I was at this Walmart making a purchase of an Apple Gift Card and unfortunately the card had no money on it when I went to use it to buy music. $300 down the drain. These cards are useless any more. Nothing is safe. Everything is fraud. And me I am out $300 on an Apple Gift Card!! When I was at register 22 today at 1:30 I asked the cashier if she could break one of my 20s into tens and she made this very snarky. We don't do that anymore. When a manager brought the money over and I asked her about it she was not very pleasant and would not offer to help me out. Went to the Highland Village location this morning. I am seldom impressed with customer service at WalMart. Today I found low stock in numerous items and several items mis-shelved. Came across 3 employees talking while truly obstructing aisles. I asked them to move to allow customers to pass more easily. The response was, "We're doing our job!!!" Not the pleasant response I would hope for. Not even a "Sorry." And their moving to a more appropriate location would have involved about ten steps. We left with about 90% of what we came for. Okay, I guess. But the attitude was about what one would expect from big box store employees. My advice? Use their pick-up service. Less wasted time. I've never had an issue. I ordered necta sweet sweetner twice. I got a confirmation, they took my money, I got a delivery date and time. It kept saying it was late. I called several times. They finally told me they don't deal with that company any more. Eventually I got my money back. I tried again a few months later. This store has gone down hill since I was a kid. I grew up in Highland Village and was there when this store opened. It used to have a Dunkin Donuts, more check out lines, look clean, and look stocked with supplies. It seems very grungy dirty now and lacking in supplies. Though some of you may say that is every where, that is not true. Every week I go to WinCo the shelves are completely stocked. Love this Wal-mart. It's clean, organized and easy to find what you need(if they carry it). It's not one of my normal stores i go to cause it's so far away, but i was in the neighborhood and needed to get groceries. Glad i did cause i had a great time and the prices on some of the same items i buy were less. Although i did spend more than i planned, but i did get some stuff they don't have at my local location. Wish the store in my area would take a lesson from them. read more

Took 30 minutes to check out a single cart of groceries. Then when we finally went to pay the giftcards wouldn't register at the check out lane. The manager sent us to the customer service lane and had to wait another 20 minutes. All of my frozen items melted by the time I was able to get home. On Saturday my mom, sister and I were in this Walmart and my mom was looking through the clearance items in the mens section on a rack and this lady by the name of Carol came up and started moving the rack while my mom was looking through it. My mom stated she was looking and if she could give her a minute. Carol told her well you can go over there and look after I move the rack. she proceeded to move the rack and she almost hit my mom with the rack. I go up and ask for a manager and they sent Carol up. Come to find out Carol is a team lead. This lady was so rude and disrespectful. I will never step foot back into this Walmart. Carol needs to learn how to deal with customers. Her attitude was not acceptable. No one at this Walmart cared about her attitude and the way she treated my 60 year old mother. read more

Lady was pretty rude to me when returning an Allswell mattress topper that was the wrong size (bought the full size but had a twin size inside). She didn't ask me why I was returning the product, or if something was wrong with it or anything. All she did say was "im still doing the other ladies order" kind of sternly/rudely. Her interaction prior seemed fine, she was even smiling and laughing with the (white) woman before me. They have great customer service at this location. I specifically want to highlight Cameron from the front checkout area. He was incredibly accommodating, had a great attitude, very professional, and just went above and beyond to make my experience as smooth as possible. I had left my wallet at work and he took my cart aside to save for me, ran a code for my purchase so that I didn't have rescan all my items, and got me out of the store with a smile. Someone please give this gentlemen a pay raise! He deserves the world for his level of excellence, care, and attention to customer needs! read more

The prettiest Walmart in the universe but the worst Walmart when it comes to staff and safety. There is a chronic problem with day laborers/drug dealers/creepy men at the end of the parking lot near Freddy's. Today 8/30/2023 there were three pairs of women panhandling. One pair was near the garden center/home goods entrance while another pair was near the food center entrance. I saw a third pair crossing the street to the neighboring strip mall. When I called to tell someone, anyone. I made several different phone calls, each time selecting a different department just trying to get a human to answer the phone. I finally got someone in Electronics to pick up. He tried to transfer me to management and it rang four times and I was disconnected. I would expect this kind of thing in other parts of town but not this area. Management is a dumpster fire. read more

Beautiful Walmart ! The outside front entrance was something to behold. A big pecan tree in a sucken-in-area with a little walk area. Inside the Walmart was exceptionally clean and layout eye appealing. Lots of employee checkout stations along with self checkout stations. This store never answers phone calls from customers. I can try every line and department and it just rings and rings. When you are there checking out, the workers stare at you like you are a thief. I'm genuinely surprised that I've never reviewed this location before. In fact, this is probably the Walmart location I have been to the most often! It's on my route to and from work, and as there are very few things open prior to 5am in the area, I've stopped in a number of times over the last few years. Surprising or not, perhaps it's for the best. I am 100% certain I would have rated this location 3 stars when I thought I had reviewed it, lol! However, I am so pleased with the customer service from the overnight staff, that it earned them the extra star. Wow... that may be the first time that sentence has ever been written. Traditionally the overnight staff at grocery stores is less than enthused. This location is huge! It's a supercenter so you are going to find a lot of what you need. Compared to the two closest supercenters, Highland Village delivers a much nicer layout and building. I pretty much exclusively come here before or around 5am and then also late afternoons if my husband calls to report we need something ASAP. The parking lot isn't very wide, but it does go back pretty far. The lot is always crowded during normal business hours, so I prefer my earlier trips. The trade off is their self checkout area doesn't open until 7am. It's normally not a problem that they only have 1 checkout lane open in the early mornings as most customers at that time only have a couple of items. In all my trips here, there was only 1 customer who almost made me late to work with her giant pile of clothes she was price checking and her obliviousness to the 2 other customers that were getting antsy. That's not their fault, but we all know that wait times color our perception of any business. As a whole, this is one of the better stocked locations. Every time I have stopped in, regardless of the time of day, there is ALWAYS someone stocking an aisle. For that reason, I prefer to come to this location when I need oil, filters and other automotive items. It's a larger section here than at most other Walmart locations and it's always stocked and dependable. I've never come here for an automotive item and left empty handed, which has happened at other stores and other Walmart locations. They also have a bakery with a great display area! My most recent visit I saw a great Halloween display that was impressive! They also have a decent sized deli and ready to go area for lunch items and snacks ready made meals. Ironically enough, these are the areas I would most likely need to stop in for something, but are usually the least stocked areas in the store- awwww! While the bakery display is awesome, it's 50/50 that I will go to their already made bakery displays and find the pies almost empty or the cake or bread options depleted. The same goes for the deli and ready to go items. This is presumably because these are the more popular items and cooking time makes it hard to keep up. This is an area of improvement as I would actually willingly spend more if these areas were more consistent. Let's discuss customer service. I have been here plenty of times when nobody has spoken to me at all, like many of their locations. However, my last several visits during their overnight shift were shockingly impressive. Everyone was super nice and helpful! In different sections of the store I was approached and offered help and thought the service was really great! I'm not sure if there was a recent change in staffing, but it was a noticeable improvement for my overall impression of Walmart. During that visit, I had asked the manager about whether or not they are stocking an item I used to find here, that my husband requested. She went above and beyond by looking up the information and it turns out the manufacturer is not providing it anymore. I stopped back in a few days later and as we were passing by each other in the main walkway, she specifically asked about my husband and if he had chosen an alternate product. It wasn't just me, she had several personal interactions with other customers in my view. That right there got them the extra star. read more

This Walmart Supercenter is about as clean Walmart you can get. Only occasionally I haven't been able to find what I need, the majority of the time this is the best one-stop-shop! The huge tree in the front is a delight to the senses! They're always moving things around and updating, which is a good thing, they listen to the flow of customers in the store. Also, they keep their self-checkout well staffed and functional, this helps ease the volume to the full-cart checkout lines which can get pretty long! Customer service center is the only reason why this place docks a star. You'd think that the longest place you'd wait is in a check line, but no, the longest I've waited in this Walmart Supercenter has been at the Customer Service center, not even in a line, but just one person being helped can take upwards of 30 minutes at times! I have significant patience, but it wears thin at the customer service center. read more

I am so tired of this Walmart. The aisles are blocked by pickup order staff who will just sit there forever, the stocking people are the same, they are always out of cilantro unless you go super early, and the self-checkout is a nightmare because things scan incorrectly, and worse in the mornings because the older ladies working there will just flat out stand beside you while you scan like they're loss preventioning. The little handheld things they use don't always register what I'm scanning quickly, so I have to show them on the screen that I am actually being charged for my bananas. The younger people later in the day are way friendlier and more helpful, and don't hover quite so much, but are always lightning fast to help if something scans incorrectly. read more

The check out process at this Walmart is embarrassing. There is ZERO reason for 1 working cashier line and 8 (I counted) other employees standing along the wall. I get it I'm sure one or two are there to help with self checkout but I'm unsure what the other 6 are there for? They were just laughing away, giving high fives, and on their phones. I am so embarrassed by this cake for my son's birthday. The photo speaks for itself as far as the look of the cake (jagged edges of the design sheet and icing on top of some and under the other part. SLOPPY.) We asked for a cake to feed 24 people. We got the absolute tiniest cake imaginable. One of my guests had just ordered a cake as well and she said the size we got was for 10-15 people. I was so embarrassed to serve this. But it did taste great. UPDATE: we received a very nice call from Walmart regarding our complaint. They offered sincere apologies and explained that they had a new employee. They offered a full refund. We are very appreciative of their prompt response. I don't frequent Walmart often but this location is definitely one of the better Walmart locations I've been to. They have a really good variety of items in this store. They have never been out of an item that I've looked for. Unlike many Walmart's this location is a nice building and not run down. The service is just OK, most of the time I've asked for help they tell me the general direction but haven't been interested to walk me exactly where or exactly where on what shelf. This location seems to often be busy but the parking lot is quite big. They have a lot of handicap parking which can't be said of many of companies besides Walmart and Target. read more

After waiting for help I was told to go find the sign and take a photo. i explained that I have no idea where the towels were. she finally went and adjusted the price. I have had problems with this store for many years but none as bad as last night. I went through the self checkout because they are never enough cashiers. A nice man named Ethan was helping me and that was great until I was forced, by the computer, to use Walmart Pay. I don't want to use Walmart Pay. Ever. Ethan was great, as was Dyan, but Frank Delasandro was rude and threw my receipt at me. I would not go back to this store and would be careful around an employee with such an explosive temper. This is a huge Walmart, one of the biggest ones I've ever been in. It's always well stocked, the aisles are organized and kept up with, the employees have always been nice and very knowledgeable. The bathrooms are actually extremely clean, or have been every time I use them and they even smell good. This Walmart is always packed that it's ridiculous. So why do I keep driving down to this one. They keep the shelves stocked and the clothes are always neatly organized. The staff is very helpful but I wish they get some help. The lines are super long most of the time and seems like there is a shortage on cashiers . Mini rant over anyway I found some nice clothes for Cupcake that were just too cute to pass. I wasn't suppose to be I that section no way I just suppose to get a few groceries but hey when you have to wait I. Long lines you get bored . If I could give zero stars I would. I'm 7 months pregnant trying to stay safe from covid by ordering grocery delivery. The last two orders I have placed have had severe issues causing me to need to go into the store anyway after both deliveries. First order- an entire bag of groceries was left out of my order-milk, orange juice and beans. The second order I needed a jar of marinara sauce, and even though I selected allow substitutions I was given zero marinara sauce just because they were out of the brand I ordered. Literally just needed any jar of marinara-not that difficult. I am severely disappointed with this service. read more

This is my absolute favorite Walmart ever! I l know that Walmart has become America's go to store for everything and many go there several times a week, if not daily. This is absolutely fine, but I tend to visit Walmart less often and it's mainly because of their customer service. However, this location is different than any Walmart I've ever been to. It's like the Disneyland of all Walmart's. When you first enter the store, you know that this location is set apart from the rest. I used to visit this location a lot, but stopped for some reason, but after this visit, I will start making more regular trips there. I'm sure that the location has a lot to do with the entire flow of this store. Shopping here is just not about spending money, it's a whole experience. The layout of the store, the cleanliness, the well stocked shelves, the excellent customer service... Everything is on point here! I was a bit mad at myself that I had not been back to this particular location in a while and had forgotten about its awesomeness. No worries, I will be back soon and I will be back often. I know it sounds cheesy, but this Walmart is not like any other. You will love it! My only complaint is that it is not right down the street like my local one. read more

Some of the rudest retail staff I've met. I placed an online order for pickup. I was told I needed to wait 4 days for my groceries to come in. When I was notified the groceries were ready, I went to the pickup parking spot outside the store. I called the number posted on the sign and was told my order would be right out. 20 minutes later, having not received my groceries, I called again and was told I never placed an order. I explained I did and received the email alerting me they were ready. I was put through to a supervisor who did nothing but blame me and tell me I didn't know what I was taking about. I proceeded to provide the gentleman with the Order Number from the Walmart email and he continued to blame me telling me I didn't know how to place an online order. Needless to say, they did not provide me with my order. That was the first and last time I'll try their Order Pickup. read more

The grocery pick up is really bad at this store. I get pick up several times a month from different Walmarts and I always have damaged items from this store. ALWAYS ask for your bread, eggs, bananas, and other fragile items to be loaded in the front of your car instead of in the back with the other groceries. I'm not sure why the employees loading the bags have to be told not to place heavy items on top of fragile items. They placed a case of Dr. Pepper on top of two loaves of bread and a carton of eggs. $8 down the drain. *sigh* read more

It was a short trip so I can't say much about my time there but I wasn't overly impressed. Being Walmart it was huge and had a lot of options of all sorts of stuff. Unfortunately nothing I wanted was in their vast selection. I wanted a normal and what I would think would be a pretty common stack of colored star stickers and an ink pad. I could only find 4th of July themed star stickers and no ink pads. I asked an employee where the ink pads would be because I had previously been to a different store (Target) already and didn't want to spend time looking around for it. The lady who answered me was nice enough smiling and all but didn't put in the extra effort the employee at Target did to help me find what I needed. The exact question I asked her was "Do you guys sell ink pads?" and she responded "If we did it would be in the aisle at the back to the right past the books," and went back to what she was doing before. Now this wasn't a bad response but I would have appreciated she looking it up or walking me down or calling someone else to do it instead. read more

Went to do a return and asked for the return to be placed on a gift card beforehand. Ben did the return and messed up and sent it to the purchasers card. Brought Chad in to help for his mistake but couldn't help. Chad brought store manager Dave and he was helpless. He stated he couldn't help me and said "it is what it is" since the return was sent back. I stated before anything was done I wanted the refund on a gift card due to the item we returned being a gift my daughter received for her birthday and I wasn't sure who had purchased the item for her so I couldn't just text them and be like hey I need the $160 Walmart refunded you on accident. I understand it was a mistake but nothing was done nor did they try to fix their mistake. Instead all I get is "it is what it is" and my daughter lost $160 on a gift. I honestly don't know how Dave is a manager! Shows no characteristics that a manager should have! I asked for his managers name, a number I could contact and I got nothing in return from him. I typically wouldn't bother giving a review to a Walmart, but this place is different! First of all, the 125 year old pecan tree I front is worth a visit! When you walk inside you'll be met by an upgraded experience from your typical Walmart, with a cleaner and more refined experience. I am still waiting and have spoken to 3 people who say they only have 2 runners and again try to promise delivery. It would have been faster to shop myself.
