We always get a cone for the drive home in LA traffic and they're 4 for $44 special. I learned that this is a really popular LA chain! I LOVED their ice cream and think the consistency is some of the best I've ever tried. When I visited around 9:00 pm on a Thursday, there were only a few groups of people in line. There is also a self-service kiosk outside, but I wanted to try the flavors before deciding. The shop is unique and offers a variety of Asian-inspired flavors, and the staff member was nice to let me sample a more than a few options. I ended up ordering a small scoop ($7.50) of mango sticky rice, which I later found out is one of their popular flavors. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and how closely it resembled the actual dessert. The mango tasted fresh and naturally sweet without being overpowering, and the texture reminded me of sticky rice. The ube flavors came through nicely but my favorite was the crunchy malted pieces that reminded me of the inside of the Maltesers I had growing up. The coconut sampaguita not only radiated strong coconut taste, but also a fragrant jasmine flavors. The nuttiness and the crunchy coconut flakes contrasted nicely with the floral aroma! In terms of texture, I do like how their ice cream is pretty creamy, which contrasted with the ube waffle bowl we got. The ube flavors from the waffle wasn't that prominent but I liked how it was crunchy throughout. The staff member was super patient with me (I tried a lot of flavors since I haven't been back to LA for a while). This location had limited indoor and outdoor seating. **March 2025: Weeknight Visit** I had Wanderlust Creamery one or maybe two times when they did pop ups back when I lived in LA. I was recently in the Sawtelle area and drove past the brick and mortar store and thought I'd pop by. This shop is located located in a small strip mall and parking is pretty tight. For a Tuesday night the area was really lively and busy. They have a rotating menu (as well as signature flavors), and allow patrons to sample before purchase. I got two flavors - Sakura Crunch (a strawberry & uji matcha with kit kats) and another flavor (the name escapes me) that was lychee based. Honestly, everything there was delicious and it just depends on what you're in the mood for. There isn't really a seating area, but you'll probably finish it before heading back to the car. It is a tad pricey for ice cream (1 split single scoop $7, and 1 double scoop $11 for a total of $18), but if you want to "treat yo self" this guilty pleasure will fit the bill. Enjoy! read more

Creamy, icy and cold treat on a cold evening gave us rosy cheeks. We were able to sample a few flavors before finally deciding on our chosen flavor.
