Great little museum , lots of different artifacts about the town and old life in Australia. A small display on Dunlop , a prominent Victorian .
The building itself started in life in the late 1800 in Walhalla , a gold rush town , and got moved to Warburton when the gold rush ended in the early 1900s. At back of the museum is a very attractive/interesting fireplace and kitchen of that time .
The owner is a very informative lady who has lots of stories to tell, so do not miss out conversation with her as most of the display are things she has collected over her lifetime .
Finally do not forget to ask about one of Warburton famous visitors.
no entrance fee but she does ask for a donation of a gold coin ($1/2) to help defray her costs. Well worth a little visit . read more
