Overcrowded, poorly stocked, and nasty employees. Was looking for a pair of sandals in a brand they've always carried but I didn't see on the racks. I walked up to an employee in the shoe section and said 'excuse me?' to get her attention. She literally glared at me and shot back 'what.' I was honestly taken aback but stumbled through asking for the brand I was looking for, to which she answered 'well did you look? if you don't see it we don't have it.' Then she glared at me again, this time like I'd personally killed her puppy, and ignored me quietly saying thanks and that I just wanted to make sure I hadn't looked in the wrong place. I decided to move on quickly least she decide to come after me with one of the few shoes they did have in stock, but yeesh. Also you have to request service to get some items by pressing a button- I was waiting for almost ten minutes before I just gave up and decided to take my business to Albertsons across the street. They don't open many registers, at the the self check out only 4 registers are open and the associates that are in charge of self check out make you feel like you are stealing items when you scan them and pay for them. They give you attitude if they have to go and get your money if the self check out machines didn't give it to you. If someone could walk her out, she felt a little threatened and afraid. Your managers reply with several employees standing around .her response was"she didn't have anybody available to do that " I find that highly ridiculous that a woman would be denied being escorted and assisted with her groceries specially, when the lights in the parking lot were off and several transient outside not to mention, my wife is handicap! Kind young man named Kevin heard the conversation and assisted my wife to her vehicle out of the kindness of his heart ! Kevin is an outstanding employee who should be rewarded for stepping up and taking care of a situation, on the other hand Lisa needs to be reprimanded For the attitude,,she delivered the lack of compassion towards a handicap customer!!! Do not order Walmart on-line! I'm a shopper and when you order on-line it's basically ordering blind.. You count on the picture and descriptions to get an idea of what you are ordering. But there quality control of the seller's they have on-line is horrible, because what's pictured and described is not what you receive nor are the sizes reliable... And if you think that you can just return items unlimited, not used and within return times you are wrong, out of no where they will de-activate your account and you no longer can return any of your existing purchases or order on-line at all because of "violating on-line returns" with no explanation as to what that means!! Alfred at Customer Service is extremely attentive, courteous, and patient. His name badge said he's been with the company 15 years. He had customers he was tending to, people asking him questions coming straight outta the can, the employee working next to him only processed Return transactions, the line began forming slowly, people in line were getting miffy. etc. Alfred processed my Return/Rebuy, kindly walked me through the transaction, and told me my online pick up was in the Garden Center (I didn't know!). The staff here are pretty amazing and one of the more nifty Walmarts around. The Employees in the self checkout section are so helpful and super patient as well as are the Garden Center online order crew. One night a few months ago, a few hours before closing, a customer started a fight with an Employee and it was unfolding right before me. It got heated real quick! I saw it and I was mortified. I wanted to get out of there so fast, I forgot some stuff and will never go to Walmart at night ever again. Another time I saw an elderly Employee exit the public restroom without washing her hands. And the odor that emanated from the stall that she came out of was rank! Like, I'm talking porta pottie rank but from a human body, an alive one, too! Again, mortified. Ordered tires weeks in advance to be sure I had them installed before we went on a long road trip. The day before the installation I revecived an update saying there was "a delay". I proceeded to call the store and the man on the phone in the Tire "Service" Center was three things: 1. Annoyed and upset I had the nerve to call and ask a question. 2. Useless. After being on hold for 10 minutes he said he didn't know anything and had no idea if the tires would be available the following day. 3. Rude. Extremely extremely poor customer service. Sat on the phone for 30 minutes after being told that there was 1 item left on the self and I asked if they could confirm they had the product in stock. Was transferred 3 items to the toy department just to be told by an employee that "they don't check shelves for products and that I'd have to come in myself" like HUH? Then was immediately transferred and placed on hold for another 7 minutes after I asked the extremely rude employee for her name. When transferred again the other employee basically said they had no idea if they even sold the product and that she didn't know who had transferred the call when I asked for the rude employee's name. This review is for JODY ! I got a red long t-shirt that was on the clearance rack and there was only one. Unfortunately, that one didn't have a tag on it. I took one some what similar to the one I got but it was a bit more of an upgrade because it had pockets. It was 9 $ so I just took it because I didn't want to be a hassel and have them bending over backwards because it was REALLY BUSY. I was in line and the line was super long but JODY was quick and I explained my issue and she looked up my item I wanted really quick and it was 3.00$ haha she told me it wasn't an issue and even asked if I was ok with the price I said yes ! The male sales associate with glasses who works (sorry, I never catch his name) the curbside pickup is the best. Walmart curbside pickup feels more of a personal service than Target. Worst customer service with Christmas returns. The rules that apply to Walmart online orders are ridiculous. The lead manager by the name of Alysia cannot help but to direct a return back to the 1800walmart line although my product was shipped and purchased via Walmart directly. She immediately said that I damaged and opened the box. She also said that LEGO purchases have other rules. She assumed I was just going to walk away but I asked her to look my order up and see that I was correct. Never once, did she even look at my receipt until I asked her to. Also, I was sent to her by the other clerk who told me he, could not approve my exchange, that she had the last word and I better hurry up because they close at 9pm! What? My goodness, I felt like they thought I was a liar or was trying to get away with a fraud return. Alysia was very attentive when she realized that I was not giving up. I asked her for the corporate number and told her I could not believe that a company as big as Walmart had so many rules. I want to see the rules in writing that state I cannot exchange a box of LEGO. I feel she wanted to Rush me out if the store, I think she could have exchanged the item and charged it back to the vendor but she did not want to. Think it was a Tug of War for her because she knew I was being honest or perhaps she wanted to push her authority and keep her NO. I don't know but It's very unfortunate that Walmart takes broken, opened, no receipts returns but won't do an exchange for an honest person, who has their receipts. after I asked her to look up my order and verify that it truly came from Walmart. I purchase car tires from Walmart online and went to Brea store to have just one mounted and balanced. I carried the old and new tire in and after 3+ hours they refused to mount it. They said they couldn't do it because I said it was for a trailer, it is a car tire that is on my Jet-Ski tailer and that is the way it came (the trailer) was when I purchased it new. So I have 8 more tires to order and will have to go to Tire Rack or online tires or any other tire shop. I will never step foot in that Walmart ever again. You know I'm desperate when I'm coming to Wal-Mart. I figured that hey it is the last day to go and get pumpkins but they are a big company so they must have some left.
