Berlin is a city known for its street art, and if I'd known this prior I'd have made it a point to seek out more pieces. This spot came up in g-maps as an area with a fairly high concentration of murals painted on the full multi-story buildings so I was excited to see them. Art doesn't need to be framed on a museum to be spectacular and these artists created some really jaw-dropping paintings. The scale alone is tremendously difficult to work with, let alone the process of sketching and concepting pieces like this, then actually painting on the surface of a building for probably days or weeks to complete each piece.
There are smaller works on some of the surrounding buildings too, I don't want to detract from those--very talented artists all around and their imaginative creativity is truly inspirational. So much respect and love! read more
