Oh my goodness!!! I thought I was being pranked! I have used this company twice and NEVER AGAIN…read more First time was in 2025, when I needed help with my sons graduation party. Plus was that the booking process was easy, pricing was fair, received a confirmation, etc. The day of the event the helper was a no show. And I did not get notified until she was 20 mins for arrival. They did find someone else (Thankfully) that showed up 1 1/2 hrs later but she was a great help. Now for this year, I decided to use them again because the ease of booking and availability. This time I booked almost 45 days in advance, got a confirmation, etc. The week of the event I received noticed that the helper has changed but the new person confirmed. Day of event, I get a call (shortly after the start time) that the helper is running late due to traffic. 20 minutes later the helper herself called that she is on her way but running late. I was fine with this, I was not upset, just told her to get to my house safely and I will see her when she gets there.... this is now over an hour of start time. The helper finally showed up, she was dropped of by someone and started heading towards the house, I immediately noticed something was off... she was dressed innappropriately, had a large sun heat and was wearing glasses with ONE LENSE. I knew something was off with her and when I approached her, she forgot my name and was pretty incoherent as to what is going on or what she was there for. I was not comfortable with her in front of my house, let alone inside my house around my guests. She was in very bad shape, sadly. After a conversation that was very difficult because she was unable to give me straight answer on what was going on with her. I decided to order and pay for her uber to get her home safely. She had no money, no working credit cards, no car, etc. She asked for food and water before leaving. I contacted Party Host Helpers right away, no one called me directly all we did is message. Now its monday and still no call back, no refund not reimbursment for the Uber. I have sympathy for the young lady. Really unreiable and the last thing a customer needs to deal with when hosting a party.

Here's the oddest part, many of us thought they were friends because they worked so effortlessly together. Shocked to find out they only met today. After starting to work with the ladies, Emily Weinstein in particular, my doubts went away after about 30 seconds. We worked with MDE for over a year, and it couldn't have been more of a wonderful experience. MDE had never thrown a wedding in Hawaii but you would have never known it. The research, recommendations and relationships they made with the Hawaiian vendors rivals any planner who is actually based in Hawaii. Not only was the wedding far from where they are based in Chicago but it was also a Jewish/Military wedding. MDE understood how we wanted to the wedding to look and made it come to life. They were always calm, collective and supportive even when things got a little stressful due to the fact that the groom was deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months of the planning. They were extremely organized, helpful, detail orientated and through with every detail whether it be big or small. Not only were they excellent with their planning but you got the sense from all three women, Michelle, Emily and Sterling that they really cared about you. They wanted the best for you and wanted to make a truly special day for you. I feel like we have this bond that will remain long after the wedding. They created a dream wedding for us and I am so sad that its over. I HIGHLY recommend using MDE for any of your big events. PRE-WEDDING: Abby did some preliminary work for me the week of the wedding, calling vendors to double check everything and working out a timeline for the big day. That was extremely helpful because as a bride you get a million questions about what time everything will take place and who has to be where for what. It was my officiants first wedding so Abby helped him work out the kinks of the ceremony and gave great suggestions. WEDDING DAY: Abby was scheduled to arrive at my hotel suite at noon but of course things started to go wrong before that. My flowers were wrong, my photographer was in the hospital and the place cards didn't have the meal selections on them. My maid of honor called Abby and she immediately went to work fixing things she could over the phone and she wasn't even on the clock yet. Once she arrived at my suite, with Chipotle for the entire bridal party! - she got right to work. Checking in with all of my vendors, fixing the place cards and making sure we were on track for timing. She helped my new photographer get an idea of what I wanted and helped him set everything up. I didn't worry about a thing! There were many times during the night were I would need something and right away Abby was there to help. I became a little crazy at some points screaming "AH! ABBY!!!! WHERE'S ABBY?!" and instantly she would appear with a smile on her face, armed with safety pins or a bottle of water. Everything was covered. My bridesmaids were also beyond thrilled to have Abby there so they could ask her questions and not have to worry me. No one wants to ask the bride where their boyfriend should sit during the ceremony or if they have enough time to run back to their room before introductions start; but these are questions that need to be answered and Abby had them all covered. I felt at ease knowing she was there to fix any little snafus that popped up. I could literally write a 5 page review on all the amazing things she did that day but hopefully you get the gist. My wedding was better because of her. Having a "day of" wedding coordinator makes your day so much better because you can relax and enjoy yourself and Abby is a terrific choice!

I knew I wanted to work with Abby from our first meeting where I thought I was very buttoned up, but Abby rightly asked some very good detail questions. In the following few months Abby was very diligent about following up and with a few additional meetings, I felt extremely comfortable leaving my wedding in her capable hands. The day before the wedding, I explained the final details to Abby and then the day-of, she and Christy were totally autonomous. The whole wedding day I kept saying in amazement - "I can't believe how perfectly this is all coming together" - and that's totally because of Abby. She met with us several times leading up to the wedding to ensure she had a full understanding of timelines, vendors, our desires for the wedding and reception, tip distribution, and probably a ton of behind-the-scenes work we don't even see. While we definitely put a ton of work into planning, Julie was the glue that held all that planning together.
