Walmart is Walmart. Ubiquitous and everyone knows what it looks like and feels like as a retail outlet, regardless of where you are in USA. But quite honestly, in this community, Walmart is a vital piece of this economy compared to other larger cities with more competition (like Target). This Terre Haute Walmart deserves a quick shout out because the pharmacy is exceptional and they finally repaved the parking lot. I say this having been to this Walmart maybe 100 times over the years while visiting my folks....going to the pharmacy having parked a car in their lot. The line up of staff behind that pharmacy counter has been so sincerely nice to my parents over many years. I have witnessed it countless times. They are authentic in their dealings with people and my folks and this deserves to be recognized. They are knowledgeable and professional. They are a tremendously busy pharmacy too. And that parking lot was a busted up piece of pothole crap for such a long time. What a big difference a new parking lot can make a standard Walmart feel. Well done in jazzing It up Walmart, well overdue. So yeah Walmart, you deserve some Yelp love with a 4 from me. read more

Walmart south in Terre Haute, IN needs to get the stools or chairs back in the store to sit down. I was there 3 1/2 hours on my feet to get two cell phones. Why did you take the stools out of electronics? Do you care about your senior customers? I am 81 & needed to sit down. My feet still hurts. read more

I don't mind going to this location. But that's ONLY if I'm not close to the other store. South Walmart has a disgusting issue that no employee seem to know what's the cause of. I'm writing a complaint about the recent activity of customer services. Walmart you have failed me and disappointed me in anger. So earlier today my sons came home crying because they got kicked out for no reason and accused them for stealing. So my kids came home crying because apparently this manager "Kyle'' came up to my kids and searched them for no apparent reason. So they kicked them out and wouldn't tell us why they were kicked out. So you accuse a 13 year old and a 16 year old of stealing, i know my kids wouldn't steal. All the manager told them was they got kicked out a lil bit ago and they wouldn't say any specific dates, My kids also said you grabbed there hand while they were grocery shopping, And you ask them wear the receipt was when they weren't even in there for 5 minutes!!! I bought an Apple Watch here for $190. I wanted to buy it for $159 as it was on the site. the seller told me that the price is higher because this is the second generation of watches. I was in need of a device that was in a case, I asked an associate if they could open it he said "I'll have to go get someone to open it" so I stood there. 25 minutes later I hit the button 5 times still nothing. I walked into the automotive center and asked and she said let me get the keys. She disappeared so I stood there I hit the ringer 10 minutes later still no service. I do not recommend this place and I'm very unhappy with my service! read more

It is a shame the management of this walmart is so short sighted and rude. My husband, a truck driver, stopped here to go inside and make some purchases only to be told by his company that they had been called and if he didn't leave Walmart would have his truck towed... When he called the store to make a complaint for the foul treatment the manager asked him how much could he have even possibly spent anyway... Does it matter how much he was going to spend? I can tell you how many hundreds I have spent a month there for years, on average 800 a month just for groceries for the house and I can tell you how much I will be spending there from now on, not a single cent. A truck driver is good enough only to deliver your products for you to stock your shelves but not buy from you? Alright then, that'll be just fine with me. My husband and I will be happy to take our business to a company who is appreciative of return customers. read more

Customer service here is the worst I've ever seen!!!! Their attitudes are disgusting. I came in to pick up a package and I had to wait for 15 minutes before someone finally came to the pick up section. When he finally got there he attempted to make me look like an idiot by saying "all you had to do was press that little button there, the one that says push, and someone would have came but you waited so yeah..." He wouldn't hand me my package instead he sat it across the counter although I had my hand out. Never will I shop here again. I would travel miles away before I come to this place read more

The only positive comment to make about this Wal-Mart is the less than average checkout wait compared to other locations. They are always out of something I need, they don't stock all the items I want, I've had produce spoil the day after purchase, and even after the renovations I always find myself searching for products that are not in typical locations. read more

HORRIBLE management! The door greeters are more friendly than the management. I find the younger employees are the most friendly and helpful. I bought stamps at one of the checkouts and the young girl was very nice and said I could pay for them at the register and then find someone in a yellow vest to get them. I thought it would be a better idea for them to keep stamps in their cash drawer, but I was fine with their system. I found a manager in a yellow vest and showed her my receipt and told her the cashier said I could get them from someone in a yellow vest. The woman look at me like I was an alien and mumbled something I couldn't hear and then just disappeared and left me standing there. So after a few minutes I went to the service desk and explained the situation and showed her my receipt. She was going to get me the stamp when finally the floor manager showed up with the stamps. Then today I was at one of the new conveyer checkouts and one of my items came up at $11.96 when the sticker on the shelf was labeled $8.96. I even pulled the UPC label marked $8.96 from the shelf and compared the UPC numbers on the shelf label to the UPC numbers on the item. I do this often because I realized customers put things back in the wrong place. The numbers matched up and the size and volume quantities matched as well. I asked for help from one of the checkout attendants. She kind of stood there blankly for a few minutes and then summoned one of the managers in a yellow vest who came over and as I was explaining the situation would never even look at me. She just looked at the screen. Then still without looking at me, said I'll be back. Then as she turned slowly to walk away another associate friend came up and they started a long conversation that didn't sound to be work related. I stood and waited for awhile and then finally decided that manager was in no hurry to help me. I had to find another register attendant to just remove the item from my sale so I could leave. There is one older associate that often attends the self checkouts and she is awesome! So helpful and friendly. Upper management needs to put her in charge of training the floor managers. As I was walking out the door, I glance back and that manager was still engaged in conversation with her friend. Really?! read more
