Wallmans is the only restaurant in Norway that has the concept that the waiters also performs a show during a 5-course dinner.
We booked a table for 12 person in Wallmans. When we arrived we were split into to separate tables. We could not see the stage at all. There was a mini flatscreen tv on the wall but the camera does't rotate so we could only see the part where they camera was pointing. So that was that.
Regarding the 5-course menu being served, we were very disappointed with the food. For starters the first two course were fish, in a very small portion. And the main course was a cheap pork dish!
Unlike a few years ago, you can now unfortunately not get any information about the 5-course menu being served beforehand, and you can no longer choose between two alternative menus. One must take the one menu being served! I'd certainly prefer to be able to choose between alternative menus, or to know in advance what I will be served. Considering how much we payed.
I am left with a mixed feeling. I would say half was good and half was sub par.
We did enjoy the show, atlas the ones we got to see on the screen. The waiters were friendly and entertaining. We ended up playing Heads up, that was way more fun. read more
