Loved the brisket sliders and the wings were very tasty. The lemon pepper were my favorite. Also ordered some fried pickles better than most. I've had, A++

Walnut Creek Pub is a fantastic neighborhood pub with great food and drink deals throughout the week! It's perfect for grabbing a drink with friends, playing some games, and enjoying some tasty pub food at reasonable prices. FAST FACTS: * Parking - small lot around the side and back of the restaurant * Online ordering - you order through a QR code at the table when you arrive * Happy hour - Monday through Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm with $1 off beers, wine, & mixed drinks and food deals * Mondays - 1/2 off burgers & game night * Tuesdays - 1/2 off wings (bone in or boneless) * Wednesdays - trivia from 7:00 - 9:00 pm (free to play w/ a $30 grand prize) * Thursdays - $5 craft drafts & BINGO from 7:00 - 9:00 pm (free to play) * Saturdays & Sundays - $3 mimosas & $12 brisket and pork belly sandwich from 12:00 - 3:00 pm & 15% off everything from 5:00 pm - 12:00 am * Sign up for their text messages and get a coupon for 50 cent wings! * Dog friendly patio area SERVICE - Walk in, grab an open table, and order using the QR code on the table. The food all came out quickly and was served hot. The workers I interacted with including food runners and the bartender were all friendly! PRICING - The total was $61.16 after tax ($4.66) but before tip for smokin' fries ($16), spicy cheese curds ($10), 5 wings ($0.50 each using a coupon code), pub burger with fries ($12 + $2 to add fries), and Korean chicken sandwich with fries ($12 + $2 to add fries). I think the pricing is reasonable for the portion size. SMOKIN' FRIES (7/10) - Great appetizer! The fries were all hot and crispy... even the ones at the bottom under all the toppings didn't get soggy. The BBQ sauce is sweet which is a nice contrast with the savory flavors. You get a decent amount of brisket for the price. I'd order this again! SPICY CHEESE CURDS (8/10) - How can fried cheese be bad?! They aren't really spicy but the texture is great... they are hot and crispy and go really well with the cold ranch. I'd order this again! WINGS (7/10) - Pretty good wings (especially when they're discounted). The garlic parmesan rub had good flavor, the chicken was fried well, and the wings were a good size. You get a few celery sticks on the side and get to pick between ranch or blue cheese on the side. I'd order these again on a Tuesday when they're half off but probably couldn't pay the full price for them. PUB BUGER (8/10) - Great burger! The smash patties are a good size and had the perfect crispy texture around the edges with the melted American cheese between each. You have the option to add more patties, brisket, pork belly, or jalapeños for an added cost. The toppings (lettuce, onion, and pickles) were all fresh, the potato bun had a great toast, and the garlic aioli added a nice flavor. You can add a side of fries for $2. I'd DEFINITELY order this again (getting it 1/2 off on Mondays is a fantastic deal). KOREAN CHICKEN SANDWICH (6/10) - This was a good sandwich but just a little too saucy. The chicken was cooked well and stayed juicy but was overpowered by the Korean BBQ sauce. The slaw and ranch dressing were refreshing but it was a little hard to eat from all the sauce. Again, you can add a side of fries for $2. I wouldn't order this again but would love to try their basic spicy chicken sandwich instead! I found Walnut Creek Pub when I was looking for places to play trivia on Wednesday night and had a great time! It definitely seems like the kind of place with regulars, which is exactly what I was looking for. I'm not a drinker but the food was good and the trivia was a lot of fun. I'll definitely be back and recommend Walnut Creek Pub to others looking for a neighborhood pub or place to play games during the week!

Great deals on the weekends. They often grill on the Patio. They have several beers on draft and a full bar. Great place to watch the games and eat wings!! Great bartender!

I'm sitting at a 3.5-3.75... we came for trivia night and had a good time! I will probably be back for trivia night even though they were quite difficult questions (it's open ended). I also love the small local pub vibe and the QR scanning app to order. The people are fast and very nice. They have a good deal where you get 50 cent wings if you text the number on their website and good deals on union (the qr menu). We tried to go for "happy hour" but I didn't really see a special menu for that. The downsides... the wings are the tiniest most salty things I've had in a very long time. I get inflation but it actually kinda felt like scraps... the celery same thing. They also felt a little overcooked?? but also slightly pink somehow??? It reminded me of chicken jerky (they might smoke it or smth? because it definitely wasn't undercooked). We tried all three dry rub flavors and the best imo was spicy ranch (good kick but hella salty), lemon pepper then garlic parm (no flavor). We also got fried pickles which were HUGE pickle slices so it wasn't very crispy. I honestly felt a little ill after. The fries looked good though but if I came back I would probably just get snacks and drinks (the drinks are pretty strong tasting too). I also feel that they should have a sign reminding people to close out their online tab too because for some reason we thought that if you closed your tab at the bar, the online tab will close as well... maybe a better system to link them or just have a sign reminding patrons that they are separate bc we got charged a 20 dollar fee :(

I really enjoy this place! This used to be Smoking Beauty which was also good and had the best Frito pie. However, they've changed up the concept to be more like a pub and the food has changed to wings. The wings are tasty and they even have a special if you sign up as part of their friends promo to get texts/messaging. I think it's like 50c wings--deal good up to a week. That being said it's just like a neighborhood bar and I plan on coming here more often. They've got a small selection of beers and cocktails that will hit the spot when you're looking for a casual place to watch football or play trivia. I recommend the floradora cocktail or tipsy Texan. Also the fries are delicious

Ok, this place deserves a 10 out of 10! Such a small comfort neighborhood bar. These are the types of small local businesses that I adore. They' don't offer your typical bar food, they took it up a notch by smoking their own meats! From smoked brisket faves to wings, this place is easily a Texan neighborhood gem. The service is not only welcoming but helpful when it comes to beer and food selections. I totally recommend this place!

Stopped in to check out Walnut Creek Pub on a Wed night and they had trivia which started at 7pm. Fun vibe and definitely chill bar scene. We signed up for their text messages, the deal at the moment is 50¢ wings when you sign up (up to 10 wings). We ordered some drinks and practically ordered all their wing flavors as a table. Everything was pretty good, buffalo hot could have been hotter, but flavor was there. I enjoyed their lemon pepper the best. Spicy cheese curds and fried pickles were great- not sure what dipping sauce that came with the pickles was, but I loved it. It had a good kick. Will return soon!

New neighborhood bar, that checks off all the boxes. Really good, crispy wings with yummy flavors. Probably the best lemon pepper wings that we've found in Austin so far. Most places either miss the mark with the lemon flavor or just do not include enough seasoning. This place does it right, with the perfect amount of butter, salty, and zest. Chill space with decent bar games. Trivia on Wednesday. Darts. Tons of TVs with games playing. We'll definitely be back.

I forgot to take pictures of my food and drinks but they were delicious. We tried the wings, fried pickles, and I had the strawberry margaritas.

Regardless of the food or ambiance the server is the face of the establishment. Bad service can easily lead to a bad review. In this case the waitress, when she finally showed up, was not friendly. She was indifferent, like we were bothering her, and had a borderline RUDE attitude. The clincher was her assumption on who was paying the bill. We waited a good ten minutes for her to initially show up. When she got to the table the first thing she asked for was a credit card to cover the drinks we ordered; which I thought was strange since our family was sitting at a table and ordering dinner. After the food was delivered she never returned to check on us. Other servers had to get us refills and were happy to do so. When she finally returned at the end of the meal with the bill , all smiles of course, she had already run the credit card without ever giving us the bill to review??? The card she asked for, for the drinks, was NOT meant to pay the bill. We were going to split the bill but since she already ran the card the cardholder didn't feel comfortable asking her to rerun the card. This was VERY awkward!! None of us have EVER experienced anything like this ever!! I wish I had gotten her name. I'm giving a 2 star review because everyone though the food was good.

Finally made our first visit so we could try "the best fish & chips" in the Austin area. I was surprised how big it was, they have a patio, a bar area and lots of tables I was shocked as from the outside it looks tiny. Service was fantastic which was shocking with them closing soon. The service was enough to want me to go back hopefully for us in this area they end up somewhere close by as I know how hard it is to find good workers. Pretzels were good! Onion rings were our favorite! Their version of the Philly was just okay, was very plain with not much flavor hubby didn't even finish half. But the star of the show was the fish and chips. My son was over the moon! Couldn't even finish half of it and he wanted to haha. Sad to see they will be closing their doors but hopefully the owner has something else up his sleeve as they were onto something with this place.

"Nosh & Bevvy Won't Forgive Me for All the Ways They Wronged Me"…read more That title is meant to be ironic. After more than fifteen years as a customer, I made one mistake: a four-dollar tab discrepancy on a day when I had just been turned away from a dental appointment because my blood pressure was too high for treatment. I was upset, distracted, and wanted to be around people I believed were my friends. That was the last day I ever stayed there as a customer. Let's go down the list. I have been accused of skipping out on my tab. The truth is that after fifteen years of faithful patronage, there was one incident involving approximately four dollars. I had added items to my order, paid cash, and made a mistake. One mistake in fifteen years. After that happened, I became concerned that I would continue to be treated as though I couldn't be trusted. In my experience, comments about unpaid tabs continued to surface. Rather than create another misunderstanding, I made a point of being generous. On the very next occasion I tipped Charlie more than fifty percent. Instead of feeling appreciated, I arrived the next time feeling insulted when the entire amount was simply pocketed without so much as an acknowledgment. Maybe others see that differently. That's how it felt to me. The situation became even more disturbing when interactions began taking place outside the bar itself. While standing in front of my own home, I experienced conduct that I considered harassment. As a result, I filed a police report and have the corresponding case number in my email records. What disturbed me even more were stories that reached me through people connected to my former partner. According to what we were told, false rumors were being circulated claiming that my ex-girlfriend had committed suicide. Whether people thought this was gossip, entertainment, or somehow harmless, it was not. The psychological harm caused by spreading something like that is difficult to overstate. Shame on everyone involved. What you don't know is Satara an I  spoke with witnesses that completely implicated Gilbert in the rumor. What strikes me now is that I nearly forgave all of this. I removed earlier reviews because I genuinely wanted to move on. I thought it was over. I thought everyone could move on with their lives. Apparently not. If people insist on dragging the issue back into the light, then here it is. The reality is that I don't even particularly miss the place. What I do object to is being disrespected. When a business chooses to disrespect a customer who supported it for fifteen years, there are consequences. One of those consequences is that customer telling his side of the story publicly. A Message to the Staff: If I believe I am being harassed in public--whether at Night Owl or anywhere else--I will pursue every legal remedy available to me. And Sam, for what it's worth, I am sorry that your employees have represented your business in a way that ultimately cost you a longtime customer and the loss of business from everyone else that read & took this review to heart as a warning & again, Sam & Charlie, for what it's worth I wanted to make all of this go away.  Fifteen years. One four-dollar mistake. And somehow I'm still the one expected to apologize when I feel like my partner and I were the ones most wronged. Because I'm not a completely vindictive man. If I get an apology from every employee that works building that knows me, In writing, I will remove this review. -- Mad Dashiell
