Walmart is the best. I Love their George Tshirts and probably have every color, style in my closet now lol the store does its best when it comes to customer service but falls short on occasion but what would expect when the customer count outnumbers the staff 30 to 1 majority of the time or even more during the holiday seasons so I give it up to them.... Plus let's not talk about the types of characters the staff has to deal with, we've all seen those videos haha I love Walmart for what they provide for the community. Most often when I visit the Renton Walmart and need assistance I'm met with attitude, complacency and or ignorance. As mentioned before, I have MS and walking is difficult. In addition I've recently undergone orthoscopic knee surgery at the beginning of the March. Upon entering Walmart I found there were no shopping carts available. Carolyn sees me and ask if I needed a cart, I said yes. She asked me to wait and walked out into the parking lot to find a cart. Another customer was just finishing loading her purchases so Carolyn offered to return the cart for her. Upon returning to me she was approached by another customer who wanted the cart. She apologized and motioned to me as to say it was taken. This is the 1st time I've ever experienced exemplary customer service at this Walmart. I was beside myself! Carolyn, thank you for your service! I worked in customer service in one form or another for 32 years and it was really refreshing to have this experience. read more

If I could, I would rate it a 0. I have always known Walmart to not be the greatest, but this one is by far the worst one. Employees are so rude to the customers and refuse to help them find items. I went in there looking for an item asked an employee if they carry the item. She looked for a second and then walked off. She couldn't come back to the aisle; we were in looking for the item to say no, they do not carry it. No, she decided to move her pallet and kept on working. Then, another employee calls management to say they are being harassed by us as we were trying to question the pricing on another product as the shelving says one price, and it comes up as another price. We bring it to their attention, but all the employee does is keep saying that it is not my problem and the price that you paid is the correct pricing. Asked for management several times, which the employee refused to get to explain the issue. Management is so full of themselves that they had the security guard follow us to our car to tell us we are trespassed from this location because of harassment. That for one thing made me feel really unsafe as I have a newborn. When husband said that management needs to tell them themselves, they couldn't even come. They called the cops and were quick to point out where we were parked and went back inside. Management only believed their employee and refused to listen to the other side of the story. If I could, I would rate this place 0 stars. It is probably the worst Walmart (which says a lot since Walmart in general sucks). I rarely go to this one and today I was reminded why. 1. The employees refuse to watch where they're going. I was pushing my cart when 2 employees, at two different sections just walked right out in front of me causing me to almost one. No apology, just a dirty look. 2. The "cashier" at the self-serve was clueless. The one I was at was having issues so I activated the help button. She looked at me once and walked away. I finally figured out what the problem was but that jerk just kept avoiding me. 3. The greeter, or whatever the hell you call the people in the yellow vest, was just an asshole. They never check receipts so I had stuffed mine in one of my bags. Started to look for but still couldn't find it. He told me to empty the bags. Excuse me? I found it and he can piss off. 4. Stopped at the McDonald's on way out and went to sit in the lobby while I waited for my food (my knee was hurting). The cashier informs me they are expecting a large delivery and I couldn't sit in the lobby area. Ummm ok. Not one delivery was made while I waited. 5. The customers are just as bad as the employees. Rude and obnoxious. Guy comes around the corner and slams into my cart. Again, no apology. Didn't even acknowledge me. Okay, well, based on that behavior, he may well have a Walmart employee. There are all kinds of shady people hanging out in the parking lot. You really don't feel safe. I refuse to go there when it's still dark. I'm not a fan of Walmart in general but I can get things there for a better buy then anywhere else so, yeah, I still go. However, I will never step foot in this one again. I find it absurd that this location has stayed open as long as they have. Until management either starts hiring customer service oriented people or starts actually caring that their workers are just plain jerks (lol I know, right), won't be going back. I'll stick with the one in Factoria which has way better customer service and I've never been treated so rudely. I know Renton Walmart losing my business won't impact their store and that's okay. This is the MOST UNORGANIZED WALMART EVER! Their employees don't know anything. They adopted a pickup option to containers where you're literally calling someone's cellphone and nobody answers. I had to call the number 10x in a row to receive an answer from someone who sounded half sleep- asking me 100 questions, when their only job is to give ppl their items!! I had a cane in my shopping cart and had parked it under a display of crockpots so I wouldn't block other shoppers from the Halloween candy. I turned to grab a bag of candy and my shopping cart and cane had disappeared. It had only been sitting there for a minute or two and I was only feet away. I approached Archeleta the receipt checker and greeter at the store to tell her what happened and ask her how I could get my cane back. She said it was my fault for not watching my stuff carefully. I asked her if she could call security to see who had taken my cart or a manager so I could get assistance with getting my cane back. She ignored me and kept checking receipts while giving me the stink eye. She finally told me to go to guest services and get help there. She was extremely unfriendly and said it wasn't her job, her job is to only check receipts. She was argumentative and said it's not her problem so go to guest services. I had to walk across the store without my cane or a cart and got no help from guest services. After waiting 30 minutes for a manager to show up, I just happened to see the guy who had taken my cart with my cane. I told him off and said I had been trying to find my cane this entire time because he was too lazy get his own shopping cart. He had a shopping cart but he had taken my cart for his wife. I'll never leave a shopping cart unattended for a second after this incident, but I thought employees would at least care a little. I guess Walmart hires people no one else will hire for a reason. Archeleta is a terrible greeter and shows she could care less about customers. She has a constant scowl on her face and refuses to help customers. Merchandise on floor. Very loud. Lines that go all the way to the back of the store. All but 3 lines are self checkout, which are rarely used and half the self checkouts don't work. Waited in line for AN HOUR for a 5 minutes shopping trip just to have registers crash, management not explain why to the customer. I had to help pay for a customers order because they just wouldn't suspend an order to ring up on the other. Also very rude supervisor to her employee. This location is sketchy as is and the Walmart itself is just horrible. read more

I took my 6 year old daughter into the restroom and this is what we found. I really avoid using the restroom here because I feel like I'll catch a disease walking in there. There was an employee using one of thre stalls that didn't seem to that the restroom looked disgusting. As I'm walking around in there looking for the paper that says the last time the restroom was serviced she shows me the space on the wall where apparently the clipboard is supposed to be. An empty wall with four holes where apparently it would hang. The wall was empty, no clipboard. You should be shut down by this alone. Your employees have no problem with the restrooms looking like this is what really bothers me. This to me says employees they're don't even care for washing their hands. Why would they? No standards! Worst customer service ever. There were 3 lines at customer service but one one took returns so 2 employees literally doing nothing. The line had over 20 people in it for returns. Get to the front and they claim that they can't take online returns because their machine is broken! So I waited 45 minutes for nothing! No apology just no we can't take it with no explanation. When the lead finally explains the machine is broken I asked why there isn't a sign or someone telling people if you're trying to return an online item our machine is broken he said just go return it online or come back when it works. He couldn't tell me when the machine would work. Walmart has the worst online shopping experience and even worse employees. They don't respect customers and wonder why they lose customers! I avoid Walmart like the plague and this is why! I regret buying this one item and have been reminded why I never step foot in a Walmart if avoidable! Won't make this mistake again! Will continue shopping at Target and Amazon where customer service is excellent and the shopping and return process is easy. By the way this store is disgusting! It completely nasty. I went to get phone and had lousy service not once but entire time...finally I said something as calm as I could and the Associate setting up the phone purposely changed my password.I got the message "your password has been changed"...so thank goodness got message and checked and yes...they didn't did..so I had to call customer care, etc...so I went and got manager and showed her message and she would not go back there and confront them. I saw the Associate write down my pin number in her little book but according to Customer Care - it was totally different but Manager refused to confront them saying g it was probably an accident...totally not! Poorly managed & operated. Spent 40 minutes in line to check out at a self checkout. There are nearly 200 people in line with 6 registers open. I've counted at least 8 employees having one on one conversations and just walking around the store. Lines are backed up from both the deli entrance to the garden center for the 3 rows that have cashiers open. Spoke with the manager via phone while in line and she doesn't seem to think there is any issue and this is business as usual. There are 20 + closed registers with these lines. I was in the Bellevue store today. !st time in a long time. Service was excellent. Other customers very polite and helped Seniors at check-out. Although the store is a bit of a drive for me, will shop there again. One suggestion- shelves of many of the drugstore items were depleted. Obviously a draw for many in these tough economic times. You expect a certain level of ineptitude and apathy at any Wal-mart and this store more than exceeds that level. You might say they have achieved a higher level of both. There are a lot of items to purchase and no one to help direct you to where those items are located. If you ask someone, they will probably not answer you. The return line moves particularly slow and when there are a lot of customers, there seems to only be one sales associate working the register. Caught a man recording me in the dressing room. Be aware of your surroundings. As I was changing in the dressing room, I noticed someone walk up to the dressing room and place a stack of videos/dvds, still not really sure what he had stacked up but the phone blended in. He placed this stack of items by the door and as I began to focus in the mirror, I realized there was a phone sitting closest to me on the side of this stack of items. As I went to grab it, he snatched up the stack and walked off and I flung the door open to see him. A hispanic man with an orange work vest walking away quickly and looking back at me. I dont know where the dressing room attendant was but she wasnt there/paying attention. Be aware!!! This is known as the hood Walmart. You will def run into people you havn't seen in forever here. This place is always jam packed with people eager to spend their hard earned dollars as quick as they can. I think the Renton police are there everytime I go due to people getting caught stealing. I actually caught a man recording me as I changed in the dressign room and came out and say him getting away. I purchased a vinyl record online. The record was terribly warped. It happens. I did the online return process and needed to drop the record off at a WalMart and show my return form with a barcode. Easy right? Not at this location. Waited in line forever and then was denied my return. The woman made up multiple excuses finally settling on me not having a card board box she could use to ship the record wherever it needed to end up. They were doing this with other people as well. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother whose voice has been silenced by her superiors whose only intention is to "make a sale" and not a care for their employee's health and well-being. ***Please take your time to read this and SHARE her story*** For the past 13 years, my mother has devoted her time and life here. She spend most of her time as a cashier and just recently, she moved to jewelry with a $1 raise on her hourly rate. My mother is one of the most hardworking women I know. As a matter of fact, she spent most of her time working and being around other people than being at home. All she wants to do on her 2 days off is to not just rest, but to also do the laundry, clean the house, cook...and then she'll lay down and rest. To her, doing all those things gave her a sense of calmness from all the hustle and bustle of working 40 hours every week. I cherish every moment that she's at home. As a matter of fact, she missed lots of family gatherings within that decade because she'd rather work and pay our house bills than to be with family -- because that is her responsibility as a parent. Throughout medical school out of state, I witnessed her ups and downs at work. She would always have a story to tell us whenever we got the chance to catch up. Most of her stories though, unfortunately, involve her superiors and their treatment towards her. Just last year, she was yelled at by a manager in front of customers...yes, in front of customers. She never did anything wrong. She was simply complying to the store's rules and regulations but to her manager, she did something wrong so "the customer is always right." As her son, it is hard for me to hear my mother being bitched at by people who use their power not to lead by example, but to put others first even when they know they're wrong. My mother is an emotional individual, so all she could do is apologize and cry it out. Just a few weeks ago, she opened jewelry and again, she was screamed at by a customer who thinks they're ALWAYS right. She told us that her manager didn't even do anything to protect her and her rights as an employee. All she could do is again, cry it out and move on with her 8 hour shift. Then comes yesterday...when the same thing happened again. But this time I will give you details because my mother has reached her breaking point at this point. One customer wanted to return/exchange an item. My mother told this customer that they cannot do that because they did not purchase the item from there. So the customer started yelling and cursing at my mother, threatened to call corporate, etc. Her manager came over to talk to the customer and then my mother. The manager talked to my mother, she said and I quote, "I am the boss here so do as I say." The manager also brought up her prior 'offense' and used it against my mother. So then the customer started screaming at my mother again telling her that they are able to do that. My mother called us on her break and she was breaking down. I do not want any sympathy for my mother; that's our job as her family. The point I am trying to make here is that...NO, customers are NOT always right. Especially if they're going against store policies. In addition, managers here are USELESS. They need to know that there is a difference between being a leader and being a boss. Clearly they think so highly of themselves just because of an occupation title. If that's the case, then okay... I AM A DOCTOR. ALWAYS FOLLOW MY PRESCRIPTIONS AS THEY WILL BE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. I ALWAYS KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU. But you see, I am a doctor. But I am not like that. Speaking of medicine, this location has had COVID cases (in the double digits) within their employees lately and they are covering it up. As a doctor, I have all the right to report them to OSHA and other WA health officials for misconduct and endangering not only their employees, but also every single customers who walk in there to shop. **I wanted my mother to quit her job a long time ago because I have a career now. But she wanted to keep working. She and my father do not want to stop working because they grew up working and providing for their family. Those qualities that my parents possess are what got me through medical school. But there is always a piece of me that dies whenever I hear my mother being mistreated for things she cannot thoroughly defend herself from. So here I am being her voice. Heck, I am an active investor of Walmart. But after today, I will move my money into another company where I know my money is being taken care of---and that reflects towards how their employees are being treated. Please share this, if possible. This is the simplest thing I could do for my mother after all of her and my father's sacrifices for us. Thank you for listening. P.S. Went to Walmart to return a vehicle battery core and was directed to a customer service desk where I stood my turn in line then after say 4 customers and 20 or so minutes I learn I'm in the financial transaction only service desk. My bad so I mossie on down to the correct customer service desk which is oh no less than 10 carts deep in a single social distancing filed line which ultimately delivers to the 2 customer service employees behind the desk. The woman who helped me was efficient enough. No funny business. Luckily I had my original receipt. The employee mentioned needing a break. Literally and figuratively I assumed. The wait in line was about 30 minutes which was to be expected. Last time I came to Walmart to return a battery core the customer service desk was already closed although the store remained open for at least 2 more hours so back to the car with an car battery which is always super light and easy to lug around. Again my bad for not knowing the hours. My review is probably similar to most the observation of enticingly low prices will draw you in then the observation of Walmart employees who are obviously overworked and under paid. But one visual that left me with one eye brow raised was a cart full of groceries amount the slew of go-backs which were sitting waiting to be whisked away by the next available designated employee. My question is who monitors how long said perishables including dairy products are sitting in refrigerated before they make it back to the cooler. And who the heck returns milk anyways?? Weird. Where do rejected dairy items end up. I hope not at my house. read more

The few times I have gone here, I have felt like I am in danger. This place is so sketchy it's not even funny. Doesn't help when you are walking in and two cop cars come flying up to the front door; though it does make me feel a tiny bit safer.... Can't even go in the daytime without constantly looking over my shoulder. Never ever been brave enough to go at night, I'm not a daredevil like some of you. So many creepy, dirty, beyond rude people here. I've had people follow me through the store....and to my car!!! No room to walk through aisles, people leave their carts in the middle and won't move if you say excuse me. People leaving their go-backs everywhere, or on the floor in the middle of the aisle. Parents who can't control their screaming children, and instead of trying to quiet them all you hear is "get yo ass back here!" Classy. I wouldn't recommend touching ANYTHING. I've never bought food here, or anything other than like cat litter, too scared it might be contaminated. Such a dirty, smelly store. The lines to check out are insanely long. Don't even bother going through self checkout; last time I watched 2 ladies sort through their pile of 8 ID cards from different countries trying to find a certain one. SKETCH. And people are just dumb, they don't know how to scan an item and put it in their cart. Avoid this place at all costs if you can. Yes it is cheap cause it is Walmart, but don't risk your life.
