This is a mixed review: I hired Abortech to remove a large…read moretree (Bradford Pear) to trim 2 similar trees, and to remove the tree stump from the tree, all in the front yard. I was VERY happy with the work done by the 2 men who removed the tree, trimmed the 2 others, and CLEANED UP the yard thoroughly after their work was done -- you would never even know that extensive work was done that day. I am, however, EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the tree stump removal (IN THE FRONT YARD!!!). The stump grinding created a great big HOLE in the ground and a HUGE pile of dirt and ground tree stump right next to the hole. He told men that they "never fill in the holes", that's up to the homeowner to do! I am a woman, 77 years old, disabled, and walk, in great pain, with a cane -- and I was left with a great big hole and a huge plle of dirt TO FILL IN MYSELF !! Now I have to find someone to PAY to fill in that hole. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT ARBORTECH NEVER INTENDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB, OR THAT THIS WAS THEIR "STANDARD PRACTICE", I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID (WAAAY TOO MUCH!!!) $425 to have one small-to-medium stump ground!!!! And I am left with an unsightly mess on my front lawn. This was a huge ripoff, and not worth the money.

We were so pleased with the work done by the Mountain Tree Service crew today! They arrived…read morepromptly and removed 10 large spruce trees and trimmed other large maple trees for us. They were very professional and used state of the art equipment with vehicles with buckets and a chipper. They split into crews and were able to tackle the front and the back of our property at the same time. They stacked logs we wanted and neatly left the wood chips we will use in our landscaping and even brought some to our neighbor! They took the time to carefully clean up the areas before leaving. We also appreciated speaking with Barry, an arborist, at our initial meeting to determine how pruned trees would be shaped. He was very knowledgeable and personable. This guy is a scammer. Took a $400 deposit from me & never came over to do the job. Excuse after…read moreexcuse. He initially gave me a quote in Oct 2025 & led me to believe he would be back the following week to do the job. Wanted $600 deposit at first but I said I could only give him $400 thank God or I would be out more. He never answers the phone until you text him then continues to say he is fixing his lift. I gave him until April 30th which is a 6 month timeframe to tell me when he would do the job or return my deposit. He never phoned or texted & I realize that he is not going to give the deposit back or do the job. Stay away from this guy. He comes off as legit but definitely is not.

He came out the same day. He gave me a fair quote for pruning of my trees. He came two days later to do the job. He came in a timely manner, did a thorough job (trees looked so much better), and cleaned up the debris. Paul is extremely friendly and has an outgoing personality. He is highly professional, honest, and takes pride in doing a job well. I would highly recommend his services.
