It was mainly geared towards older women. I know I'm supposedly "high risk" according to my OB/GYN, but dang I'm not ready to be these clothes old. The whole store from the outside to the mannequins (see my photo from 11/15/2023) is worn out. Literally! The sweate on said mannequin was falling off and had holes and tear in it! The employees and the security guard seemed nice. I'm glad the hoodies were discounted at 35% off the original price because it wouldn't be worth it to me otherwise. I'm shocked this is the Hobbs' sore, I mean, store.

It is with great concern for your business that I bring this customer complaint to your organization, as it seems that your Department Store Supervision (Denise Woods, Supervisor during my ordeal 11/22/15 6:05 PM) has no problem with showing an utter lack of concern for customer service or resolution as a tactic to ward off customer complaints. I entered the above JC Penney location maybe 15-20 minutes before closing. My wife and I continued shopping without noticing that the store had closed. My wife had about $60.00 of merchandise chosen for purchase. On two occasions I had different employees tell us in a rude manner that the store had closed (10 mins after closing). On the first occasion the employee stated, "we may not 'even' be able to pay for our purchases" (I believe hinting that we should leave the items and vacate the store). On the second occasion an employee felt the need to eavesdrop the conversation my wife and I were having about the ordeal as we walked up to the registers and felt the need to interject a reiteration of the store's closing time. Unbelieveable! I still went ahead and made the purchase but brought up my concerns. The cashiers showed very little concern for my plight, but I made the purchase anyway. The "straw" of the whole situation was that upon trying to exit the store, the doors were locked and not one of the six employees on the store floor came to help me until I asked for the manager. Well, the manager came up to the store-front with the key. I tried to bring up my concern about my treatment in the store and her response was to open the front door and reiterate the stores hours and the fact that they are posted at the front entrance. By this point I was so upset by the continued mistreatment from the staff, which included the management that I asked if I could return my items. Without blinking an eye, the manager ordered one of her employees to execute the transaction, which left me in awe of the customer service strategy I was just witnessing-save face by not caring at all. The ordeal was so upsetting to everyone that one of the employees, ironically enough, told me that if I was going to send a complaint, to inform you that they needed new computers. WOW! This situation could have been defused by a simple apology, as all I wanted was appreciation for being a customer and to be treated courteously. Instead of I got this treatment. Make of it what you will, but it will be a long time before I think about setting foot in any of your stores.

Photographer Hannah was so easy to work with & got us our digital images in a timely manner. + SMINX is a woman-owned body and candle company. My daughters love their handmade bath bombs. TIP * Navajo Drive is one of the more well-traveled roads. As one travels west, it becomes Joe Harvey Boulevard which becomes West County Road. It's confusing, but roll with it.

I really adore their earrings--all of them! The lady working there on 6/6/2023 was very friendly & helpful. They ship anywhere in the US for a flat fee of $8. Marshalls had their grand opening in Hobbs, NM, today (October 9, 2025)…read more By the time I got to view the new store, it was just after 6:30 PM and as loud as a popular steakhouse with hoards of people inside. The parking lot was packed. Most sections were well-stocked and tidy, however, the makeup section and home goods areas were quite messy. I really like the layout though and the flooring. There are some really cute women's clothes there. My daughter found some jeans that she liked, but we had to leave to pick up her sister. The checkout line went all the way to the back of the store at one point. She did note that the dressing room had trash in it already and had some kind of dusty film all over. Everything new in this town is always crazy busy like this during the first few weeks, but all of the employees I interacted with very kind and friendly. I can't wait to purchase some good deals because there's always some at this chain retail store. Just in time before the holidays! Welcome to Hobbs, America, Marshalls!

I realize Family Dollar is not exactly a grocery store. It's a general discount and "dollar" store. Per usual, I'm probably asking for too much in life, but I often wish this one was more of a local farmer vendor as opposed to some of the junk they sell. Here's why: 1) they offer online shopping at https://www.familydollar.com. Obviously it's more important to have that availability over fresh food. Okay... 2) This Hobbs, NM, location has cold food items and a slew of canned foods. Mmmk, so why not fresh veggies? 3) Fresh fruit and vegetables are far superior to their processed counterparts. 4) We'd have convenient access to local produce that isn't at the overcrowded, somewhat overrated Albertson's Market and Walmart stores." The employees - when not busy gossiping with their shopper friends - are usually friendly and helpful. The parking lot is private with plentiful spaces even for all the big stupid jacked up trucks that fly down Grimes Street. Took a star away because they don't maintain the parking lot or the premise very well at all. There's always trash and boxes stacked everywhere. Additionally they put expired food on the shelves. I know mac and cheese probably is okay after it is "best by December 2022," but it's been in the box for quite some time already. Also, because while their recent renovation has proved to be a huge benefit, they can't seem to fix the "Tap Pay" aspect of their card payment machines. "Yeah, they quit working as soon as we were done renovating," one employee stated. Okay... so have it fixed.

The employees lent us a cozy welcoming. One lady in particular accommodated my daughter with some Hey Dudes. They were too big. The Hey Dude section was small and limited. That was the extent of their offerings for my girls. It was disappointing. Their prices were comparable to other places in town. Because of the service, though, I will return to check out the women's selection which seems to be vast. Ample parking is available out front. They're decorated for the holiday season already!

They don't have the brands I usually go for, but it is better than any store in town. They have Uggs, Clarks, Naturalizer, Sperry's, Merrell. They have nice boots, and the customer service is good. They're very attentive, and eager to answer my questions. I didn't buy a boot here, but I would consider coming back if I need new shoes.

I have been searching for a few things for my new house…read more My mom asked me, "Have you been to Nam's [Antiques & Collectibles] behind Big Lots?" It donned on me finally where this place was. Getting here is like driving through a life-size version of Ninetendo's Excitebike: the parking lots are filled with huge potholes, speed bumps, and unmarked spots. (Did I just show my age with that analogy?) There is free parking. Once inside, they don't allow large bags due to shoplifting. Some spaces are so tight that I would have hated having an oversized purse. Their vendors have mostly recognizable boundaries, so in the case that an item is (unusually) unmarked you'll be able to ask for the price without too long of a wait. There were quite a few pieces I would consider if I was move-in ready. There were tons of books I'll most likely be purchasing in a few months. Plus some nice jewelry & home decor antiques. Great finds at Nam's with friendly, assistive staff members.
