They modified the two entrance/exit points as one for an entrance only and one for the exit only due to distancing measures. They have sanitizing wipes at the entrance for the carts and masks are required. I was told by a friend that a mask could be bought for $1 here if you forget one. They did recently remove the one way signs on the floor. Not many people followed the directions when they were marked. They do have a limit on high demand items. Great meat, produce, deli, and gluten free options. When they have a sale on meat, the items always go fast. Produce selections are well stocked and in great quality. Order pick up is available with a designated drive up area. I personally have not used this service but know a few people that have. I heard positive feedback on the service so far. I'd highly recommend the produce, deli grab and go options, and gluten free / sugar free options. Several items are slightly higher priced than other options in town but they are more likely to be in stock at the store from my experience.

I long for an awesome grocery store in Grand Forks. The Hugo's on 32nd Ave is as close as it's…read moregoing to get, I fear. Pros: - decent produce department, even if part of it creeps into Dairy - new freezers! This was the biggest area of contention for me originally. Now you can actually SEE what's behind the doors! - nice meat and seafood case Cons: - pre-sliced meats in the deli. Why do the grocery stores around here do that? - no organic milk displayed with the conventional milk. You have to walk into the worst area of the store (you know, that little half-aisle where 2 aisles converge) to get any organic products. - congestion at the front of the store. If there are more than 2 customers in line, forget about being able to get around to continue your shopping. - front doors are too small. Either dedicate one as IN and the other OUT, or widen the doors. I always feel like I'm pushing past someone, or they, me. - the prices are not great. Add in the fact that the local paper gets jack for coupons, and I'm not saving nearly as much money as I'd like. Let me say that I love Grand Forks. But, as someone who has lived in big cities and small towns around the country, Grand Forks has very poor choices for buying groceries. It's possible to have a pleasant, peaceful time grocery shopping. Probably not here, but this seems to be the best there is at the moment, so I'll go with it. I can't comment on the location in EGF, as I've never been, but whatever you do, stay out of the other Hugo's in GF...yikes!

The amount of unprofessionalism and rudeness is astonishing. There is one female who I believe is some sort of lead or supervisor that is by far the worst one.
