RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! i just recently signed my 3rd lease at this complex and am instantly…read moreregretting it. my bathroom ceiling was leaking for quite awhile to which the maintenance team couldn't care less about, literal water dripping from my ceiling/SQUISHY ceiling and they tried to tell me there was no water damage and everything was fine. after weeks of going back and forth via email, they finally hired outside contractors to "fix" my issue and told me once the job is completed, they will add a balance to my account which would go towards my rent. fast forward TWO MONTHS, after leaving gaping holes in my ceilings for weeks on end, the job was almost finished when another problem arose in my master bathroom, the ceiling/wall is quite literally BUBBLING UP. i have taken photos and documented every step of this god awful experience and sent them into what i believe to be a higher up at georgetown apartments. my first bathroom problem has finally been fixed but i haven't heard a single word from anyone about the bubbling ceiling in my additional bathroom and NO BALANCE has been added to my account. the rent is too high for them to completely ignore issues like this!! PLEASE do not sign a contract with these people, it's just one headache after the next!!

I had even had it faxed to them the very day it was due, but coincidentally they lost my paperwork and didn't inform me until months later. At that point, they had already charged my account for all of those months that it was missing. Similar instances have occurred at least 2 other times. Awesome. Thanks, Georgetown. Can't wait to move out next month!

Website says the Office Hours opens at 8am…read more I scheduled a tour online for 8:30 am. Drove an hour to get here. I got here and the sign on the building shows their hours open at 9. Walked up to the door at 9am, there's a Sign on the door saying "open come in" and it's locked. Waste of time driving out here . Update your websites so people don't come early

I could see they liked to have things kept clean and nice for their residents. We stopped by the leasing office on the way out one day and the staff was really polite and helpful for my friend which in my experience, isn't always the case. The office was so beautiful too with so many amenities there. Unfortunately it was too cold for the pool but the area had chairs and tables for whenever it's warm enough. There's also a gym for residents to use there. The area is a great location with good places to eat and grocery/convenience stores nearby. It's also not a far drive from Detroit where we flew into. And about a 45 minute drive from Frankenmuth, MI which was so much fun to go to. Even as a guest I felt welcomed. If I were ever to move up, I would definitely want to live here!

I can no longer recommend Silver Lake Hills! Three times our furnace as gone out since December…read more Getting it taken care of takes longer then calling a heating company, and getting it fixed. It is bad enough maintenance staff seem to like to dispute well known facts, like turning your heat down when not home. For us we are saving about $35.00 or more a month. They just replace a washer/dryer combo, yet the dryer part of the unit makes a loud banging sound.

My boyfriend and I recently decided to take the next step and move in together, and after months of searching for the right place (and best bang for our buck), we fell in love with Silver Lake Hills. Donna Smith in particular, was so helpful and AMAZING! She helped us every step of the way, was patient with my questions and indecisiveness and just all around helpful. We received an approval on an apartment within a day and she got back to us in a timely manner on what our next steps would be post-approval. We are so excited to live at Silver Lake Hills and cannot wait to move in!

The apartment complex is very nice, however we had multiple issues with the staff while we were…read morethere; the staff (maintenance) let themselves into our apartment several times with no warning and no reason other than that they were doing routine checks. I was in my child's nursery nursing my newborn when I heard knocking from the other room. I couldn't answer the door without waking my child and so I decided I'd let the person at the door think I wasn't home and leave. However, it hadn't occurred to me that the knocker was maintenance and that they would enter the apartment without a response to their knocking. And they did; they came right in. I called management to inform them of the incident explaining that I have a newborn baby and no longer wanted unexpected visits (as well as for a multitude of other reasons, one being if I was in the shower and could not hear the knocking at the door). I explained to the manager that I also wouldn't want maintenance to accidentally enter my apartment when I am unaware of their presence (if I were showering or sleeping) especially because I have a baby. The manager raised her voice at me multiple times stating that they would continue to enter my apartment whenever they wanted. I finally told her to either sign a note on my lease requiring my permission to enter my apartment otherwise my husband and I would take the matter up with the landlord. Needless to say, the staff there are untrustworthy... And kind of creepy.
