Best Glass & Glazing

We were looking for an alternative to the standard splash back for our kitchen and found this…read moreglazing option to be of greatest interest. The process was remarkably simple and professional - measuring, a verification of the paint used for our wall to ensure a seamless match, and within a month we had it installed. There was a slight mix-up with the paint used, and they did not waste time in ordering an entire new set of glass sections and had it painted within a week. The installation was quick and efficient. The glass is the final and perfect addition to our newly renovated kitchen in Knighton/Leicester. We highly recommend Paul and his team.

There are many big national companies that replace worn wooden windows to shiny PVC. This often…read moreinvolves an innocent appointment being booked for a 'free no-obligation quote' and then a pushy salesman turning up and doing his damnedest not to leave before he has your signature to change every window in the house. I should know-I've been in that industry! Independents Raven supply a minimum of a single window up to a whole house-worth. My advice would be to measure the window that you want to replace and ring ahead to check that they have a unit of the size that you need in stock, as there is not really such a thing as a standard window size. New patio or French doors needed? They have these here too. Where Raven come into their own is that they can change locks on existing windows that you have, and at a price that is a fraction of the big window companies. Often the big companies will only be able to, (or only agree to), work on their own brand of windows, whereas this company will look change locks or make repairs to windows from any manufacturer.
The Car Spa offers a highly professional valet service to the people of Birmingham. It is clear…read morethat they have a real passion for cars and as such you can be assured that they will treat your car with the utmost respect. On top of a high quality valet service they also offer other small services such as small paint repairs which further showcase their expertise when dealing with vehicles. There are countless automated car wash services in Birmingham, most of which cost extortionate prices and do not provide an adequate service. I would suggest trying somewhere like The Car Spa as they really do take good care of your prized possession and I can guarantee you will be pleased with the results.

I was looking for a driveway to be constructed. What we had was a joint front lawn, with wall, bushes and a tree stump to be removed. Uneven ground sloping down. All groundworks were completed exactly as we wanted in fact Danny's suggestions made the final tarmac driveway with brick edging and ACO drainage. With additional roof downpipe water run off pipe laid. Tippercrete also removed a 19 foot long wall that was leaning dangerously to an adjoining property and also dug for me a cubic meter hole for a mast construction. I highly recommend Tippercrete, Danny and Karl will for sure provide the groundworks that you need.

So we were not confident Tippercrete would take up the job. Danny, however, was quite enthusiastic and assured us that he and his team could get it done. Really appreciate his suggestions and patience in explaining how the base would be laid and how it would look finally. It was worth every penny. Five stars for a fantastic job done!! The word cobbler evokes a Dickens-esque scene from the 19th century for me. I have a soft spot for…read morethese old trades that still inhabit obscure spots around the city - I admire the artisan and I admire that in an age of excessive consumption and mass manufacturing there's still enough demand for an ol' cobbler. My favourite brown oxfords had worn down to the point I was worried that they might wear through to the sole of my foot. So on a quest to find a suitable place to perform the repair on my beloved shoes, I was pointed in the direction of the Piccadilly Cobbler. I fantasised that I might have been greeted with some cockney rhyming slang and a nod of a flat cap, unfortunately my fantasy was not realised, but nonetheless he swiftly returned my shoes to their former glory as I wandered around town. Some things just can't be replaced sentimentally, aesthetically and economically so in the instance of waning soles here you have a cobbler. Good day.
Another recommendation that I would never have known about otherwise so I feel duty bound to tell…read moreyou about Heel Stop. Living in the Jewellery Quarter and wearing spiky heels do not mix! But Heel Stop repairs this type of shoes starting at £4.95 for just heels. They have just repaired one of my favourite pairs of extra comfortable (but still high) shoes; high wedges that have a rubber soul which they managed to completely rejuvenate for £14.95. My boyfriend takes all his boots their too. We both walk everywhere so there is a lot of wear and tear. On top of their fantastic prices, all the gents behind the bar always greet you like they value your business and have real pride in their work. Oh they cut keys and sell numerous related goods too. Tucked away in the indoor market, where all the food stalls are is this great value shoe repairer. In fact the only downside is the food - I'm not a big meat eater so those stalls put me off slightly but if you're on the hunt for other great value traders, this is the place to head to.

I cannot close the window securely rendering my home contents insurance null and void. Have called NEO 3 times but each time the become more rude and abrasive suggesting it's not their problem! They have refused to acknowledge my e-mails until I chase them up with more phone calls; they have refused to commit to a repair timescale - actually saying 'I'm not going to commit to a timescale as you will hold me to it' Yes - seriously!!! When I asked for a part number to order a part in myself - they had no idea as they clearly have ignored the detailed information and photographs I have given them. 'If we have to order a part in we will' - so clearly they haven't even checked. Appalling after-sales service; noting that I had 2 neighbours use them on my recommendation and they haven't so much as acknowledged that and clearly are only interested in new business. Do not give them a penny. Appalling.

I have to admit when walking into this shop for the first time, it did look like a tip and the appearance in one half of the shop was not great. But the other half of the store that had all the carpets was in much better condition. There were a number of different carpets in terms of designs and colours. I have to say the carpets on sale here are for sure affordable and not too expensive. The staff are OK but I still think Britannia Carpets could do with being refurbished. So I have no idea how much the windows cost or how helpful they were during any process that isn't just the fitting and measuring. Initial communication between us and Window Warehouse was slow; which is actually not their fault. I were sent a letter addressed to the flat not to me personally so I assumed it was junk mail and didn't read it. Two months later, I got a phone from our landlord asking me to call Window Warehouse. We arranged a time for them to come out and do the measurements and they were in and out fairly quick, this would have been around the end of September. They told us that the were aiming to get the windows replaced in about a month. The end of October rolls around and we get a call to arrange an appointment to fit them. Two men came at 8am and were done by 2pm leaving behind nice new windows. Jord and Paul who fitted the windows were friendly and helpful, talking us through what they were doing. The weather was awful and at one point it was raining in my living room but they kindly put down plastic sheeting to protect my carpet. Overall a good experience with Window Warehouse and I love my new windows!
