This store has gone down hill since I was a kid. I grew up in Highland Village and was there when this store opened. It used to have a Dunkin Donuts, more check out lines, look clean, and look stocked with supplies. It seems very grungy dirty now and lacking in supplies. Though some of you may say that is every where, that is not true. Every week I go to WinCo the shelves are completely stocked. I wish this Walmart would get back to the quality it used to be.

Beautiful Walmart ! The outside front entrance was something to behold. A big pecan tree in a sucken-in-area with a little walk area. Inside the Walmart was exceptionally clean and layout eye appealing. Lots of employee checkout stations along with self checkout stations. Yes, a typical Walmart, but the front entrance sets this Walmart apart from most.

    Pickup! That's pretty cool!

This Walmart Supercenter is about as clean Walmart you can get. Only occasionally I haven't been able to find what I need, the majority of the time this is the best one-stop-shop! The huge tree in the front is a delight to the senses! They're always moving things around and updating, which is a good thing, they listen to the flow of customers in the store. Also, they keep their self-checkout well staffed and functional, this helps ease the volume to the full-cart checkout lines which can get pretty long! Customer service center is the only reason why this place docks a star. You'd think that the longest place you'd wait is in a check line, but no, the longest I've waited in this Walmart Supercenter has been at the Customer Service center, not even in a line, but just one person being helped can take upwards of 30 minutes at times! I have significant patience, but it wears thin at the customer service center.

This shopping center is huge, it takes up the entire corner of Dixon and Long Prairie…read more There's a huge array of shopping from sporting goods and a Hobby Lobby to a JCPenney, an Ulta and more. There are more restaurants here than in your average shopping center. I haven't eaten at them all, but I am impressed with the variety. You got everything from Panda Express and Which Which to sushi and a Red Robin. That's a lot more variety than what's offered in a typical center. The location itself is convenient for running errands as on the other side of Dixon is the Target shopping center with more stores and restaurants. It's definitely possible to run all your errands in one intersection and I think that's a draw for a lot of people. I've been here a few times and still have only been to a handful of the many, many options here. The parking lot is large and the spaces are a normal size. However, there is so much traffic that it's pretty common for people to dart from other aisles and it can be a little on the dangerous side. The upside is that because the lot is so huge, it's never been completely full so you can usually see these problem drivers coming in time to react. This area is always, always busy so I can't really suggest a better or worse time of day. It still looks new though, Flower Mound does a great job of keeping up the area. It's worth checking out and you can make a day out of it if you're committed enough, lol. :)

A little confused by other review of empty shelves. id guess they were changing out a holiday/seasonal area. as thats the only place ive ever seen empty periodically when holidays change. Fun place to find unique funny or off the wall T-shirts for 5 bucks a piece. Something for everyone. They have unique candy upfront too.

However, I only…read morediscovered the weekend before my visit that Five Below was a discount store and not a kids clothing store, lol. Since we were in the shopping center running errands, we decided to stop by and get a couple of things we had been considering for stuff around the house. Upon walking in, the layout was pretty similar. To your left was party supplies, then greeting card, then technology items with games in the back corner. On the right is a majority of your fitness items, clothing and the back right corner is home decor and organization cubes. However, this location seemed quite a bit messier than the shiny location I had visited in Denton a week prior. Their seasonal display was completely empty, just a strange empty spot in the midst of all the clutter. Since we had visited on the same day of the week and roughly at the same time (Saturday at lunch time) as we had the other location, I'm taking a guess that this location is short staffed. I only saw one employee and she was working the register, which is 2 less than what I had seen in Denton. The employee was very friendly and quite cheerful for working by herself. I have no complaints on the service we received at all. I just hope they get her some help, because there were a lot of customers in the store at the time. As a store, this is still a neat concept. I'm always complaining to my husband about dollar stores that shouldn't be allowed to have the word 'dollar' in their name because most of the store is way more than that, lol. This on the other hand, lives up to its name with everything truly being $5 or less. I really like that this is the only discount chain, that I am aware of, that has fitness items. Yoga mats, balance boards, hand weights and many of the apparel and accessories that go with it. That's neat and it's a cheap way to try out a new activity without dropping a lot of cash in case you hate it. They even have skateboards there! Both times I've gone into a location, I've badly wanted to buy the squares to build your own fitness floor. I have no idea why, I wouldn't use it, but I want it, lol. I see this chain as a healthy mix of a place to get last minute items you forgot about (phone chargers, birthday cards, Tupperware, games to keep the kids busy) and a place that gives you ideas on things you didn't realize you needed (lots of storage options, home decor, nifty gadgets like lights for dark corners, a variety of travel accessories). In the ranks of the chain, this location is A-OK and it's worth checking out!
