run, or is too stupid to change the plan and make it work- is beyond me. They know you "need" them, so they don't care. The pharmacist here is beyond rude. He talks down to you. He has zero sense of customer service. Says he is going to do something and doesn't. Honesty one of the rudest people I've ever come in contact with I was very blown away. I left a message to speak to a manager who was suppose to call me back nothing. I stopped in to pickup a prescription, to find out that it was about 3times the amount that I usually pay. The young lady in the pharmacy was phenomenal, told me I could get the same item in the for a cheaper price. She took the time to walk me over to the aisle where it was locate. The item in the store was almost 1/3 cheaper than the presentation items. I wish I knew her name, but this is a shout out to her. I'm very appreciative!!! read more

Half an hour wait in drive thru. Told me to come back following day. Came back the following day with another one hour drive through wait time. Pharmacist and multiple techs had difficulty locating profile for my child, then once it was located they informed me no rx was ready. Asked me to wait outside of the line, again. Poor service all the way around with sick child. read more

The pharmacists at this location has always treated me so well. They are professional and work incredibly hard to keep up with their very difficult job. Wait times can definitely be frustration but that is not because of them. This location has a very high influx of pharmaceutical patients and they do their absolute best to keep up and always have given me top notch costumer service despite that. read more

The photo department was really helpful. The Prospect store ran out of something for printing and they drove a disk of my images over to the Washtenaw store for me, to have them printed there. When I picked everything up they were very nice, and the poster board photos were awesome. I did get one double print, and was missing a print but I also ordered a ton, and it was resolved. I had a second order and this time they ran out of the poster board at the Washtenaw store in Ypsi, and they called and picked it up from another store, and had it printed for me by 2:30 pm, same day. I thought they handled the situation kindly. Thanks photo people at both stores!!! read more

I've gone here twice to get film developed. The first time wasn't too bad. The second time I took film the employee was super confused and opened my film and exposed half of it. It took half an hour just to drop it off. About a week or two later I came back to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready yet. I checked back two times after that, at this point it was a month after I dropped it off and they realized they had never sent it out. I came back in a week and it was finally ready but they wouldn't give me a discount even though half of my film was exposed and they forgot to send it for a month. I've had many other problems with weird prices and and confused employees here. Would not recommend taking film here to get developed. read more

HORRIBLE place to get a prescription refilled and/or pick-up, mostly because there are "too many cooks in the kitchen" and really unorganized/clueless cooks at that! The pharmacists always greets with a smile & a promise to have a refill ready in just 20 minutes. I live 15 minutes away, so I figured I might as well stick around & knock things out of my shopping list! After today, I'M NEVER SHOPPING THERE TO SUPPORT THAT LOCATION EVER AGAIN!!! If you decide to go there, plan on a 2-3 hour wait time because that ALWAYS seems to be my experience there! I'm a lady, I keep my composure & I'm always upbeat, but that place always makes me flip out. All those years of etiquette classes didn't prepare me for such incompetent workers! Nobody deserves to stand/sit there amongst irritated customers for hours and later being told "Uuumm your prescription has been ready a long time ago, someone will take care of you shortly!" They should have said "I'm looking at you like you're dumb because you didn't come back in 20 minutes to check up on us; I don't know who told you that you will be notified! We will hand you your prescription & take your money after we finish this line of people who just walked in... Unless you cut in & start yelling!" Seriously Walgreens????!!!! read more

I visited Walgreens with my to pick up a prescription, and had an extended negative experience over the course of two days. This Walgreens isn't too busy, and has ample parking via a private lot. It's organized in a fashion similar to other drugstores, with the pharmacy located in the back corner of the store. The pharmacy section is pretty small (even for a Walgreens), and has an attached drive-thru window. It seems like there aren't enough staffers available, since a pretty long line built up. Moreover, the drive-thru gets significantly more attention than the people physically waiting on line, so I'd recommend taking that route if possible. In regards to our experience, we waited 20 minutes to be told that what we were looking for was out of stock, and my girlfriend waited 30 minutes the next day for fulfillment. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this Walgreens' customer service and efficiency; they need more people working in the pharmacy to meet demand. read more

AWFUL PHARMACISTS at this location. The two pharmacists that work at this Walgreens location are people I would never trust with my health care or the health care of my loved ones. Whitney Moulder, the pharmacist manager, curses and speaks with foul language after getting off the phone with patients. She discriminates against people with disabilities, lacks the common courtesy of communication, and is unprofessional in how she runs the pharmacy. She doesn't hire reliable or trustworthy employees (technicians), who have come in hours late for taking too much "Benadryl" or have gotten fired for failing drug tests. The pharmacist that works with her, Harshara K. (also known as Harsh) is aggressive in how he interacts with people (no pun intended), and lacks accountability for his actions. After misplacing a bottle of controlled medication, he demanded the employees to turn out their pockets in an accusatory manner only to realize an hour later that he put it in the wrong place. When it comes to health care providers, I think it's absolutely necessary for standard of decency to be held, which these pharmacists lack. I would not recommend this pharmacy, especially when so many others are located nearby with genuinely caring, honorable, and respectable pharmacists. read more

The only reason I continue to use this store is because of its proximity to my home. I mostly go in to pick up photos, and there is invariably an insanely long wait for someone to even show up behind the counter. Today a clerk walked past me waiting twice without asking if I had been helped, and when the person in charge of photos that day (the manager, apparently) finally appeared, he didn't bother to acknowledge that I had been waiting for 10 minutes just wasting my time. I think this was my last trip to this location. read more

Arrived at the pharmacy (on Hewitt) at 1130 Wednesday morning (just before the holiday) to pick up rx that doctor office had faxed about 15-20 min earlier (I know it was a little pushy of me at that time of day but I was still hopeful). These guys are awesome as my rx was ready when I got there. They were really hopping, but absolutely so professional and nice to everyone. I would not think of going elsewhere. Thank you. read more

Dr. "Harsh" is a world-class jerk. I don't know how the pharmacy staff put up with this man's terrible attitude. This is the second interaction we've had with Dr. Harsh, and both times we have been lectured to (in front of everyone) about how we should be filling all of our prescriptions at his pharmacy, although he was unable to explain to me why this was such a problem. We were only there because our normal pharmacy was out of what we needed. I guess we should have known better, as this was the second time we've dealt with this jerk. It will certainly be the last. I'll drive across town next time our pharmacy is out of what we need. read more

This is in reference to their pharmacy: I called in a prescription and was told it'd be ready by 1p. I came in the next day, and they told me that the order "got archived" (it'd been less than 24 hours since the order was ready for pickup), and I'd have to wait "15 minutes." Mind you, I came while on my lunch break with limited time because I thought it'd be ready to pick up. The wait became a half hour. No one offered anything to compensate for the experience. read more

The pharmacy techs at this Walgreen's location are incredibly rude and possibly inept. I was made late for work because they told me they could have my prescription ready in 15 minutes. Instead, they waited over 30 minutes to tell me I needed insurance authorization and they couldn't fill it. I went back on the day they told me to check back, asked if it was ready, and the same tech yelled at me and said, "NO WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING READY FOR YOU." If my prescription benefits weren't only through Walgreen's I would never go to a Walgreen's pharmacy again because of this experience. read more

Harsh K. is an awesome pharmacist. He is always friendly and efficient. He was very accommodating when I asked if I could get a different generic for my prescription because the packaging on the one I had last time was flimsy and horrible. He even apologized that it wouldn't be available until the day after next. Since I was there after 7 PM and he had to order it I really didn't expect it the next day. This guy seems to genuinely enjoy his job and is willing to work with you even when his shift is nearly over. I've had other less positive pharmacy experiences both through drive through and at the counter at this store (the wait can be long sometimes...and never get in the drive through if more than one car is ahead of you). Bottom line, Harsh K. is an awesome employee and I will continue to go here because of him. read more

Worst walgreens I have ever been to but it's walking distance from my house which is the only reason why I come here. It is the all time worst pharmacy (never less than an hour wait) and they aren't 24 hours so don't expect to be able to rely on them. The employees look miserable and never friendly. Every single time I come here, it is a bad experience. Last time i visited the photo department, I was in a hurry and waited at the counter for 20 minutes. Then I ran all over the store and had to ask the pharmacists to send someone back. Waited another 10 minutes for the manager to come. I am switching my pharmacy to meijer 15 minutes away because it will be worth the drive. read more

This location has terrible customer service. I was told my prescription would be done by a certain time and when I came to pick it up they said it was "put back" because I was not present at the pick up time. I have never had an issue like this and when I spoke to the manager he stated this should not happen unless it was passed 7 days. It was the same day and they still expected me to wait 20 minutes for it to be filled again. Unacceptable. read more

I was in this store on 09/06/16 at approx. 11a.m. The cashier had a very snotty attitude and made a smart ass comment to me. And this is not the first time she offended me with her attitude. From now on I will take my business across the street to CVS. They are always happy to see me. read more

I'm a regular shopper at this Walgreens, as I browsed the dental section I stumbled upon a bag of pot, happy with my purchases, I went home to enjoy my happy and healthy afternoon. Sadly, my afternoon ended a little lacking in the happy department, because the pot I found was some boo boo. I'd leave a higher rating in my review but unfortunately I wasn't even able to return the pot for store credit. read more
