The soda fountain should be called old fashioned, it is the Original soda fountain and was state of the art when installed. Worth stopping just to see it. I bought some gifts and found out the make real malts! Yummy!

1 star - Drove an hour to support a local pharmacy. Won't make that mistake again…read more I specifically chose Sanders Drug Store because it appeared to be a small local business and I wanted to support that instead of a chain. I drove nearly an hour from out of town. When I arrived the staff made an odd comment about putting my prescriptions away "because you never know with people from out of town." After running my insurance they told me they don't accept it. Fine. I confirmed they are independent and not affiliated with Walgreens. I then politely showed them that Apple Maps lists their website as drugstore.com, which redirects straight to Walgreens. I pointed out that this is confusing and inconvenient for customers, and suggested they claim the listing and correct it. The response was condescending and dismissive: "Oh that's just a picture, that has nothing to do with us." When I tried to explain the impact of driving an hour based on incorrect information and that fixing it is straightforward, I was cut off and talked down to. Another staff member jumped in and did the same. When I asked for the cash price so I could still fill something, I got an eye roll and was told to wait to the side because there were people behind me - treated like I was interrupting them from doing their job. No mention of GoodRx or any other discount options. I paid cash for one prescription and left. This was honestly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had - only second to Hartsfield-Jackson TSA. I went out of my way to support a local independent pharmacy in an old-school building and was met with rudeness, dismissal, and zero interest in fixing a clear listing error that actively misleads customers. If this is the customer service standard, it's no mystery why so many independent drugstores struggle against the big chains. Save yourself the drive.

Besides the pharmacy, a variety of retail items and a cafe style fountain bar. The menu has breakfast and lunch items to pick from. I chose the biscuits w/gravy sausage while my husband had eggs, sausage and toast. My biscuits/gravy with sausage pile on top wasn't quite what I was expecting. I was expecting real sausage gravy. Anyway, it's a nice store and a nice downtown district so enjoy your downtown stroll.

I stopped here while on a business trip and was shocked when I received my bill…read more I ordered a $12.99 burger, a Cherry Vanilla DP for $2.80, and upgraded my fries to onion rings for $2, according to the menu. Based on those prices, I expected my total with tax to be around $19-20. Instead, my bill came to $23.38. When I called to ask about the charges, I was told they no longer had the original ticket, so they couldn't review the itemized bill. The employee explained that I had been charged $3 for the onion ring upgrade instead of the $2 shown on the menu, and that my soda had apparently been upgraded to a large without my knowledge or permission, adding another $1. They also mentioned there were several other small charges that contributed to the total, even though I never requested any extras. The restaurant refunded me $2, but that still left me paying $21.38 instead of $19 for a burger, onion rings, and a soda, which I find excessive. I've always met clients at another restaurant when I'm in town for business, but this time my meeting was here at someone else's suggestion. Compared with both the restaurant I normally visit and restaurants where I live, I found the prices and unexplained charges disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
