Yes. If I could give them a zero, I would. I have been using the Ruidoso walmart for some time, it's 1 hour and 9 minutes from where I live. I went in yesterday for some basics and I needed 6 x 32 gig SD cards. I got the basics first and then went for the SD cards. It took a while to find them and the clerk was no help, walking around with her nose attached to her phone. The 32 gig cards were all the way at the bottom of the display. I picked one up and looked at it to see if it was the right one. It was so I grabbed the other 5 and went to the front checkout. I checked out and one of the cards scanned twice so I didnt scan one of the last cards. I paid and checked the receipt to make sure I paid for all the cards but I noticed that they were not all the same cards. I needed micros and there were full size cards on the receipt. The guy at the checkout directed me to go to customer service and they would fix it. I took the cards to the customer service and the clerk there refunded me for the two cards but he told me I needed to take the rest back and have the security tags removed. So I did. I got to the desk in electronics and the clerk was helping another customer so I waited. The clerk finished with that customer and stuck her nose back into the phone and walked past me even though I was at the register. I had to yell HeLLO to get her attention and she said sorry I didn't see you. I explained that I needed the security tags removed and handed her the cards and the receipt. She looked at the receipt and said that one of the cards was not on the receipt. Low and behold the card that double scanned was on the receipt and one of the cards I needed was not. So she refused to remove the tag off one of my cards and I had not gotten a refund for the third wrong card that had scanned twice. So there was a brief argument trying to explain what happened. I had picked up the two cards that I needed and I had told her that I needed to pay for those two but she acted like I was stealing the third card because it wasn't on the receipt. I was getting mad. I pushed back the two that I needed to buy to her and took the cards I had paid for to the service desk and tried hain the explain what had happened to the clerk. She too kept asking why the card that still had the tag was not on the reciept. I finally just told her to refund the whole thing which she didnt seem to want to because the card with the tag wasn't on the reciept. She finally went over and grabbed one of the wrong cards which I had previously returned. Anyhow I felt insulted and frustrated that I could not easily resolve the situation. I'm done with that walmart store and will drive the extra 25 miles to another store If I go to walmart at all. The catalist were, wrong cards being mixed with right cards, a double scan of a wrong card, having to go back to have the security tags removed, an very inattentive clerk, treating me like a thief because ine of the cards was not scanned because of a double scan, and just basically not listening to what I was saying. It's our ritual to come shop here when we come to Ruidoso, and with the long weekend, we needed to stock up! We found everything we needed quickly, and easily. This store was fully stocked, and as always, we were greeted by Bill, the door greeter! He's very nice, and always here ready to hand you a cart and especially a smile. read more

Overall, this Walmart is a standard store. Usually there's a "Clearance Isle" and it is very unorganized. On this trip it was neat as a pin! Today's mission: Indoor Flat Paints to renovate two bedrooms. Speaking with the typically excellent Department Manager, Mark, he was frustrated that he could not mix colors of my choice, explaining shortages had caused his inventory to be depleted. You could tell he was passionate about paint. Anahi, his wonderful assistant, was more pragmatic. Anahi, a true merchandizer, enthusiastically pursued alternatives, finding 6 gallons of a flat base in the marked-down section. Sadly, it could not be mixed with pigments needed to make the darker colors I wanted, but Anahi found it could be used for slightly lighter shades, and ended up selling me 7 gallons of paint. This store is average. The choices are limited. The produce department is limited. The produce is very limited. Often out of date. Clothing department choices are not very stylish and very dull. The Belen Walmart is a better store. Great produce department!! All departments are well stocked. Self check out is forced on you. Just drive to Belen!! read more

It's not a bad Walmart but it is also not the best Walmart that I have been to and I have been to many in different states and cities... When we arrived, the greeter was a sweet old man and he made our experience off to a good start! Everything was going great but my one big gripe with this place and it was bad enough to knock it a star was how confusing the entire store is to find stuff. Most Walmarts have the same basic set up but this one was very confusing. We spent 10 minutes trying to find eggs and we couldn't find anyone to ask where they were after looking everywhere and then my nephew sees them on the side of the aisle in a small fridge. I feel if they are going to be that much different than other Walmarts, they need to have better signs. Other than those little things, it's a decent Walmart especially considering how small the town is! read more

Product availability is up, but the two stars end there. My wife is physically disabled. Upon entry we were told all the wheelchairs were out as was the one electric cart for the entire Supercenter. I went across the store twice snd twice up and down. Never found a wheelchair in use. There were none. Never found an electric wheelchAir except one in the check out. It is obvious this Walmart does not accommodate the disabled. We went to the nearest competitor snd there were three ready for use. Let the evidence speak for itself. Hope Management reads this snd effects change. The competition's price is a little higher but the risk of her falling is much less. Update: 6-16-21 Went to competition they had 3 carts ready, Walmart had one and one waiting with two ordered for a store 3 x the competition. read more

You can't find anything OR they're out of stuff. Little to no help from employees. They used to have the best meat market in Lincoln County. Not anymore. The store 50 miles away in Alamogordo is somewhat better. read more

No issues with this Wal-Mart. Ample parking and hey they even let the weary RVer stop for a spell. They do seem to have an issue of enough employees at times but that's a city wide issue. I love how you will see diversity and letting the challenged have a job. Sure they run out of stuff on occasion but they have trucks that come 25/7 so it will be stocked again soon. So many smiles and hellos all around. Remember one Wal-Mart in this resort town and they are doing the best they can. Don't give up and be thankful for one stop shopping. read more

I have no issue with this Walmart. It's clean. Nice bakery. Regular super Walmart. It's nice that in this small town if you need something late at night there is something open. The town rolls up and shuts down around 8. Albertsons is so overpriced and small. I find Walmart to be an extreme value in this resort where everything is overpriced. Be grateful it's here. And by the way i just called to double check that they were open 24/7. The sweetest woman who called me sweety and honey (which being southern i find a term of endearment) explained they are opened except Christmas. And all departments are open but staff is short at night in the departments. I'm fine with that. As far as some items being out especially weekends or Mondays is because it IS a resort town and they can't keep always predict how busy a certain weekend will be. This Wal-Mart has gone done the tubes,to put it nicely. I drive down from Capitan,to get a normal item that should be overstock, printer ink. They are out! Poor management,if something sells off the shelf, order more! Is that so hard to figure out? They have a new thing,well not so new,but has 2 prices on everything. Before they had regular price,then a new dropped price. Now both prices are the same, tags are 2 different colors. Is this trickery? Watch tags,you are not getting a deal. I hate this Wal-Mart. Where can you get your gas, hardware, fishing supplies, lawn items, food and clothes ALL in one spot? Seriously people, Wal Mart is GOLD! Just be patient and wait in the long lines and do not bother the workers (as they are treated horribly since I used to work for Wally Mart - its just crappy!). Just KNOW that you are "on your own" for shopping and do you best, get your stuff and suffer thru the checkout line but BE POSITIVE, at least you get all your stuff in one spot ! If ya think it was tough finding everything, wait till it's time to check out. I've never seen check out lines this long! What does it take for someone to notice that the lines are backed up into the store and take the appropriate action to open another register. Yes, that means even you manager. If you're short on staff, it's time to do what the store is there for,... take the cash from customers. When it takes longer to pay than it does shopping, something is wrong. I'm sure there are people (honest people) that know the store well enough, that get frustrated to the point that they just say "screw it", and leave without paying. Now ya gotta hire help to try and stop that. OR teach security to run a register during high volume. Do whatever it takes. After all, it's the most basic of business 101. Well, where do I start... I usually end up going to Walmart because overall I save money on the total grocery bill. I can also buy other things such as garden supplies automotive supplies and electronics Pharmacy Etc. If I'm in a hurry then I probably won't go to Walmart. It takes several hours to negotiate all the areas in the store to get what I need Plus when you're in the checkout line you will probably have to wait another 20 minutes or so to get up to the front. And there's always something that I needed but they're always out of... I don't know who orders groceries but if they only have two and they run out then they only reorder two more... So they're going to run out right away! Why don't they order 8 or 10 or 20!?! On a hot day it's nice in the store because their air conditioning works great ... On a cold day the heat works good too ! So overall I give them about a c plus. read more

I became a fan of Walmart by shopping here! It can be crowded but the smarties in Alamo know the early bird gets the worm. Just show up early. They have an awesome selection of groceries. I love to browse and try new things. They have plenty of natural and healthy foods, more than Lowes or Albertsons. Everything costs less here. Example: Eggo waffles are $2 less than Albertsons. I even get Atlantic salmon for a reasonable price. Good selection of beers. But DO NOT use the hair salon. It pretends to be inexpensive, but they cut out parts of service to be cheaper. If you add it in (styling with a cut is extra!) it ends up being same as a better salon. They did not do a good job with my cut and color. read more

Worst Walmart location I've (unfortunately) had to visit. Constantly out of stock on numerous items, poor-quality produce, poor selection of items. It's fine if you want to buy potato chips, but for higher-quality items or personal care goods, forget it. Even if there is an item they carry, it'll likely be out of stock when you visit, even if you double check inventory online first. Too frustrating. Albertson's is a MUCH nicer option for groceries and they don't treat you like a criminal by searching your bags on the way out the door. read more

Bought 4 articles for $26.77 at the Ruidoso Walmart and self checked. Noticed late that night that I picked up my friend's package but not my own. Contacted and was told the manager named Evelyn was on vacation. I was on vacation and had to leave to come home but had a friend that said he would pick the items up. Finally reached Evelyn the following week and gave her the exact amount and register that I self checked. She indicated that she would pull the ticket and I explained that I was back home in TX. Called her back a few days later and told her that my elderly male friend was coming in to pick the items up and she said "I" would have to come in and pull the items off the shelf. I wrote Walmart on their email customer service and it was returned for not being a viable website. I wrote them a letter in Benton Arkansas and never heard back from them. I have been a Walmart customer for many many years and are very disappointed in how they handled this. read more

My wife and myself were shopping at Walmart about 2 weeks ago (05Oct17) and the associate that was handling the self checkout counters was really out of control. My wife asked him to help her with a price and he told her to get someone else: Can't you see that I'm busy? He was not doing anything except standing there reading some kind of trash paper. I did not know that he told her thank until we were out of the store. I do not take any kind of disrespect from the employees or let them disrespect my wife. Here at the Ruidoso Downs, NM store, there was a man working that has to be at least 80 years old. He can hardly walk. He got all his retirement money taken from him somehow so he has to work there to be able to buy groceries for home. The prices of everything in the store has gone up by at least 25% in the past 3 months. Of course it doesn't do any good to ask an associate because they don't know what you are talking about. The prices at Albertson's is a lot higher than that. Then we get a 2% raise on our social security!!! When my friend and me go shopping there, we get an associate as soon as we walk in the door and find out where all this stuff is located. I swear they move stuff around at night and I can never find what I'm looking for. There is a reason for that also; you have to spend all that extra time looking for your item and you accidently look at other items that you don't need that you will purchase. read more

My experience here was ridiculous. I needed help finding a couple of items in bulk. The CUSTOMER SERVICE manager, LEAH, was joke. Not once did this woman even address me. Her attitude and overall demeanor was that of an adolescent who was being punished. The only saving grace of this joke of an establishment was the young lady, DANI, who helped me initially. If Walmart's CSMs were half as courteous as their CUSTOMER SERVICE personnel, maybe they wouldn't be treated so poorly by customers. read more

We're lucky to have a Wal Mart but that being said, the running joke is, if something is popular and sells out, just don't restock that item, you can't keep it on the shelves. Three times I have bought out or nearly bought out a new item and they never restock it. I've taken to hoarding items I like that I find for the 1st time on the shelves because even if I buy most or all (Danish Dessert, liquid minerals, Pepperage Farm thin and crisp cookies) they don't carry it again. The rule of retail is if something sells out fast, restock it. The rule of this Wal Mart is, If we can't keep it on the shelves, don't order it again. read more

This is the worst WalMart I have ever been in, very disorganized and poorly stocked, not very clean either. We spent a week recently in Ruidoso, and had a hard time finding anything we needed. Time - 9:15 am and there is no one answering the phones at the 24 hr Walmart in Ruidoso Downs. Garden center out of everything but dead plants, no one knew where to find an item I was looking for (found it across from the registers!), grocery shelves were not stocked, deli personnel were rude.
