My son is 13 and ASKS TO GO every Sunday morning service, Sunday evening for small group connection, and also every Wednesday evening!! Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name :) Those I met were very warm and welcoming which was the overall feel of the energy here. I enjoy that meditation is part of the agenda and the discussion topic - you are the love you give- leveraged authors and books that mean something to me. The practice here is spiritual, not religious or exclusive. It feels like an invitation to join kindred spirits on our journey to raise our consciousness and exude love wherever we go. After I was invited to come to West Des Moines Christian Church, I went to the early service a couple of times and immediately realized that I couldn't wait to come back. It's a welcoming congregation and the pastors are all amazing. Seriously, this was so unexpected! It's what a church should be. I'll admit that I joined the church 6 months after I began attending. The outreach services and activities are endless. There is something for everyone: sports leagues, bible study, food pantries, mission trips, VBS, and so much more. It's awesome. I found the place where I needed to be.
