This is BY FAR the worst grocery store in Riverton. They never have enough staff, they're always…read moreout of product in their meat dept by 5PM with no good excuse, they often have expired product (breads mostly), on the shelves, and it's the most expensive grocery in Riverton. I've never seen more than 2 cashiers at one time... most of the time there is only one with about 6 people in line.

Alllll of the prices are marked up, wayyy up and then "slashed" if you use your Safeway card. (and I use the term "Slashed" lightly. Think $6 for a container of Crystal Light drink mixes, then discounted 25 cents with your card. STILL too expensive!) I hate grocery stores that do this. Quit making me give you my personal information just to shop in your store. (I think this trend will die out in the upcoming years though...it's already pretty much dead in Minneapolis). ANYWAY... You need to get a Safeway card here. Even if you are just passing through town and don't have a Safeway store in your hometown (like me) GET THE DAMN CARD. Yes, it's a hassle but it does save you *some* money. The store is clean and it's "pretty" like most Safeways I've been to on the East Coast. However, if you want to save money, go across the street to the Super Wal-Mart and shop there. ...I still can't get over their prices. Think...$6 for a box of General Mills cereal...

In fact they didn't tell me they could not fill it when I dropped it off. Instead they made me wait another day before starting. Palace Pharmacy filled the Script. Took my payment over the phone, and I was able to make arrangements to have it picked up since I live 30 miles away in Riverton.,

I contacted this Pharmacy after not getting the help I was looking for from Lander's box store…read morePharmacy. I spoke with several people at the Pharmacy, all of whom were very polite, including the Pharmacist Nina. I was hoping to have some OTC meds set aside for a relative attending the NOLS WEMT course and Nina was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating - walking me through what meds might be needed based on various symptoms, allowing me to pay for the meds over the phone, and making arrangements to set them aside for pick up. If you have any Pharmacy needs while in Lander, I urge you to go to Palace Pharmacy. Their customer service cannot be beat!

At least the aisles are full of happy employees that didn't seem to mind if you interrupted them to find an item. I found each department to be extremely organized, stocked, and clean. I even developed photos for a gift using the very simple photo booth machine. The customer service ladies made my life easy by downloading the WAL-MART app. At the end of each purchase use the app to take a picture of the bar code. Now there is a record of purchase without saving your paper receipts. We were a bit surprised there was never a wait time to check out here, Magic. A+ All around the house WAL-MART!
