Jennifer called us and asked where we were and vectored the bus to pick us up along the way. Above and beyond customer service. Jennifer provided great narrative as we made ourselves around the city. This is more than a short downtown tour. We even got to go to the Olympics area west of town and have fabulous views of the Rocky Mountains. We learned about the history of Calgary and even visited the Heritage Park area. Enough time to grab coffee and Saskatoon berry ice cream. It was Stampede and we stopped at an overlook where we could see the whole grounds.

We are so glad we did and feel that this was the best way to experience a ton of spots in/around Banff in one day. We got picked up and dropped off directly at our hotel, which was super convenient. The bus was on time + easy to identify. Bus was clean, decent temp, & charging ports are provided. Our host Murray was so friendly and knowledgeable. He shared geographic, cultural, and other info on the drive to/from Banff. We first stopped at two different lakes/view point. Once in Banff, we were given 1.5 hours to shop and eat. We made the most of it! Lake Morraine & Louise were are fav stops! We had about 45 mins to an hour at each. The drive back takes 2.5 hours. We visited all the Banff hot spots and got great photos. It was nice meeting everyone on our bus. Being with the tour company, you don't have to worry about parking, permits, etc! Highly recommend booking if you want to see Banff in a day cost/time efficiently without worry!

He was very informative throughout the trip and took us to great locations for photo opportunities. Our next tour guide the following day was Bev. She kept us entertained during our trip to Drumheller and the Badlands. She was even kind enough to provide us Tim Horton's muffins and had plenty of water to provide on a hot day. Bev was also our guide on the evening city tour of Calgary. I recommend this tour company.

For one, it's expensive - over $300 for the both of us. We've never paid that much for a food tour so we had high hopes. The content was okay and the portions were big but the food honestly wasn't amazing. Plus, we had one gal in our group that had multiple allergies and they didn't plan it correctly so instead of catering one plate to her allergies, they had one plate alcohol free, one plate meat free, etc - and instead of taking back the extras and fixing it for everyone else, they just handed out her allergy plate. For example, there was one steak with a fermented beet sauce and fermented blackberry and since I was sitting next to her, they gave me the plate without either because it was made to be "alcohol free". To pay $150+ for this tour and not get what you paid for was a little disappointing. It was fine, just nothing special. I think a walking tour in downtown Banff would probably make more sense!

I didn't know what to expect, or better yet, I wasn't expecting much. And what a surprise, it was AMAZING! Karen, the owner was so friendly and knowledgable. The ladies attending the tour were very welcoming, the bus was comfortable and the tour was great. Who knew that cookies were so enticing. We visited 5 different locations, all incredible. The samples were generous and each location provided for enough treats to gain a few pounds, LOL! It started at Calgary's Farmers Market WEST with a delicious orange ginger juice, coffee, berries and the best hamburguer ever. There we visited the chocolatier and Yum Bakery, omg, the chocolate and the cookies were amazing, then we visited Mercato, Metro Vino, Crave and others that I forgot the name. It was fun, informative, delicious, very well organized, great hosts. Learnt a lot about the amazing food happening in Calgary, so super highly recommended!!

The biking tour I did was fairly informative with me learning new facts about the public art I had no idea about previously. I would recommend that if the information was a bit cleaned up then the users would be able to take away more from the tours but that being said, I had a fantastic evening biking around Calgary and learned a bunch of interesting things. As a regular pedestrian/cyclist of the trails and pathways downtown, I was excited to learn more about the pieces seen regularly in passing. We began the night at East Village where our guide explained in detail Light & Soul, a temporary fixture where past meet future. There is significant influence from Indigenous storytelling. Hands forming different shapes from nature (animal, trees, etc) was one of the major themes. Did you know the murals on the underpass are actually vinyl wallpaper? Now you do! We moved up to the large permanent accordion mosaic by Ron Moppet, which is an abstract vision of Alberta's past to future. It's a piece I have missed on my travels since it is on the East side of the overpass, but one of the most colourful on the tour. After that, we visited the head in front of the Bow Tower, the Conversation in Stephen Ave, Chinook Arc in Bob Scott Park (which is interactive), Luminous Crossings at Kerby Station, and Memorial Steel Art. I learned a lot about these pieces I've seen before, and saw things that I hadn't noticed before. The total time on our bikes was around 2 hrs. This was slightly longer than I had anticipated, but we were moving quite slow in order to stick together. If you can pick up the pace with your group, it'd be the perfect length. Jobo met us at our hotel at 8 o'clock sharp and from there we spent the entire day seeing the wonders of the nearby mountains. We saw more in one day than I could have managed in three days, all without being rushed at all. It pays to have someone who is intimately familiar with the area as your guide. Although the information on the signage was more than sufficient, Jobo provided additional color regarding each of the stops. Jobo was very friendly, courteous, and it was an absolute pleasure to be in his company. The vehicle was very clean, stocked with ample water, and very well-maintained. I highly recommend ABest Transport and Tour Services Inc, and their "rider driven" philosophy, which Jobo exemplified. The next time that we are on holiday in Calgary, we know who we will contact for a tour.
