If i could give this store negative stars... i would. Im so pissed at this store right now. Today i stand in line at customer service for 45 minutes while the cashier tried to figure out which barcode to scan. This was my first "shaking my head" moment. Now my turn! I finally get to the cashier and explained to her that they didnt have what i needed, and was told by floor associate, that they could check to see if product was in store close by. The lady at customer service then replies " i dont know how to do that and we dont have time to be on the phone just call around yourself." I had to leave before i caused a scene. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, WONT SERVICE THEIR CUSTOMER???? i work customer service. If i ever told a client i didnt have time... id lose my job. Standing there for that long just to get brushed off by pure laziness and lack of job etiquette. Never again!! 3 months ago i got my oil changed and the mechanics ripped the panel out of my seat and then tried to say it came in that way. After cussing and causing a scene, the finally admitted to making the mistake and payed to have it fixed. HEB will be getting my money from here on out. THIS LOCATION IS HORRIBLE!!!! read more

My daughter bought my Christmas gift, an electronic product on sale from a Walmart while she was traveling on business. The product was defective so I took it to the Georgetown Walmart, as I live close, to replace/exchange it and Walmart would not exchange it out even though I had the receipt. This location has the EXACT product but for $50 bucks more and management wanted me to return the current one then rebuy and pay the difference. The store response was it was the managers discretion as to exchange or not. Per Walmart customer service, she could of exchanged it if she wanted to. Simply , the manager did not want to do the paperwork for the price difference!!!! She wouldn't even talk to me but sent a message to customer service. Lesson learned. Don't buy anything from one Walmart and expect another one to exchange it. My money will now go to AMAZON. read more

Called to ask their Hours of operation (website says "call") and was greeted by an exceptionally friendly and courteous gentleman (sarcasm can be hard to detect in text format) who failed to give a name. When I asked the department Hours he simply said "well... were closed now", when I politely asked what time they would open and close tomorrow he replied "uhhhh... I dunno hang on".... (brief un-muted pause, lots of inaudible hollering) and then a prompt "tomorrow were 7-7". Before I could complete my less than sincere thank you he hung up... Nice. read more

The tire center is supposed to be open at 7am the doors didn't open till 7:20am. Then they didn't have the tire size I needed, which is a common tire, Ford Fusion. I was told I should of ordered the tire first. So I guess this is my lesson to go to discount tire where they always have the tire you need and great customer service. read more

I will overpay at another store before I step foot into this Walmart again. When we first arrived here our car required new tires so we took it to the tire center. HUGE mistake. They broke our lug nuts, the tires were damaged, and needed to be fixed as fast as they were changed. Contacted Walmart to complain about the damage that was done to my car and no reply. They replied publicly to my complaint on social media, though.... Of course. Fast forward about a year. Yes, it took me that long to even consider going back. I went in on a mission to find a new headset for my pc because mine gave up the ghost pretty late at night and we didn't want to drive all the way to Wolf Ranch Target. Went into the tech department and as I was comparing two headsets with my family in toe and my WORK UNIFORM on, I was approached 4 times by one employee and twice by another in an effort to prevent loss..... I know this is what they were doing because my husband worked here before transitioning into his career in mental health. On the 4th time the employee approached me he physically removed the product from my hand and tried to direct me to a discount rack. I was simply reading the specs on two different headsets to see which one was the best bang for my buck. Nothing suspicious unless reading is considered that. Again, I complained. Nothing was accomplished. That night I spent $300 in that store and left extremely upset. I will not return. read more

Needed to buy a few grocery items. Me and Hubby went to the Walmart Supercenter located at 620 Interstate 35, Georgetown, TX on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Each of the items that I needed were in stock and readily available. Used self check out which was quick and easy. Stopped by the ladies restroom before heading to the car. The ladies restroom was horrendous, filthy, and it stinks. Tissue paper was all over the floor. The first stall is totally unsanitary and had poop every where; it needs repair. The door of the first stall should be locked shut until it's repaired. Walmart needs to assign someone to consistently check the restrooms to make sure that they are sanitary and clean! read more

Here we go... So I'm stranded in Georgetown.. I had a blowout on 35... Stopped at this Walmart and these people are extra lazy.. Why? I needed a tire.. Didn't need them to change it.. Just wanted to buy the tire.. In this Walmart the tires are inside of the service bay where they change oil.. I went to a manager named Thomas who was standing with two employees who worked in the auto area and they told me they cannot sell me a tire because the door is locked and they don't have a key.. I found a mobile place that did not have my size of tire but they said if I go in the Walmart and buy a tire they would come and change it.. I informed Thomas of this and his exact words were "man it sucks but I can't help you.." Really? Then one of the guys who worked in the auto department says, "you can come back at 7am and get one." This is one of the best Walmart's I have visited in the Austin area. It is conveniently located near I35 in Georgetown,Texas. It is easily accessible, plenty of parking, and well lit at night. The employees were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I very much believe in emotional intelligence, so when asking for help, it helps to understand a little bit about the person helping, and be empathetic. Just no. I only shop here because they have the best selection on blank shirts, hats & cups for projects I do. I stopped in one night to grab a shirt and wanted to try it on. The fitting rooms were empty and the door open with no attendant in site (surprising, right?!!), so I went in. Then I hear my husband getting chewed out by some grotesque 'people of Walmart'-esque employee for using the fitting rooms when their lack of posted hours apparently indicated that they were closed. The Bathrooms are Filthy beyond imaginable... Disgusting! It stinks like urine and almost all toilets always have urine and feces caked on them. They definitely do not keep up with the maintenance and the upkeep in this store....ON TOP OF THAT the customer service is the worst. Although I live less than 5 minutes from the Walmart Supercenter in Georgetown, TX, I shop more and more frequently at the Walmart in Round Rock. I have never before experienced so many out-of-stock items at any Walmart store. These are not unusual items, roller ball pens, whipping cream, and the $3.00 scented candles unique to Walmart to name only a few. I constantly find empty display boxes on the shelf that have been empty for longer than 3 weeks. I visit the Round Rock store to always find the shelves completely stocked with the items I desire to purchase. Obviously, the Georgetown store is poorly managed since the Round Rock inventory is consistently available. Might want to provide additional supply-chain management classes to the store manager. I'm standing at fabric where I've been for 15 minutes now, after they've paged twice for customer assistance. Still no help. They can't be too mad when I shoplift two yards of $2 fabric. They should do what they're paid to do. * stood there over 30 minutes. Five Seperate employees walked by doing nothing. They paged four times for customer assistance with fabric. I called the store I was standing in from my cell to get assistance and NOTHING! I have spent thousands of dollars in this store just this year alone. I shop at this store and have my oil changed there, but the main point of this review is for Walmart.com. (I couldn't find a way to review the website) I buy all of my non-perishables online: cereal, paper towels, soups, canned vegetables, tuna, dressing, toothpaste, hair color, make-up, Windex, kitty litter, dog & Senior cat food, just to name a few! My trips to the grocery store are now just quick trips to get milk, eggs, frozen items, produce, and bread! So nice!! The order is usually delivered within 4-6 days by UPS, Fed Ex, and/or USPS. Whoever is packing isn't very careful about protecting potato chips/Fritos when boxing them with mayo and Gatorade powder. Walmart didn't complain when I returned the exploded chips. This would've been great when my 4 kids were little... Thank-you Walmart. read more

What can I say, another terrible review here... I'll keep it as short as possible. I came a few months ago for an oil change. On a Wednesday. At 2pm. For a synthetic oil change. When I pulled in there were 3 cars ahead of me. I shopped around the store, waited in the seating area, for OVER THREE HOURS. Sitting in a Walmart for 3 hours is NOT how I expect to spend my day. I thought maybe, just maybe, something went wrong that made everything that particular day spiral out of control. Fast forward 3 months, I came with a friend to get an oil change. I hoped for a better experience as I have always had oil changes done at (other) Walmart's with little to no issues. This time on a Friday afternoon. From the first person we encountered, while we waited 15 minutes to even be helped, to the checkout (an hour later) where the cashier didn't know how to use the point of sale system, this was yet another disaster. The manager of the oil and lube department didn't offer to help, greet us, say anything at all...we waited for the people in front of us to check out for 15 minutes while the cashier struggled to ring them up. Word to the wise...Pay more for someone capable of getting it done right and with some kind of customer service skills. All in all this place is a disaster. I'll probably never step foot in this Walmart again unless it's unavoidable. read more

I went to this Walmart tonight with two of my female friends. A white male in his mid 20s-30s in a maroon hoodie, head shaved, blue eyes and one dimple started following us. He would be a few aisles away staring at us and when we would make sharp direction changes, he would follow. He had no items in his hands. When we got to checkout, we told Kimberlie about what was going on. She immediately called her manager, Synthia. These women took our concerns very seriously and immediately called over Mickey to walk us out. These people were so kind and protected us from something that could've turned out very badly. If I could leave a 0 I would. I was a long time go'er of Walmart Tire & Lube- 11 years to be precise. But after how I just witnessed a worker treat the older gentleman working the check in station I will NEVER return. My wife talked about last time she went getting a bad feeling about how they were talking to the gentleman up front, I wasn't 100% convinced, until I just witnessed it myself. It doesn't even matter to me what age this man was, people don't need to be openly critical of their subordinates. It's just bad management. I moved to Texas from Georgia a few years ago. I Before moving, when I would visit, I would get to go shop at Target, plus HEB! All I had near me was a Walmart. So, since moving, I haven't been in a Walmart but just a couple of times. I much rather shop at Target and HEB. I have better experiences at these stores, and I think they have better selections. I have, however, been in the Walmart off I-35 in Georgetown. Both times I have shopped there, I have asked for assistance and both times I got an "I don't speak English" and then they promptly turned and walked away, leaving me standing there in the isle. The second time I told the lady what I was looking for, which was body spray. She led me to the more pricier perfumes. I explained to her that it wasn't what I was looking for, and explained again what I wanted, even giving her a couple of the brand names. She then looked at me and said, "Oh sorry. I don't speak English.", and walked off. Really??? I believe in equality, regardless of race or nationality, but if you can't communicate with customers out on the floor, I think you need to be in another area and someone needs to be there that can communicate with customers. We brought my daughters glasses in for adjustment. The adjustment resulted in broken frames and spending $25 for new frames. Didn't manage to get up from the chair without broken frames. Not a great experience at this Vision Center. Don't recommend it. No recognition from the employee that the service was substandard. read more

Eh. It's an okay Wal-Mart. The clientele gets a little "interesting" at times and reminds me of the Wal-Mart at IH-35 & SH-45. The selection is better than many other Wal-Marts in the area. The cashiers are hit-and-miss with regards to service, speed, politeness, etc. They can tend to go overboard on the whole lemme-check-your-receipt thing, though. Too bad. read more

I had a bad experience at this store and I'll leave it at that to save time. I then called the corporate customer line to file a complaint after getting no were with the APM. I the received a call from the store manager within 24 as I requested and made him aware of the opportunity the store faces in regards to customer service. Terry said he was new to the store and would address the problem. Terry also stated that he would appreciate my continued business but I had to restfully decline because of not only my poor experience but personal values. Would have given this a zero if it wasn't for one of the employee's actually doing his job. I walked in and wanted an old phone reactivated. One of the employees recommended I get a sim card pack with combined minute card. I purchased this, got it out to the car, and none of the sim cards fixed. When I returned to the desk, another man, Joesph, was currently manning it. He almost immediately became belligerent, telling me that he was unwilling to make a phone call because "they had put him on hold". This was all of about 2 minutes. He then said this was because "another customer could walk up and need help". Keep in mind, there were no other customers at this time, and there was other help available at the counter. I got the distinct idea he just didn't want to help me out. He then told me I should be the one on hold and not him, and that Walmart didn't do phone activations. Considering I used to work at Walmart, at the electronics desk, we did activations all the time as long as there were not a lot of customers--kind of like this time. I pointed this out to him, and he said "sir, go to any other Walmart, and they don't do activations, your lucky we are willing to help you out." Another employee at the desk told him he should page the man who originally sold me the sim card pack. Joesph then loudly and snidely proclaimed that "It wouldn't be right to page someone while they were on their break". The woman then replied that the person in question had been on break for 25 minutes. I simply stated "So he has been on break for 25 minutes, and you still can't page him? I'm just making sure I'm hearing this correctly" Joesph again made some snide and condescending remarks towards me, that it wasn't his job to help with phones. I asked if I could simply receive a refund as I was sold the wrong thing, to which he replied "not at this point". Low and behold, the man who originally sold me the sim card pack came back, immediately began to try different ways to get my phone working, for about 15 minutes. He made phone calls, tried different methods, etc.. Simultaneously he also grabbed a second woman's phone and worked on that while has on hold for mine. Fairly amazing for a department that "doesn't work on phones" according to Joesph. Eventually the man who originally sold me the sim pack admitted that the phone was too out of date (after only 2 years, but that's another story), but he did offer me a full refund, something that Joesph said wasn't possible 20 minutes ago. This hasn't been my first run in with Joesph--another time, in the paint department, my father and I wanted white paint. He refused to add the white tint to the white paint, even though that is what gives the paint the long-lasting color. He kept repeating himself, saying "why would I add 3 ounces of white to already white paint?' Even though it was a base. When I got out to the car my father made me call the customer service line for that particular line of paint, who assured me that the paint most definitely did need white tint added to it for it to work properly and not fade. All I can say to anyone shopping at Georgetown Walmart, avoid Joesph like the plague. Some of the employees, like Quintin at the electronics desk, are great. Joesph, I'm really not sure how he managed to keep the 10 year badge he wears on his vest. read more

I can only give them 1 start since is the lowest I can go. I had a horrible experience at this store so I filed a complain online. the result ? none. below is copy of my complain. On 10/10/18 I entered Walmart Store #09358 in Georgetown, TX. I proceeded to the Sporting Goods department. There was no employee present. I sought the assistance from more than one employee. I waited for 45 minutes until finally a lady by the name of Cxxxx showed. I informed her that I wanted to complete a background check application, so as to purchase a fire arm. Cxxxx immediately said to me "I will not sell you a gun". I asked why. She stated that she believed I was purchasing the gun for someone else & refused to provide the background check application. By the way, I was there by myself! Cxxxx called a manager, who took 20-25 minutes to come to the counter. Mr. Nxxxx asked what was going on. I explained I was there to purchase a fire arm. However, CXXXX was refusing to provide the background check application. This manager proceeded to ask several questions which had nothing to do with the application & quite frankly none of his business! I told the Mr. NXXXX that regardless of CXXXXX or his point of view, I am over 21 years of age, an American citizen with no criminal record. The manager asked me to wait, then proceeded to call another person, whom I assume was also a manager. At this point all 3 employees walked away to discuss the situation, which took another 30 minutes. Apparently, they were trying to decide whether or not to provide me the background check application & whether or not I would be allowed to purchase a gun. Once they finished their discussion, Mr. NXXXX walked away without saying another word. CXXXX returned to the counter. I asked about the result of their discussion. She refused to tell me & said she was going to have to call the Complaint Hot Line. After about another 20 minutes, she finally told me it was okay for me to complete the background check application. By the time everything was said and done, 2 hours later & after 2 people checked my driver license, my background check came back okay. CXXXX unwillingly said I could purchase a gun. I did not realize employees had the authorization, ability or knowledge to conduct a background check in-store & determine someone is ineligible to purchase a fire arm based on their personal opinion. The background check determines a person's ability or inability to purchase a gun not your employees! I was prevented from exercising my 2nd Amendment right, accused of purchasing a fire arm for someone else, made felt like I was a dangerous individual, received extremely poor treatment & customer service. I was discriminated against, harassed & bullied by your employees. This is NOT acceptable & needs to be addressed immediately! It is obvious cXXXX should be removed from this department! Management & any employees dealing with the sale of a fire arm definitely need training in regards to how to conduct a background check. read more

ONE STAR. Horrible customer service from in store manager over the electronics section. I had an item from the walmart.com webpage that said was available for instore pick up same day at a discounted price, store manager would not honor the price and said he doesn't have to honor the price. Walmart corporate told me they DO NOT have to honor walmart.com price its up to the managers discretion and cannot over ride his decision. Well that pretty much means corporate does not have any power over a MANAGER WHO IS IN A BAD MOOD that doesn't want to honor online price. Corporate also states that the company policy is they are to honor walmart.com price at said store. WOW! what an amazing way to shoo away customers who want to purchase items. I was allowed to order the item for store pick up for the price listed online but would be the next day because it was after 2pm. Well Its actually cheaper on Amazon with next day delivery any way. I don't know what it is about these big stores. But I went looking for a few things at the Georgetown Walmart. There was only 3 registers open that actually had cashiers. 20 scan and go registers were open. Now I don't know about you, but if I have a full basket of groceries, I don't want to scan and bag myself. This is 8:00pm on Sunday before July 4th and it's packed. Poor poor choice on one of the richest companies in the world. Quit being so cheap and put the customer service back. This is why online shopping has gotten so popular. None of these bigger stores care about customer service anymore. Only money. read more
