I orginally asked for a simple throttle body cleaning and the guy behind the counter said what they…read moredo is shoot some chemistry thru the inlet of the throttle body and i had left with a symptom the car didnt have after they had custody of it..im sitting in the waiting room and i can hear them reving the engine to 5000rpms at least and then i see their person roll out to test drive my property ...he comes back parks the car in the rear to hide their shame ..the guy charged me $182 dollars for 1 hour labor and the chemistry ..so i get int the car after they gave me back my key..i start it ..the idel surges past 2000rpm and throws a check engine light ..and putting it in gear was jolting the whole car cause the idel was stuck at 1500 rpm ..and still has not got any better since a month later and it still thows codes still idels too high ..the did look at it on the original day later in the afternoon ..told me the issue was my MAF sensor and so i replaced it ..they asked for another bite of the apple ..i refused ...cause they seem clueless here and quiet frankly ..they were looking to be in my pocket as deep as they can get ..thanks obrien since you dont know a throttle body relearn ..or to just clean the throttle body ..i now gots to spend 100's of dollars trying to chase down what ever you people did to my car ..dont reply ..just go way like everyone else should ..they always put the blame on the customer ..and isnt that special ..

My wife went for a couple issues. Slow tire leak, right front tire. Balance issue, suspect right…read morefront tire. TPMS sensors both drivers side tires. They fixed all that. Replaced the tire. Sensors working. Balance issue gone. But all the ABS/ traction controls lights and the stabletrak warning are now on. Immediately went back in and told them. They said they couldn't have caused that. They suggested that the lights would go out, just drive it a little way. Drove it a ways, returned, because the lights are still on. Well, you'll have to make an appointment. I note that they didn't notice the lights at all. Not when they started the work. Not when they finished the work. The lights come on immediately with the key. Still in the parking lot. Probably a wiring issue, likely the speed sensor. Just happened to go bad immediately after they fixed the requested items. Maybe the slow tire leak and bad balance were masking the issue, so the car couldn't see it. Maybe the unreadable TPMS sensors weren't allowing the ABS system to see there was a problem. But maybe the most unlikeable thing in the whole event is that they just didn't say "let's make you an appointment right now to see what happened so we can make sure you're safe." What they said is "you'll have to make an appointment." Some other time. On your time. After you call on the phone and wait a half hour while we do other important stuff. When you aren't standing right here where we can just look at our appointment book together and get you the very next convenient appointment. Their attitude was dismissive to a woman who probably didn't know mechanical stuff, they KNOW they didn't do it, and the problem will hopefully just go away. And it probably will.

Just had the worst experience at Wren Tires, formerly known as Cheapie Tires n Granite City right…read morebefore the turn into Madison. They sold me a crappy used tire with a patch and I didn't know it was bad til I bought a new tire since no used tires were in stock for over a week (another reoccurring problem). The tire tech told me that I needed a new tire because this tire he rotated was crap and whoever sold it to you screwed you over and I said the jokes on you because I bought it right here less than two weeks ago which is there time limit for a warranty with a receipt which I had the receipt and showed it was under warranty. But since the two tire techs disagreed - Randy & Shane nothing was offered to be done. Alex instantly got an attitude and was yelling at me which I explained was not customer service and it's implying that you are calling your customer a liar when I've bought 3 tires from them this summer so I'm a good customer that tries to support local business. And working there 10 years changing tired doesn't make you a tire expert. Where are your qualifications, certificates and degrees? Then they offered me a $10 credit towards a new tire when I paid $53 and when I would not agree after 30 minutes then they raised it to $20 which is still unacceptable as they are just tossing out prices and making up numbers. They got super annoyed and frustrated when I called Dobbs at their location to schedule my game plan to get this tire fixed today.I said you wasted enough of my day and I lost hours of o come down here for no reason. I told them by this display of poor service and communication and lack of meeting customers needs I will talk my business elsewhere and I did. I'm at Dobb's in Edwardsville on Hey 157 and they actually had a lower priced tire. Wren tires was $130 and Dobb's is $125 plus free balancing and will even inspect all my tires for free too since they were familiar with the horror stories from cheapies and understood how important my safety is and my concern about driving on a bad tire since I DoorDash all over Madison and St. Clair county and already had a blow out on Hey 203 and a flat in Highland. Plus I'm driving next month to Eureka and will often because it's football season. I should have went here to begin with but I heard they were so expensive. However, I called 7 other tire places and they were all more expensive - Car X being the highest and all of them would of had to order it which takes 1-3 more days (even Wren Tires plus you pay 1/2 upfront) plus that's another reason to have to take time off work and risk driving longer on the bad tire. Dobb's already had it in stock and are friendly, give out their names, prompt (fit me in when they originally had no appointments) after they heard my horror story of what I have endured since 11am today. In fact, Wren Tires heard me talking to Dobbs which escalated them both but I was already waiting on a call back from owner or seeing about a better deal as they put my tires back on the at to drive off . Alex sarcastically said in her exaggerated, flair for drama way, "you've been here over an hour and you need to leave now" so how is that for a way to run a business and use your customer service skills to promote your small business. Actually It was because they were less expensive anyway and if I have to buy a new tire and I have faith in them and have had good luck with them before but tried staying local until Wren Tires disappointed me and took advantage of me so it is not worth the aggravation. They are going through employees like toilet paper. Every time I went they were like that person got fired or quit, etc. There is always a new face. But I'm supposed to take them at their word and trust them, that's a hard no. Their waiting room is sketchy and not well ventilated or you can sit on a hot metal picnic table that is directly in the sun. That's there hospitality. Avoid them at all costs. They will tell you lies just to take your money and then make excuses to not use your warranty. They don't even deserve one star. In addition, the used tires I bought this summer need to be replaced in the next few month before winter because they only work 40% wet. They also broke my tire sensor installing my new tire last Saturday and refused to accept responsibility for it. I will get that at my mechanic because it is higher at Dobbs. Thank goodness for BG Automotive. Now I know who I can trust and who do I need to go see outside this town for quality and professional service.And will honor same tire price when IThey don't know what they are talking about and just push off tires on you do they get paid even if they are no good and have a patch on them. They are an eyesore and a running a scam in this community. Buyer beware or honestly just don't go there. Wren Tires does not deserve your business and you don't deserve their treatment of customers so save your money and increase your safety by going elsewhere.

They replaced the washer and ran the car for 15 mins to check for leaks and fixed the issue. And at the end, there was no charge! The main draw was that they are open Saturdays, but after a very good experience, I'll definitely go back. The technician with 55 years experience identified the problem immediately when driving my car, even though no one could see it visually - this is why you go to a professional - and the manager promptly ordered parts and gave me the price upfront. Parts took a while to come in (not their fault), and when I returned to have the work done - again on a Saturday as that's the only day I'm not at work - it was done promptly, correctly, and at a fair price. I trust them with my cars, and that says a lot.

Meineke put my life in danger by not doing the jobright and caused damage to my brake pad and cost me money having replace this stuff all over again. But before I had work redone I took it back to meineke for third time and even told them I took it to another shop the axles loose and the rotor is grinding please fix it. they came.back told me nothing's wrong you may need new struts this after taking it three times being told.nothing was wrong They refused to fix it said nothing was wrong there work was tight. So again I went back to obriens for a second time and had them lift it up on the lift and I had video recording of how loose the axle was you could literally moved it with your hand back and forth. I called meineke and I said I have video now showing that work you did was wrong will you please fix what you messed up they told me no I trust my mechanic over you and hung up on me. So I missed out on money working cause they couldn't fix my car right I had pay to replace the cvs axle t and i had replace rotor a second time. Stay clear of here I need speak to owner about getting reimbursed for cost of having to pay to have this done right there is no excuse for this poor work that was done on my car. Probably the worst experience I've ever had working with a car dealership. Top to bottom horrible…read moreservice. Where to even begin... First we waited hours for the business mgr to finalize the transaction (2023 Nissan Altima 50,000 miles), only to drive home in the dark and discover the car hadn't been cleaned out - let alone detailed - after being told it would be. Also absent was the extended warranty document, which we were also assured we'd be given. I had to call multiple times to finally have that sent. Multiple issues with the car were then discovered over the next couple days - this after being assured by the salesman that it had passed a rigorous certification process/inspection and that the dealership "wouldn't sell a car that wasn't safe, road ready, or in need of a bunch of work." It was like I was an idiot for even asking. Well, low and behold, the following issues were all identified by two separate mechanics days after bringing it home: 1) Dead battery (which I unfortunately discovered while out running errands:() , 2) Completely Shot brakes on front and back, 3) bent front left axle causing bumping sound, 4) back passenger sensor/electronics failure. 5) On top of all of this, they sold the car with 4 mismatched tires, which was something my mechanic said should never be done on modern cars other than as a very short term fix. I didn't realize it at the time. When I called the dealer with these concerns, the salesman mainly wanted to argue with me, saying most of these were "wear and tear" issues the dealer wasn't responsible for. On the brakes, he quoted some supposed internal initial inspection report, saying there was still 6-8 mm or something left on the brake pads - this despite the fact that I sent him video from another dealer/mechanic showing there was no pad left. Fortunately, the car came with the Ford Blue Choice 3 month warranty, so I felt I had at least some kind of recourse/protection. Anyway, the salesman eventually told me to bring the car back so they could look at it. The repair supervisor then called me back that afternoon with a quote of around $2000+ to replace the front and back brakes and battery. The "good news " was the bent front axle would be covered under the extended warranty. Yeah! I, of course, would still have to pay the $100 warranty deductible. When I demanded that the brakes and battery be replaced without additional cost to me, the matter was escalated to the manager (whom I had unsuccessfully attempted to contact previously by the way.) I was then told by the service coordinator that the mgr had agreed to replace the battery and back brakes only, insisting that the front brakes were still ok...(Really? So then why were you going to have me pay to replace them?!) .As far as the mismatched tires were concerned, the salesperson scoffed and said a 2023 car was perfectly safe with 4 mismatched tires, and the different tread patterns etc., would have zero impact on the cars internal components or drivability. Both of them acted like they had done me some kind of favor and I should be grateful. I asked to talk directly to the manager. There was of course no one to be found, but I was assured he would call me back asap. I was so pissed off at the whole crappy experience that I paid the $100 warranty deductible and left. I, then, over the next month tried to get in contact with the manager. He finally called one afternoon while I was in a meeting and left a message, stating that he was on his way out the door but would get back to me asap. Yeah right. Nothing. I called multiple times after, always being assured by whomever I spoke with that the mgr would call me back pronto. Never happened. During all of this, I was still able to text with the sales person, who would answer eventually and also told me repeatedly the the mgr would call me. When I asked the salesperson about still needing the back passenger sensor replaced, he stated, "there is no way you would know that it went out." I said, "it shows right on the front dash!" He then gave me the 800 number for the blue choice warranty program and told me to take it to a Nissan dealer for the repair... Anyway, I've given up on this place. Terrible. Embarrassing. Sad. I'd never go back there. Ever.
