I remember eons ago when they wanted to build this store, all the political leaders said it would be a boon for the local economy. And many of us that supported the local mom and pops pleaded with them not to allow the building of this monstrosity, because we knew it would lead to the slow decline of all things good and local. Yes, initially it was a nice store, and yes it was convenient. But the short and long term impact it had on the local business were horrendous. All the great little shops on Main Street in Millville and Landis in Vineland that were starting to recover from the previous recession all closed up shop as they could not compete with the ultra low Walmart pricing. And now Walmart is run now, pays shitty wages, gives nothing back to the economy and has destroyed the local economy. And we certainly didnt need a 2nd mega store down the street putting pressure on our local ShopRites and Acme that pay decent wages. This Walmart doesn't even sell alot of the nice stuff they used to sell, since they market to the local economy. I was shocked to see how grisly their offerings were after not being there for a long time. If I could go back in time, I would have encouraged the local leaders to push harder and reject this disaster from ever being built. read more

I spent two nights parked in this particular Walmat's lot and I am thankful that this Walmart tolerates overnight parking. Many of the Walmarts in New Jersey do not. So thanks for that. However, the men's room here was atrocious. I would recommend avoiding using the toilets here. The rest of the store? Decently stocked for a Walmart that is NOT a Supercenter. They do not have most of the fresh stuff here and a limited grocery section. Sure, they have electronics and clothing and personal care and housewares. I spent some time going through the DVD's that they have for sale, then I placed those DVD's into one of Walmart's blue carry baskets. I then went looking for some clothes to buy. I placed the blue basket, with the DVD's in it, on top of a fitting room front desk, which was not in use, so that I could free-up my hands to try on clothes. Some unknown Walmart store employee then saw the blue carry-basket with DVD's in it, took the DVD's out of that basket, and walked away with them -I'm guessing, to then place the DVD's back on the shelves and bins. By the time I returned to that blue basket, the DVD's were gone from it, and replaced with clothes. Note to Walmart store employees: Would you stop walking around like brainless zombies and start thinking? Maybe those DVD's were left in that blue basket by someone who also wants to buy some clothes, namely -me, who put that basket down, just temporarily. You don't care, though. Your manager didn't train the subordinates to think, instead of walking around, like robots. This Walmart store gets multiple bad reviews, for good reasons. It's store employees are walking around, thinking about what Kim Kardashian is wearing, today, and about their phones, instead of thinking about doing their job, well. Aren't Walmart managers held accountable for their employees, by regional managers and Walmart corporate headquarters? This is about poor employee training. Zombie-like, indifferent store employees (Not all Walmart employees, but a lot of them) who know that they'll get paid, regardless of whether or not they do a horrible job, or a great job, so there's no incentive for them to do a great job. Dozens of people wanting to check out being forced to SF check out with only one real register open. Walmart. Is trying so hard to get rid of good hard working people and make shoppers do the work. Try and find a employee to help you find an item or get a questioned answered. I avoid this store unless I am in absolute need. With the opening of the Super Wal-Mart in Vineland that is open 24 hours, I don't think I've returned to this one. The store has always been too small for the location. The help is usually non-existent in the aisles. Those that are there have not been particularly helpful to me. The check-out experience is horrific. Long lines are handled by folks who seem to have no interest in speeding things up. There was a push to have customers use the self check-out lanes, but the clientele does not seem to have what it takes to make that a speedy option. Parking seems a bit too crowded. It has always seemed difficult to negotiate out of this lot. There is little done to prevent folks from sitting in the fire lanes. Millville is not served well by this store. read more

Trying to purchase a money order and neither of the two ladies behind the counter know how to refill the machine and the supervisor dropped the box of refills on the counter and walked away. Poor customer service! read more

It's disheartening to see such negative reviews about this place. The prices are SO LOW compared to other stores in the area. Target is just across the street and you will pay $4 more for any name-brand face or body wash. I always come here to grab toiletries and things for the bathroom. This is possibly one of the worst Walmart stores I've ever had to deal with.Honestly I've dealt with a few managers and they were very courteous and respectful,but some of the employees were unhelpful and a bit rude to say the least.Not a very welcoming atmosphere at all.Never deal with their electronics department,totally useless.Ive had several very negative experiences here.My advice,find somewhere else to shop. read more

Photo center is garbage. First, only one of four 1 hour photo machines were working. Then, I ordered 300 prints and received a text saying that my prints were ready. I waited until noon the next day to pick them up and the cashier said that he did not have any time to cut the access paper off of the pictures yet. He proceeded to look at me as if I were just going to pay the $100 and cut them myself. I asked him that my cutter at home will take me a long time to cut all of those pictures.. Then he said, so will his cutter. I then asked, if he was not going to cut them in store,, could I get a discount on the photos and then I will be willing to take them as they were. He laughed and said that he will do them. He wanted to slide unfinished photos to me, but when I wanted a discount to be compensated for the work that they did not do, he decided to change his mind. I do not mind waiting for my photo projects from Walmart; however, I would like the notifications that they are done to be correct. They were not finished when I got the notification saying that they were done. read more

Walmart is Walmart. That said, it was clean and organized. It is a bit tight compared to the Super Walmart off Landis, but its still a good place to shop if you need to run in and out for something. My wife and I came to restock what we used at my in-laws house. Found all items we were looking for (and then some) relatively quickly. Also these Walmarts are empty compared to the ones in SoCal which I loved cause SoCal is so overpopulated! A-ok Walmart with me! read more

This Walmart seems to go out of its way not to price match anything, or all the other Walmat's I have ever shopped at are loosing the company money. They would not price-match a gallon of milk because they only sold their store brand milk, which was not being sold at Walgreens. I always thought whole milk was whole milk, but maybe the Walmart milk at this store must be extra SPECIAL. Don't waste your time shopping here if you can go the extra couple of miles to the Vineland Walmart, they never have questioned price-matching simple items like milk. read more
