They are overdoing the self checkouts. There are some of us who do not use them. I usually shop here at least once a week and there is never more than 1 checkout to accommodate those of us who prefer not to do self checkout. Today again there was 1 checkout of which Joan was handling. The line had 6 of us lined up. Joan is a cute and very personable older gal but she should not be at the register. She is extremely slow and her personality could be used in another position. She handled my order very well but I stood in line 30 mins before and after my order was finished. Bought a Hoover board from Walmart online and it was miss delivered by ShenZhenShi GD the worst delivery company ever. This has happened several times in the past. We posted signs on our house with instructions for delivery because of so much theft and we have had a lot of packages end up missing. ShenZhenShi GD drivers can't read and will leave the package against the sign with instructions. This company will not let you leave a review It's terrible. Please Walmart get rid of ShenZhenShi GD for deliveries Bad Company It is impossible for them to make a good delivery, drivers can't read. Needs new management! On one occasion an employee harassed me at the family restroom with my 3 children. We were waiting for the family restroom and we checked the door and thought no one was in there and an employee came out chewed me out for accidentally opening the door which was not locked. He called me a pedofile and said I was trying to look at his d*ck. Direct quote should be on camera. I reported him to management and loss prevention and they apologized and I asked management to call me which they never did. I noticed this same employee is still working there. They should've fired him. On another occasion I returned something I bought online that was not working and I bought the protection plan with it and the lead manager Vanessa right away told me I needed to call them to file a claim but I had just bought the item and I did not want it. She finally understood and proceeded with the refund but did not refund my $5 protection plan. I had to chat with Walmart online and they told me it was not processed and they did it for me. If corporate is reading this you need an overhaul of management at this store. They are not providing good customer service. read more

I live in the neighboring community and this is my local . Walmart Since they remodeled this Walmart, I have a few complaints, but my biggest complaint is the new pick up location for online orders! Once you pick up your online order, the only way out of the parking lot is making a left-hand turn at the signal where all the cars are coming into the store. I wonder how many accidents have to happen before they can fix this as for me I will be going to the store where my safety is my concern. Whoever made this decision, didn't think it through and don't care about the safety of there customers. ! read more

Yasmin Team Lead, provided OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR US! We purchased a set of glider rocking chairs last week on clearance. When we got home we realized that one was broken. Today, we returned the broken one to to customer service and the lady there told us that there was nothing she could do but just refund us the money and we would have to buy another one at full price. Enter YASMIN, our Christmas holiday hero from Walmart ! She was in the clearance section (actually she's in charge of it and does an amazing job because everything looks so nice and organized) After hearing our story, she went up to the customer service desk and allowed us to purchase a new one for the Clearance price which was very only fair to us as customers. I really want to acknowledge her for her outstanding professionalism and customer service. This is a nice Walmart And it's near our house so we will probably keep coming for different things. this is a really good Walmart location. I am a big fan of the orange juice selection they have at this location. Me and all of my friends really love drinking orange juice. I even mix it in with a little 7-Up impossible a little vanilla ice cream when I want to have myself a little dessert or a little treat. It is so tasty and so good in this Walmart location has so many different kinds it makes it really easy for me to get the stuff I need. I love the orange juice that has the calcium added in it. It has the blue top typically and that is definitely one of my favorites I bought a cell phone from this Walmart as well and my son loved it. I couldn't afford to get him an iPhone but this was a really nice Walmart phone that he enjoyed read more

Horrible customer service bought fish here didn't survive 12 hours my wife brings them back they refunded 2.00 instead of the 12.00 owed then sent back to pick new fish after waiting 15 minutes an no one showing up I track someone down and they call again 10 minutes later I'm done. I would not recommend this walmart. I would not buy anything live from there their fish are very poorly taken care of. They always have more employees on break than working a damn register. My very disabled mom went into Walmart and as she was leaving 3 men who seemed to be undercover employees stopped her to search her bags and were very rude to her and she almost fell over during them searching her grocery bags because she was in a lot of pain from her hip and then they accused her of being on something. They also did not inform her why they were searching her bags and seemed not happy when they didn't find anything. It wasn't necessary to have 3 people searching 2 bags of groceries and being mean the whole time especially when she was being cooperative about the whole situation. read more

We tried to use the newer pickup feature for our very first time. Well, because of everything stated before but BOY am I REGRETTING IT ALL. Walmart has taken $300 from me and couldn't complete my order so it was cancelled and now I have to wait 10 days for my money back. What have I gotten from this experience? My only $300 for groceries taken from me. no food to feed my kids or pregnant wife and Walmart not trying to help me in anyway. Decent parking and easy to get in and out of. Frequented by the Sun City crowd and not nearly as crazy as some of the other Super Centers I have been in. It was a good way to kill some time while the local vet was cleaning my dogs teeth, and I ended up finding all sorts of things I didn't need but still got out of there for under a hundred bucks. She went back and asked for the manager to please call the police for her. They refused to call the cops. It took a wonderful lady to call. Shame on you Walmart! Pharmacy can not bring medicine out to your car if it is too big to fit in the drive up window

This is by far one of the worse Walmarts anywhere. I would say customer service is lacking, but to be lacking you would have to have something that resembles customer service to start with. I had ordered an item on line for pick up at this Walmart. El Mirage walmart is 30 minutes away (I have a walmart 5 minutes away) but did claim to have the item in stock and would be ready for pickup after 10am the next morning. I showed up to pickup and when called the number on walmart's sign I had to give my name and order several times. ALL they would say is there is no such order. It appears that walmart chose to sell the item to an employee after having been purchased figuring the heck with the customer. A runner came out to the car and confirming that I had in fact been supplying the correct order number found the order to have been canceled. I never canceled the order nor received any information from walmart the order had been canceled. I called the store and was transferred to the pickup dept. I requested to speak with the manager and the guy claimed he was. I explained WALMART's procedure for such situations. The manager essentially called my a liar and told me I had to prove it to him. Not my job to train walmart's people in the walmart procedures or to be courteous or to be customer service oriented. Being as this walmart refuses to work with customers I can only hope my escalating the complaint to corporate will get a resolution. I strongly urge anybody reading this review to avoid El Mirage walmart at all cost as you will regret it. There is a reason this walmart has such a low rating with only the fake reviews keeping it from having just one star. My experience was the rule, not the exception. read more

However, I have NEVER been to a Wal-Mart, Target or any similar store that had this many shopping carts spread randomly throughout the parking lot! This Walmart closes at midnight, that really sucks. Walmart isn't a great place to begin with and most are open twenty-four seven, but not this turd! They have really good customer service... and the employee's do not ignore you and are very helpful... they even walk up and ask if they can help me find anything or if I have any questions. Even on check out... they are ALWAYS opening registers if the lines are getting busy and too long... management are always walking around with ther radios making sure everything is going smoothly. read more

I went to this Walmart because of the eye center. The eye center was amazing. My son broke his frames twice and they replaced them without questions. When they replaced them they also ordered new lens due to scratching. Very professional and helpful, not to mention very affordable. I will not go anywhere else anymore. read more

Majorly sucks that a store that is supposed to be family friendly refuses to give out rolls of quarters when a customer asks to buy a roll. I asked a cashier she said she doesn't give out quarters. The location is great, the greeters in front are so nice and always greets you... everything good until this lady from the women's department came up to me said "excuse me did you take all these off the hangers and throw them over the rack? I, too, have yet to experience the poor service fueling some of these negative reviews. One cannot walk into a Wal-Mart and expect it to be like a Nordstrom or a Neiman Marcus. This store has always been clean and the workers have always been polite. My wife and I are comfortable walking across the parking lot at night. Wal-Mart remains the place to come first if you have a few household items to purchase; a spatula, perhaps, some light bulbs, a gallon of bleach, maybe a game for the kids, or a garden hose. It's not your store for top of the line items, or if you're threatened by a little diversity. And if the latter is the case, why do you even live in Phoenix? Move to Oregon, instead. read more

This store is less than 5 years old and looks like it's over 20. Run down and in complete disarray with staff who are seriously unhappy being here makes this store even worse. Our visit today found the store in such disarray that I thought a small tornado had run through it. Even my 2 year old said Mommy this store is a mess! For a 2 year old to notice is saying a lot. I try to shop local because our city could use the sales tax but from now on, I'll drive over to Surprise. This store is....well...a dump. And that's the nicest word I can find for it. read more

One of the cleaner & more spacious Wal-Mart locations in the valley. Wide isles and plenty of walking room make it more pleasant to deal with some of the typical customer base, and this seems like a very welcome location in this.... uh.... area. Keep in mind it is the first day open.... 1. Lots of employees standing around chatting, "when do we take our breaks?" 2. It took me 32 minutes to get through the line and there were only two people in front of me. I would have thought they would have done more training, or brought in some cashiers from other stores to help them through the first day. The cashier was very friendly, but just didn't know how to do things...like ring up veggies or deal with a credit card whose magnetic stripe wasn't working. 3. The store was well organized, well laid out, clean, etc. 4. I'm curious about customers though....what possesses people to take everyone in thier family and spread across the aisle so no one else can get by. I buy my make up here. My last purchase sucked. I bought the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme to plump my lips. I have pretty plump lips, but sucking cancer sticks for 3/4 of my life is taking a toll. This product does not plump your lips. It just tingles. I want a product that makes my lips look like Ike Turner had a go at them. This is not the product for me. Would sincerely be interested in a Lip plumper lipstick that actually plumps. read more

My wife and I frequent this Walmart for most of our needs and find the employee courtesy friendly and helpful. Living in Sun City makes this store very convenient for me and my wife. It's hard for me to understand the customer service remarks that some commented about the unsatisfactory treatment received while shopping. Do NOT go here. The tax rate is 9.3%, with certain items even higher. The only reason I would recommend this store is if you would like an opportunity to get a ticket on your way in or out. Redplex speed trap cameras are conveniently situated at the main entrance. The last time I was there I noticed a big, beefy coat hook was on clearance. It looked well-made, not like the coat hooks that are so narrow and pointy they ruin your clothes, so I picked it up and read the packaging. The front said COAT HOOK in big letters. On the back, in little letters, it said this hook is for light jackets? or just regular jackets, and scarves. So it's a scarf hook. read more
