UPDATED REVIEW (October 29, 2017) Clean store, friendly greeters, the team seems to be working better together because of the better feel of the atmosphere. UPDATED REVIEW (December 6, 2016) Improving. (OCTOBER 2016, one month after opening): It's so sad to see this store declining so fast. I stopped in for a few quick items and decided to make a pit stop, only to find the weekends bathroom in disarray. I immediately went to a manager asks explained that the ladies restroom needed cleaning. Quickly, she called out for someone to clean it. This was all fine and good. However, imagine my surprise when I went in at checkout to see the progress of the cleaning and was met with an even more chaotic situation. First, it's just sad when trifling people ruin something because they apparently lack home training for using the bathroom in public facilities. Second, I was greatly disappointed that the unclean bathroom was not corrected after an hour. If that person worked for me he would be fired, our at least put on report. Still, the height of my frustration cans from my second request to two managers standing at a checkout as I came from the still dirty restroom, both brushed me off with a quick nod and a patronizing "uh huh". The store in general is still new looking and the workers are in general still very friendly and helpful, but this thing today just baffled and saddened me. If you want a nice looking store then you have to keep it clean. Other businesses will hesitate to come to the area if the community becomes known for trashing businesses. This I speak to my shopping neighbors and to the managing Walmart staff. Some may say that the bathroom issues are minor or being blown out proportion, but whatever is done or allowed behind doors becomes habit and practice for other common areas without correction. Ugh, I just have to stop studying because I'm starting to get frustrated again... ORIGINAL REVIEW (September 2016): This store is brand spanking new as of today's grand opening! It is indeed a SUPER STORE with all of the trimmings. They have groceries (including an excellent variety of non-meat frozen items), clothes, electronics, paper goods, automotive, and so much more. The new Olympia Fields location is not 24 hours, at least that's what the last person told me (new workers still being acclimated to the new store also). The last person, I believe she was a manager said that the store is open from 6am to midnight, which is good for me since anything before 6am is sleep time. As with app new things, everything is clean, including the bathrooms. I will definitely change my review of this becomes an issue. You can enter the lot from Western or from Lincoln Highway, another convenience. As a nearby resident, I am looking forward to the holiday sales and using their HUGE parking lot to run laps, maybe walk, but it's on a nice sized piece of property and will no doubt greatly help to revive the local economy by drawing other big box companies to the area. Friendly greeters all over the store, hopefully they can maintain the atmosphere, cleanliness, and the variety and quality of merchandise. WELCOME TO OLYMPIA FIELDS!

I shop here at least weekly and find all I need at reasonable prices. I also find the self checkout to be easy to use.

I have had my Children's medications here due to Walgreens terminating their contract with Aetna and Walgreens does a better job with pt care. They are constantly disgruntled. The pharmacy tech with the chubby cheeks is never helpful. The pharmacist with the hard to understand Nigerian accent is bothered when you are looking to resolve a medication problem. The prescription was sent over w the child's name misspelled but the birthdate is correct. They ended up receiving it, telling me that it was misspelled and put it back on the shelf after it wasn't picked up. I wasn't even aware that they located it after all my calls and being yelled at by said thick accent Dr. I called several times on different days about this and the clinic resent it twice. I went today for different scripts and the pharmacist asked me to circle around so she could re-run the script. I pointed out that the pt portion was an incorrect financial amount. She said it would take a bit. There were 7 cars behind me. I opted to go in and it was ready by the time I walked up with no one at the counter. Jennifer or Sarah or whatever basic name the current white coat was given could have just ran it through as it was fairly quick. I am in health care, we go out of our way for pts. No one looked for my child's name after calling or tried to resolve the problem. They yelled, IT NOT HERE!! It's all in customer service. The CVS was shut down in the Heights and they should do the same to the Olympia fields store. I call scripts for my Dr to this pharmacy and they don't give better care to other health establishments either. They're rude on the phone when you call a script in and say leave it on the voicemail. My family moved to a more proficient pharmacy with people that are aware of how to complete their jobs and how to help patients and health care workers. We even pulled this store from our list to call in Rx's. We refuse to deal with their staff and give out paper scripts if you go to this pharmacy. Definitely bad for business CVS.

This was a hygiene product. Not sanitary or sellable to the public. My 87 year old mother needed it ASAP so I got stuck paying full price for something that should have been pulled from the shelf and disposed of. Cashier said they don't discount damage merchandise, than go in the back storage room and get the customer a sealed new product. Not a fan of their pharmacy either. I stand in line at the pharmacy counter as their full attention is on the hugh line at the drive-up window. People in the store should not have to wait for a car that is fifth in line.

This is a story of how a corporate conglomerate treats it's customers. They project themselves as…read morenecessary neighbor entity. I beg to differ. My experiences with this company have been anything but necessary or appreciated. My name is Antoine Wair. I joined Walmart+ and upon looking into more - I didn't see full benefit utilizing this division of the company. The cancellation of services was rather immediate. This occurred November of 2025. Unbeknownst to me, even though I called & spoke with someone to cancel the services the charges continued. They were continuously being billed even after receiving confirmation of cancellation. On April 13, 2026 I saw another Walmart charge hit my account. I called & spoke with a Walmart representative, that assured me of a complete refund of each charge that had processed. An email confirming the cancellation was sent & I was told seven to ten business days would be the waiting period for said refund. That timeframe came & went. Upon following up with Walmart I encountered buffoonery of the highest order. The initial representative was semi helpful. She even offered to "escalate" my issue to have the refund processed even faster than normal. That's when a supposed manager named Mohammed joined the call. He so eloquently explained how the system only showed November through January payments as eligible for refund. When asked about February til April he said "the system was not allowing him" to see any other payments. Therefore, since he didn't see them nothing could be done for those months. However, he so graciously offered to refund me the first three months as a courtesy. Upon asking him if time stopped in his world, he sounded offended by my non acceptance of his efforts to appease. I asked him, is this a standard practice that Walmart implements on it's customers? If done continuously out the day - this is merely another way of keeping profits in Walmart's pockets. Just another example of something for people to look out for while dealing with this company. The deceptive & deceitful business practices are downright shameful. The individual I spoke with claiming to be management was so many things. He showed himself to be a non-communicative, non-listening, pseudo intelligent shell of a person. The fact that he elevated to a position of authority says so much about Walmart. Why are these qualities celebrated & rewarded by Walmart? A better question is, "why rob the very consumers your company's success was built on?" A customer never no more, Antoine Wair

I will be bringing my business elsewhere I can go to target and be treated fairly. I will continue to post all over social media. Hopefully u change your racist attitudes. Now that I live outside of Chicago proper, I no longer have access to some of the specialty markets and grocery stores I used to frequent. Meijer tends to meet my needs when it comes to grocery, home products, casual clothing, personal care products, and gardening. Two things that stand out the most was their gardening products. I had started gardening, so seeds, plant food, gardening soil, and other gardening items were reasonably priced. Being a pescatarian, there vegetables worked for me. But now that I grow my own, the gardening catalog worked perfectly for me. As to grocery, although there has been spike in grocery prices, they were not as high as I noted at other grocery stores. It helps that I take advantage of coupons, specials, and price reductions thanks to participating in their perks program. This store serves four immediate suburbs, so it tends to get busy on weekends, for sure. I go during the middle of the day when I work from home through the week. I have yet to go and not find what I needed. And because I am a very picky shopper, primarily from the perimeter of the grocery store, I have not been disappointed in what they have.

We're getting online orders. She was not willing to help me. It was one of the worst experiences I've had at Meijer and Meijer is my favorite store.
