We stopped into the Walmart in Hope, Arkansas, just to grab a few road trip essentials. The parking lot was easy enough to get into, but once inside, the vibe felt a little chaotic. A few aisles were cluttered, and it took longer than expected to find someone for help. That said, the shelves were mostly stocked, and the self-checkout lanes made it easy to get out once we had what we needed. Staff seemed a bit stretched--some friendly faces, but also a few who looked like they were just trying to survive their shift. It wasn't the worst Walmart I've been to, but it didn't exactly impress either. Just your standard stop: not great, not awful--just okay. Three stars. read more

This walmart has one end for entrance and exit. I would think this is a fire hazard. Handicap parking is worthless, because you have to walk twice or further then what it used to be. I am 71 years old and have pheripheral dystrophy. I am limited on my walking distance. The last time I went to walmart in Hope they had no sanitizer for carts and none for hand sanitizer. The employees did not wear masks til a couple weeks ago. I do not need anyone telling me what to do. I was born a free person and decide what is best for my family. Open back up before there is a protest. read more

This is for the paint department. I was standing there for I know a good 5 minutes, and there were two workers Talking to each other. One left, eventually, and I was still standing there. A simple "can I help you?" Would've been great- especially in this department. The man just kept playing on his device and ignoring me. I took a few paint samples and left. Some of the cashiers who work there are a little rude too. A customer shouldn't go through an entire transaction and just hear "7.95" at the end. Just my opinion though. read more

My husband and I was traveling through Hope, AK on my way to TN. The trailer we were hauling had two flat tires (one regular tire and the spar tire). Since Walmart is not 24/7 anymore due to COVID, my husband and I had no options other than to unload the motorcycle off the trailer, put the spar tires in the back of the truck and find a hotel for the night. This is already an irritating situation, and it also started to rain. The next morning we went to a few businesses that all referred us to the local Walmart Tire Center. Great, no problem, well this place has some BIG problems! We arrived at Walmart at 11:30, making us second in line for service. This is where it got bad; the Tire Center does not open until 12noon, on this day there were about 8 employees. None of these 8 individuals knew how to use the machine to register vehicles. One of the eight individuals knew how to use the machine to change the tire, and knew how to put air in the tire correctly. The rest of the 7 employees stood over this one poor employee and watched him. While my husband is watching all of this, I went inside to get something while they did what they needed to do. I was LOCKED IN the tire center for two hours. Not one employee came to the area, and when I asked for help no one came. Apparently the door leading to the garage has to be opened by a button by the cash register or opening from one of the employees from outside. Going back to the poor employee that did his job, we watched cars line up and business get backed up. (Yes we have been there for 2 hours now and the other person who waited with us is also getting irritated.) I ask the employee what is taking so long to put ONE tire on a rim, and allow me to purchase a second tire. THEY DID NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING BUT CHANGE THE NEW TIRE ON THE RIM ..... 4 HOURS LATER ....... they had completed 4 oil changes and one tire change, and they finally get to us (who was there before the line of vehicles to begin with) After asking for a manager, because I was still locked inside Walmart, she came and rudely ignored me for 45 min. Then she finally asked me what I needed, so I told her. She replied she could not check me out until the ticket was ready. I informed her that I am buying two tires, one of which was right infant of her and the other in the shop. She ignores me and then told me all the employees are new hires except for one and I need to wait my turn. After telling her I was going to write a complaint about the service, she then told me to calm down and be quiet, and also told my husband to not complain because it will not do anything. I would have driven to Texarkana if I knew I would have had to deal with this for 4 hours. read more

Went to the Hope, Arkansas Walmart today as usual to pick up food for my family. I filled my cart with groceries and headed for the check out counter. There was a long line containing families with small children and senior citizens in wheelchairs and using canes. There was only ONE cashier for all of these people who were just trying to get home for supper. I called the office and asked if they could maybe open a second register. I was told NO! This is all there will be today. I didn't realize Walmarts new slogan is "Walmart We Don't Care" I left my cart sitting in the isle and went to another store. I also started telling people in town not to take it from a store that laughs at customer service. In Hope there is Super1, Piggly Wiggly and Barry's. All of which I will continue to recommend loudly in my town. Walmart has become Kmart. They no longer care about us. So why should we. read more

Recently, Walmart removed the benches from the inside of the store. These benches are utalized by the elderly who are waiting on their family or friends . It is difficult for them. Could you please put them back. Thank you read more

I believe this is the worst Walmart I have ever been to,aisle are constantly changing,they don't put out stuff in in outdoors til season is right on top of them,go to buy one pizza and not one person at checkout aisle so have to use them self check out and all screens are locked up and no one knows how to fix them so all people you have that could be in aisle checkout are in self check trying to figure that crap out and you can't get checked out so the best thing to do is put your stuff back and hope on a better day or when super 1 is open, it makes going to Texarkana such an easy idea to do because Walmart in hope doesn't have no organization or knowledge to run the machines read more

Hope WalMart is the WalMart I prefer in SouthWest Arkansas. The reason why is because it is ALWAYS STOCKED. I have never once been in there for something and came out empty handed. They also have a salon and a children's play area. read more
