I don't usually go to this Walmart, but it was the closest one to where I was already. I have been here before, so I had high hopes, but I was wrong. There were mystery boxes and packets open everywhere. There was no one helping me. I was trying to find items yet no one asked me for help. There were aisles with empty shelves aisles were messy. Most things weren't even in the right spots though there were the good sides which was that there wasn't long lines and the guy at the exit was nice and friendly and seemed happy with his job. Would I go here again when in the area? probably only if I need an item asap, but not if I just want the item? I did feel quite betrayed because when I use to go here in the past it wasn't this bad. read more

At 0620; went thru newly configured self checkout registers and watched a gentleman walk thru with cart ful of garden center supplies. Did not bag in the area at self checkout, walked down to where the cashiers registers were than bag his items. Employee asked did you scan; man replied yeah down there. This store used to be great. Then a decision was apparently made to "upgrade" the search app. if there was one thing I could always depend on on it was the app leading me to the location of items I had been looking for in the store. In the last three weeks or so, if you search for things like tuna fish, after literally 5-6 telson the screen, the apps directs you to the Candy aisle. It appears to work very, if you are trying to get items delivered with a 2-3 day delay. "If it's working don't fix it." My final comment: before you roll out an upgrade, TEST IT!! Came in for some cleaning supplies and stuff for the fur babies, love the selections. The place is pretty clean when you arrive early enough. Parking is good as well early in the morning. Found all the stuff I needed. The only problem I had is they were restocking and the cart was right in the middle of the isle so I couldn't get around and when I asked if they could move over just a little they looked at me weird. Just came back to isle later and they were done. Got my stuff and left. The good thing is the women's restrooms are for women. read more

So I bought medicine for my cat the other day, when I got home I discovered I'd bought an empty box for $15.98 I went the next day to request an exchange or a refund as one would expect a business to do This is how it went. Let's just say this is the worst Walmart alive. Once I tried to return apple juice that I purchased and when I got home it was impossible to open. Being that I work I didn't have the pleasure of going to Walmart to return it the next morning and only could go when it was convenient for me, which was about 5 days later. When I went to customer service section there was a LONG line and people returning a plethora of items! Even someone was able to return a shoe rack out of a plastic trash bag (see photo attached) and for some unexplainable reason I couldn't return my Apple juice. The one hoot and hollered about how she couldn't allow me to return this. It was absolutely ridiculous that I couldn't return and item that wouldn't open when people can return a box or bag of food or makeup that they didn't like. So I decided to call the manager of the store and as I explained to him he hung up the phone on me! Then I called back and the woman who was supposed to get me back through to the manager, hung up the call after she placed me on hold. Nonetheless, I called Walmart headquarters filed a complaint and the sent me to the lovely Potomac Mills Walmart and I was able to make my return there!!! However just yesterday, I needed to return an router that I purchased at a different location, I arrived and the employee had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't return a router that was purchased less than 24 hours ago!! Absolutely nonsense! Another employee overheard her foolishness and issued my return! This Walmart is terrible! Not only the employees but also the unprofessional management. Oh, and even if you only have just a pack of gum in your bag, you will have to have your receipt checked. Smh! read more

This time, I only came for water but it was well stocked and the product was available for purchase, this is unlike the Walmart near my house! This location constantly practices and implements racial profiling tactics when shopping at this location. I've been shopping at this location for years. This started happening durum the pandemic and hasn't stopped since. This deplorable tactic takes place when customers opt to use self-checkout. They watch and profile customers as they wait in line to use the designated register at checkout. It's palpable and evident when you notice that only a small number of registers are operational while others aren't. Management is aware of what's happening; they allow asset management and other associates to violate folk's civil rights without proper probable cause. The associates in this area blatantly guide and heard customers to open registers that are positioned so they can watch your every move as if they're tracking shoplifters to make the sure the items in your baskets are payed for prior to exiting the self-checkout. I've protested this on so many occasions. I've contacted corporate about it and nothing has changed. Walmart blatantly allows these practices to take place at stores where the customers are people of color-specifically folks of African decent. Don't spend your money at store number 3588. An investigation is well overdue. read more

I do not understand why Wal-Mart corporate refuses to answer to or respond to customer complaints. Is it because the receive so much other business that they do not fee that it is worth their time to respond? I am concerned with the number of dog being allowed into their store, being placed into the customers carts and being paraded through the produce section of their stores. The carts do not get cleaned afterwards. I truly hope that no one gets sick or contracts any ailments that might be directly related to food that came in contact with the hair, dirt or other filth from the animals left in these shopping carts. read more

I ordered on line for pick up. I arrived and there was no sign or indication of where to pick up. I went inside and after 30 min they told me where to go around the back of the bldg. while I was there they changed status to "order delivered". I had not picked up anything. When I finally did get my order, they didn't even check my ID. I will never go there again. read more

This is a horrible place to shop. Then I had the audacity to ask an employee for assistance, then point had no clue what I was asking her she new enough English to tell me I needed to go ask somebody else and directed me to her manager. Another employee, who spoke English quite well, attempted to assist me and then told me there was no other location for the summer item I was looking for - that the few items they had in a very tiny spot on a side wall was all they had. I just knew that had to be wrong. There is no way that Walmart wouldn't have a larger selection. I walked down a few aisles and there was an entire aisle full of the stuff that I was looking for. Slow cashiers or no cashiers. One cashier didn't have her light on and then stood there and complained to one of her customers that we in line couldn't tell that she was closed because her light was off. Do you know how many times Walmart cashiers don't turn their light on and then say yeah they're open? Too many to count! The lines are six or seven people deep. I was told I could go to the self-checkout. I don't get paid by Walmart. I'm not an employee of Walmart. I shouldn't have to check myself out!! read more

In line for 10-15 minutes. A woman comes by and tells the cashier he is closed, turned off his light and proceeded to tell the rest of us in line that we needed to go to another line. What store treats their customers like that? The guy in front of me is taken to another register but I am told that she is only ringing him up. So I'm back to the end of the line? Yikes, what's up with the bad reviews? This is actually one of the nicer Walmart that I've been to. Stopped by on a Sunday night to pick up some Starbucks coffee for work. Finding the coffee was a challenge as I expected it to be with the creamers and milk but they are stored with the yogurt..doesn't make any sense to me. A few employees saw me walking back and forth but didn't ask me if I needed help or really even acknowledged me. I used the self-check-out and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. I can't comment on how busy the store is in the afternoon/weekends but it was pretty empty when I went and parking was super easy. P.S. They also have a subway inside so you can grab a fresh sammy if you're feeling peckish post grocery shopping. read more

This review is specifically about the pharmacy in this Walmart Supercenter. My husband and I were lucky enough to sign up for COVID vaccines at the Woodbridge location. The entire pharmacy staff was friendly, helpful, and reassuring as they checked us in and administered our J&J shots. We were very impressed with their kindness, competence, and humanity. Special thanks to the pharmacy manager Carl Woelfel and Richard for checking us in and answering our questions the night before our appointment, and to Ms. Lee for administering our shots early the next morning. This place is.... extremely bright...crowded....the people are terrible.....I remember going through a checkout line and having it take forever because the woman was ON THE PHONE while working....She then *finally* checked us out....handed me the cough drops we had bought....and then proceeded to YELL at me because I had 'snatched' it from her....My jaw literally dropped! Probably one of the better Walmarts around here. It's generally always clean and well lit. Product selection is pretty good. As most Walmarts go this one on weekends is a mad house. I found if you come before 8a Saturdays the store will be empty (see photo). Good luck if you come later than that. Don't expect customer service (like at most Walmarts) it's kind of non existent . But it's Walmart you shop for the price, not because their employees are just so enchanting. I give it a three star rating , better than most around here unless you want to travel south of here. read more

Lowering my rating down to a 1.5, but I rounding down to a one. More times than not, this Walmart seems to be missing the mark. I mean they used to be fairly good for this area's standards. But after being here several times, there are several flaws. One issue is non-existent customer service. I've seen cardboard cutouts with more personality and willingness to help. No one is willing or happy to help. In addition, the cashiers are SLOW! They used to move at a fair and convenient pace, but once those self-checkouts were added, I had to wait in lines of three people that took 35 minutes on average. Pro Tip: Use self-checkout always, unless you pass a register with no line. I am always furious, because, without fail, my wait exceeds 30 minutes and there was only three customers in front of me. Another issue I have is the hard to find or non-existent products. Since employees rarely help, I am left alone to find products. Almost always, I ask where a product is located and I get some unconfident response or an "I don't work in this department, ask so-and-so.". Then I'm left alone to find so-and-so, like I know them. You see these things may be common in Woodbridge, but I can go to their local competitor or another Wal-Mart. There are other people more willing to work and are happy to help see their company or customer loyalty succeed. I would not recommend this place to others! I don't come to this Walmart too often, only when I'm in the area getting my car serviced at Lindsey Chevrolet which is down the road from this location. I've been needing the Walmart brand water filter for my Walmart brand water pitcher. I was thrilled when I saw they had them!! Of course, I purchased more than one. I also picked up a few groceries as well. I went through self check out. When I got home and unpacked my items I noticed the bag I had put the filters in wasn't there. Ran to my car thinking I had over looked it. There were other personal toiletries in the same bag. I was so upset at what I had done. Also the fact that this Walmart isn't close to my home, about 25 minutes away. However, I wasn't wasting $40 for merchandise I didn't have. I grab my receipt and back to the store I go. I spoke with the attendant that was in the self check out area advising her of my error and which register I used. Well the bag wasn't turned in. I guess the person behind me may have taken it. I was directed to customer service and at this point I'm thinking, oh well I'm out of $40 bucks. The young lady who assisted me took my receipt and said she would be back. She came back without my receipt and stated they're looking for it. Again, I'm thinking Oh well!! A gentleman came from the back with my receipt in hand and stated to her, no she didn't get her bag. Not certain how he knew that because I even commented to the lady before she went to the back, if you're going to look at your cameras, I originally had on a black T-shirt now I have on a black tank top. She indicated they wouldn't be able to tell from cameras. Any who... I was able to go back and pick up those items that were in the bag. It took me a minute as I'm not familiar with where things are located in this particular store. I brought the items to the service desk and the lady verified what I had picked up in relation to what was on my receipt. She was very apologetic for the issue and I advised no need to apologize as it was MY mistake. I wish I gotten her name. I really appreciate how this issue was handled and I will indeed frequent this Walmart store more often. read more

NEED MORE SETS OF KEYS!! This is now the second time in the last month that i have come to this location and they have wasted AT LEAST 30 minutes of my time because the 10 people that I've asked don't have keys to open up a case i need something out of or to the fitting room. This time after everyone I've asked were completely useless(Including supervisors and management) , after waiting over 30 minutes, one lady appears in this section and walks pasts me SEVERAL times looking frustrated and waiting in front of the fitting room, thinking everyone was already looking for the key i hesitated to ask her until i see a key in her hand and I had to ASK HER if by any chance those keys go to the fitting room, and guess what.. they did. I am starting to notice a trend at the Walmart in Dumfries Virginia. Every time I go in there I find food that is expired more than a week. This last time I found an entire section of yogurt that expired more than a week prior. I pointed it out to one of the women working in the area as you slammed it down and didn't say a word. I've also noticed expired bread and milk. I've seen food that's been discarded on shelves and then returned to the refrigeration. I hope somebody from the corporate office will secretly come in and audit this store. read more

The most racist place I've ever been! I was looking for a few items, turned into TWO different aisles where a spanish man and woman were stocking. I asked where the items were, AFTER they finished on their phones BOTH told me "No Habla" laughed then went BACK to their phones! Seriously!??! Two registers were open one with blinking light. Some kid was walking around with keys and when cashier asked for help: "not my job." Well, FIND out whose job it is! Typical manager, walking around doing nothing and when there's a problem disappear. HAD to stop because nothing else was open. I stood in line, two WHITE people came up behind me, a BLACK man came into the line and the cashier TURNED on her light! I asked her why it took her over 5 minutes to turn on her light to let people know she was open. Her reply: I ONLY deal with CERTAIN people! If I hadn't been almost finished with my transaction I would have walked out but credit card was already in the machine. Older Black woman name starts with "M" with some "s" couldn't tell because she took it off when I walked over to GET her name. NEVER AGAIN! I had to calm down before writing this review to AVOID saying what I really thought. This place has gotten so much worse. Actually I am not a big fan of Wal-marts but this one is right across the street so it's hard to not run there for things. There isn't too much there and the selection of things isn't great. The kitchen appliance section didn't have a lot to pick from. I think some of the employees are really nice but most of them are rude. They don't seem very helpful either. The food obviously wouldn't be my first choice and it isn't that great. Their prices are competitive for frozen food and juices which is good. It's very disorganized especially the right side of the store and doesn't seem to have change since I got here. read more

I have to say that I absolutely love this Walmart now that it was been expanded to a Super Walmart. It is very clean and I now can do all my grocery shopping in one place and I save more money and time because of it. The 4 star rating is due to the fact that now that it has been expanded there are A LOT more people flocking to the store than before and the employees there have not been 'upgraded' to accommodate the fact that they have more customers and the employees fit the 'Dumfries/Hoodbridge' stereotype. This isn't a bad Walmart. Now bear in mind I am new to the area...and have been to numerous Walmarts where I would never venture again. This one was ok. I shopped there in the middle of the day and it wasn't too busy. I found everything on my list. My only issue is the produce section is not the best. I wanted salad mix and they were already browning. So I bought the more expensive mix which looked better. Overall if I need to, I will go back. Plus now Walmart has that app where you scan your receipt and they check the prices at other stores...and you receive the difference. You really can't beat that. read more
