I came to Dan with a request to add custom mood lights on my SUV. He and his team did a great job wiring the lights under the seats and creating custom work around both video monitors on the ceiling. He also replaced the dealer running boards with fancy drop down boards with lights that turn on when the doors open. I had to come back once to have him look at one side that stopped working, but he immediately reviewed the wiring found the problem and fixed right away. WORST experience ever. WCC contracts with 925 tint out of san Ramon. They don't have their own professionals do their own work. After tint job there was numerous dust specs and dirt all over. It was unbelievable that they would allow that work to pass. Of course manager said this was the only time he did bad work. As professional as they think they are i was in a arguing match over getting the tint replaced and getting refunded. Warning others had a horrible experience along with horrible work. read more

This place is terrible. I had them install a new stereo two years ago. Unfortunately, I did not realize how terrible their work was until I tried to replace the stereo. These jerks had hacked into the factory wiring harness instead of using an adapter harness. It may have saved them five bucks, but it screwed up the factory wiring and made any future work a pain in the ass. These people will cut every corner that they think the customer won't notice. Yelp removes my comments stating I have not had any interaction with these guys, without contacting the customer. I could have been a hard nose and taken Walnut Creek Customs to Court, but I tried to work with them for a year hoping to correct faulty equipment and poor installation. Okay it is my fault for not being a hard nose. Stay away from them and hope that Yelp does not remove your comments without contacting you first. If yelp removes this again, I will seek complain on the state level. read more

I had my audi 2009 A4 tinted there last year and a couple months later my speakers started cutting out. I took it to audi to see what the problem was and they said " the people who tinted your windows" damaged the amplifier in their install of the tint in the back window. When wc customs cleaned the window the liquid fell down a channel right onto the amp. The cost is 1800 to fix they said. So I went to walnut creek customs and explained the situation and they said they are not going to pay for it. Now the tint is starting to bubble after a year- this place is horrible read more

I had an Eclipse AVN5500 installed in my 2001 Audi A4 3 or 4 years ago. It was a custom installation and they did a great job. Recently I went in because the black vinyl piece that framed the unit started to peel back. Not only did they remember me, but they took care of the problem and re-wrapped the piece without question. I had a custom audio system installed in my Prius about 4 years ago in Los Angeles and about a year ago, the audio started to drop out intermittently. I finally brought it in to Walnut Creek Customs and they had the problem figured out and fixed in a few hours. It turned out to be a problem with the original install which shorted out a processor. They gave me lots of options on how to fix it and when I went with the cheapest and easiest, they were agreeable and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Overall, my experience was awesome. They were honest, fast, the shop is clean and easy to get to. I will definitely go back the next time I want anything done to my car. read more

This is such a great shop with a very professional team and personalized service. They installed a great audio system in my Porsche that upgraded my ten year old car into a brand new one! Went in to get my Windows tinted a few days ago. Had shopped around for a few places around the Bay Area, and either the prices were outrageous, or they wouldn't work on an Audi, or it wasn't really practical in terms of distance from Walnut Creek, or the Yelp Reviews weren't good. Fortunately, Walnut Creek Customs scored in terms of Price, location, and relative ease for making the appointment, etc. Interacted with Dan, the owner, via email in terms of making the appointment, so that was niceand simple. Able to drop the car off prior to heading into work in the morning and then picked it up on the way home. Only issue I had was that I was told there was a key drop off box for when I left the car, but there was none. So had to simply leave my car unlocked and key in the car on the floor. The area appears to be a safe area so wasn't much concern on my part in doing so. So far the tinted windows look good, although still requires a few more days for the tint to "cure" and then I'll be able to start rolling the windows down. But I can't detect and bubbles or areas of concern so I feel confident in giving Walnut Creek Customs 4 stars. I'd have no hesitation in recommending to any of my family or friends. SiriusXM radio stopped receiving signal. Wanted to have them install an after market Sirius antenna on my F150. Was cautioned that it might not work. In 5 minutes I was shown how to easily install the antenna myself to test it out. Radio works great. They saved me time and money (at least for now). Many thanks! He has changed tops on a Jeep Wrangler, tinted glass on a couple cars, treated the paint on a brand new black VW GTI with a coating designed to protect the paint and resist deterioration from long term outdoor exposures on a Florida dock, and installed a back-up camera and center console touch screen entertainment system for our 2014 Mustang. Every job performed was professionally completed on time and within the estimate provided. Follow-up services have been unsurpassed. We love the Jeep top Dan recommended so much that we've sold the OEM top. Everything else they have done for us has been absolutely great. i have been to a couple or different car audio places and walnut creek customs is by far the best. I first came to WCC to buy a subwoofer and amp. I found that the customer service and quality of work was better than any of the other places i have been previously. When they hooked up my 03 gti, the sound blew my mind. My wife and I are car illiterates, ripe for the picking for anybody who works on our car. We believe it all and pay till we're poor. I'm not proud of that, but it's how it is. Dan and his guys are willing to go the extra mile. Several nights now I have watched him working on customer cars well after closing - getting towards 10pm or later to get a job done on time. He spent an extra hour on my Jeep, troubleshooting a twitchy LockPick that wasn't integrating with my factory Nav system. Got it right and didn't charge for any extra time even when I tried to pay him. I've noticed too in the past couple of months of his working on my Jeep and Toyota LC that he's really picked up the pace on answering and returning calls and he's become a relentless communicator. This is my first Yelp review, period. It took exceptionally good service to motivate me. The job involved integrating the original navigation system of my Lexus SC430 with a high quality rear view back-up camera. This has probably never been done before in this model of Lexus. The challenging task took almost 3X the estimated job time and was all done for the original very reasonal $ estimate. Dan was very gracious and showed no frustration about all the extra work. I had to return multiple times due to a manufacturer defect in the replacement amplifier.
