The Mall of Abilene is certainly better than anything in my little hometown…read more When I stopped here primarily for an Ulta order pickup on 11/21/2022, the place was easy enough to find. Plus Ulta basically had their own separate entrance for even quicker pickup. The one restroom area I saw on the directory was clear on the other side. Seems like for such a seemingly expansive mall that another set should be developed on this end. Then when I got to the women's restrooms there was an awkward line because of the tight area. There were 3 - maybe 4 - stalls. That's not enough for this mall! Lol. Then they had only the dryers you dip your hands into for drying--no paper towels which would not normally bother me but it was grungy like the rest of the facilities. Leaving the parking lot to enter the Interstate 25 west was also a bit of a hassle, but thanks to friendly folks, I got out quicker than the right-turners in front of me. Not classiest mall in Texas, but it had some good shops. Find a list of their stores here: https://www.mallofabilene.com

I will say all the employees at the stores we did visit were friendly enough. The coffee shop inside Books-a-Million was very good. I suppose I will post a seperate review for just them. The play area is for toddlers and not small children and they do beat the crap out of eachother there so beware... That's about all I've got. Nothing really spectacular. If you're just wanting to get out of the hotel/house for a bit I suppose it would do the trick.

There is an abundance of what you might find in a mall store, but in a smaller town- while still carrying some small town unique goodies. During graduation, they do gift registries for graduates, which is good to know in case you want to get a grad and not know what to get them. If you're shopping for yourself, you can almost certainly find: -I Love Lucy/Elvis/Beatles/John Wayne, etc Memoriabilia -Cool things to hang on the wall (art, hooks, signs) -Grilling Novelty Items -Handmade Candles & Preserves -Jewelry of all kinds -Purses -A million types of candies you can't find in the big city -Antiques -Stuff for Religious people and Hunters There is also a sandwhich shop/soda fountain in the back. It has limited hours, but we had some frozen cappucinos and they were pretty delicious. I think this is one of the only places in town that serves espresso drinks, to give y'all some fair warning. Another thing that was useful was that I was able to pick up a cell phone signal & 3G at that in the soda fountain area. So if you find yourself without a signal, but wanting to check in on Yelp, check out that area for a good signal. Definitely a place worth visiting in Knox City.

The front of the store sell antiques and antique replicas while the rear of the store has a lunch counter. I ended up ordering the hamburger on a homemade jalopeno/cheese bun. The burger was thick and juicy topped with cheddar cheese and a good amount of condiments (lettuce, tomato, onion). This was a very good burger, one of the best I have eaten in quite some time. The jalopeno/cheese bun was excellent and I would have eaten it alone as a roll it was so good. I ended up leaving, glad that the pizza joint across the street had been closed. Nothing fancy here...just good counter food.

LOVE IT. I had no idea they carry a great selection of Made in America dog treats at better prices than Petsmart. My sister got some great deals on planter pots for her patio; great colors, designs, and prices. Off-season socks were marked down to $1. On a low shelf, Dr Bronner's castile soaps in great scents were available (popular for homemade laundry detergent ). Like Ross and Marshall's, it's a close-out store. It's clean, well-lit, spacious, great selection of medium and high end products. When you find something you like, get it, as it's not likely to be there the next day.

That's why I won't think I be back sooner at this store and I hope that all the people who witnessed that horrible moment expressed their experience. I love that store but for people like this lady people stop going to those places and prefer to buy online. It is sad that there is still such strong discrimination and rudeness at this days especially that it was one woman to another woman.
